It was a beautiful and relaxing experience. The staff was good, however, I did have a few issues with housekeeping. Being a self contained resort I was at the mercy of the resort regarding meals. It would have been nice to know in advance how expensive dining and drinking would be. Be prepared to spend USD$130 and up per day for meals and a few drinks (per couple).

Incredible stay in a very comfortable room. We took advantage of the restaurants and scuba diving center next door as well as the amazing beach area and snorkeling just next to the hotel.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The room was a nice clean modern room with a huge balcony and an outside shower with a nice breeze. The air con worked great and we had a slightly obstructed sea view. It was a great view and about 25 feet from the beach. The water and the beach were beautiful. The grounds were immaculate and the pools were beautiful. From end to end of the resort took 10 minutes. The bad things were the food was not good. The breakfast buffet was normal quality nothing so over the top. The one thing that was good was that they had a decent espresso machine. Aside from that. The dinner at the buffet and beach side seating was horrible. The place was beautiful and romantic but the service was horrible, slow and unresponsive. No water at the table and I had to send 3 meals back. My first night I ordered a steak. Med rare. It came out hard as a rock with mashed potatoes dry as sand. 750 baht. Next night I ordered a pizza and it took almost a half hour. Then they made it incorrectly then took almost another half hour to make a new one. 300 baht. If the quality of the food matched the prices this place would be heaven. The waiters are slow and take up to 15 minutes to get a coke to the table and 15 minutes to bring you your check. The resort has a real laid back atmosphere which is great for us guest. But unfortunately the staff also has the same attitude. Slow and unconcerned. They corrected everything that was wrong aside from the steak. Also the buffet was so small that if your a picky eater you will go to bed hungry and overcharged. Plus on top of that everything has a 10% service charge and a 7% VAT charge on everything you buy at the hotel. And you are charged no matter how poor the service. THe only other down side is getting there and back. It is a torturous taxi to ferry to small boat ride. With very little assistance on a very crowded boat. And it take about 5 to 6 hours each way. We really enjoyed our stay here, and will definitely return. The location is beautiful, white sandy beaches, and clear blue/green seas. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a large selection. There is 2 small islands (mosquito and bamboo islands) out from the hotel that we took a tour to, for snorkeling and relaxing on the beach the scenery there was beautiful. The beach in front of the hotel is very nice too. One small disappointment, was that we couldn't get chairs at the swimming pool because it was too busy.
