amazing location and really really loud!!
steps from the beach, really cute Delux Bungalows
7.7
really great location to the beach, really nice staff and cool restaurant just outside your door. you have to stay here only if you are planing to party other then that do yourself a favor and stay on the other side of the island if you want to relax. you are situated in between four beach clubs that are crazy at night and the music (bass) bumps till 3:30 every night. we stayed for 2 nights which was just fine but opted to stay on the other side of the island so we could actually sleep the next night.
Restaurant Tip:
Go down the main street by woody's and sample some of the great street food. Much better then any of the places to eat on the island and so much cheaper!!

Very basic and very loud
Next to the beach. Lovely in the morning.
2.7
I deliverately booked a room away from the beach having read the reviews on here. Nonetheless, when we arrived, we had ben "upgraded" to a bungalow at the front.
Seriously - how can anyone stay in one of these rooms?. We were relaxing at about 8 pm in the room and could not hear the TV, two meters across the room. We went back to reception and insisted on being "downgraded".
But it is very, very basic. There is almost no water pressure, the toilet kept backing up, we had to ask for the room to be cleaned (twice) I couldnt even get a coffee in the morning and had to go to the Beach Bar next door (which is fine, as it turned out).
Final thing - we travelled over CNY and this most basic of room cost an absolute fortune. It is probably the worst value for money Ive ever had in Asia (and I live here)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to Bamboo Island. Stunning

If you want to sleep..don't stay here.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. We had stayed here about 4 years ago and it was fine. The bungalows are cute. The water in the bathroom trickles in and don't expect a fresh towel until 6 p.m. the next day, due to the outsourcing of laundry services off of the island. The location is beach front. All of this is manageable, however, in the 4 years since we've stayed here, Koh Phi Phi has built up A LOT and there is way more going on. This has made Baia Baia a horrible place to stay.
At night...the tranquil beach turns into a throbbing, bass pounding, beach rave. Baia Baia is right in the middle of all of the beach clubs and party scene. We didn't sleep at all. The bass pounding, club remixes stop at 2:30 a.m. The music at the near by beach cafe, which also blasts into your room, starts at 10:30 a.m.
After the first night, we asked if we could move hotels, well with pre-paid, sure, we could leave, but we couldn't get a refund. We now know why this hotel won't give refunds. If you want to sleep, you would have to leave. A lot of people must try and get refunds.
We decided to buy earplugs, which did little to stop the blaring Katy Perry music at 2:00 a.m. I actually cried one night, I was so frustrated by the noise. After this, I decided to suck it up and pay for another hotel. Unfortunately, we were also there during the high season and every hotel went to was full. It was another night "sleeping" in da club.
After 4 nights here, I was ready to get off of Koh Phi Phi. It's really sad that most of my time on Phi Phi was spent sleeping during the day on the beach because I hadn't slept at night.
I still have a headache when I think about "sleeping" here. So...stay here...unless you want to sleep.

Lovely hotel, amazing views and friendly staff.
The location - right on the beach and near all the shops, restaurants and nightlife. The food in Ciao Bella restaurant next door is good and it's a nice place to sit and look at the georgeous views.

Only negative is that it is very noisy at night due to the beach parties - the hut was literally vibrating with the bass. So if you're not into nightlife and parties, this is not the place for you! That's the reason we went to Koh Phi Phi though so it didn't bother us.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It's definitely worth doing one of the boat trips. We paid 500 baht (approx £10) from a local agent for a half day trip and it was well worth it to see all the different islands and visit some excellent snorkelling sights.

clean, service with smile

We stayed one night at the Baia Baia hotel. It's ideally located, just a few meters from the beach, shop and nighclubs.
For those who are looking a quiet place, its a bit noice because off the loud music but ideal for party lovers.

Great bungalows, right on the party area, great food

We had a great time at Baia Baia. It was very hard to find. We got pointed in all directions from the locals but if you ask where Caio Bella restaurant is, you wil find it! Really nice bungalow (my frends stayed in the rooms which were nice too). If you don't want to be out partying then this place isn't for you. We were out the first night and home when the music had stopped, but the following night it was impossible to sleep as the bungalow is litterally right on a beach bar ..but we knew this from the reviews so expected it!

Lovely Bungalow and great service.
air-con, wifi, and friendly and helpful staff!
7.7
baia baia was easy to get to, just ask directions to ciao bella, or where the beach parties are held, and you will get there in no time. about 15 mins walk from the pier. after reading previous reviews about this place, i was a little worried about the cleanliness beforehand but i was pleasantly surprised when i came to a very clean and comfortable bungalow! just a few meters away from the beach! very convenient. even had wi-fi and flat screen tv in the bungalow. the light on my balcony was dead for the first 2 nights but they managed to get an electrician to come and fix it, very nice and helpful. they will clean your room every day too. but yes, it can get very loud at night because its right in the middle of the beach parties. it goes on till about 3am.
all in all, i would highly recommend this place! ciao bella serves grrrreat italian food too! :)

the staff that work here are really friendly and the restaurant serves lovely food. the prices are very reasonable too.
the bungalow was good value for the money. we had a flat screen tv and air con. it was made up everyday and was really clean.
baia baia is located right on the beach so you step out of your bungalow and you're on the sand.
but, there are also 3 huge bars/clubs located right on the same beach, so if you're after a relaxing chilled out escape from the crowds, phi phi is not for you. they often have really loud club music playing until 2-3am. so not for those wanting an early night.
so, if you can't beat em, join em.
