brilliant hotel, almost perfect

everything is perfect here except this hotel charges you 800 Thai money for the round trip to Tong Sai pier (the hotel is 15-min to Tong Sai Pier by boat),I suppose it should be included in the room service.
However, I still recommend it as the best place in Phi-phi island, I believe it has the best view in this whole land and the staff are really nice.

Treated like royalty

from the moment our taxi boat touched the shores of village resort we were treated like royalty, carrying our luggage, serving us cocktails and performing the check-in process for us. the hotel facilities are 5 stars - amazing rooms, pool, in-pool bar and restaurants. this hotel was the highlight of our trip in thailand.
Restaurant Tip:
It surprised us but the hotel actually makes better Western dishes than local Thai dishes. Plus, the restaurants in the hotel are quite expensive even when compared to home, so there is a cheaper option eating in the village just outside the resort.

Great service and rooms but isolated location

Excellent service began immediately upon stepping off the boat. Room was excellent ... Much attention to detail like complimentary fruit and bathrobes. Beach was disappointing because of a dramatic tide but the spacious and relaxing pool made up for it.

3 night honeymoon, boat transfer only to this hotel, beautiful large beach, no in room Internet service, soaps and shampoos were amazing coconut smell, private bungalow, staff was slow to respond to our luggage issues and checkout can be very slow.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Boat transfer from Phuket to Phi Phi Island was horrible with no air-condition and no open windows. Transferred to 4 different boats. The return trip was totally opposite, it was air-conditioned and staff was wonderful. I'm not sure why service was so different between the two when both trips where booked through the same place.

Great hotel on a beautiful island

we had a deluxe room. i had originally looked into the oceanfront and was glad that i chose deluxe. the price was better and we still had a view of the ocean. staff was friendly. the thai resteraunt on site was fantastic, we ate their twice. the ocean bar and grill was overpriced and not very good. the food at their pool bar and marlin resteraunt was good. they had great excursions. once we went on a boat snorkeling tour and once we rented a longboat with a couple that we met at the resort. if you go into the village, you can get much cheaper massages although not with the same ambiance as the spa. overall we loved our stay.

can't even begin to describe this paradise! super friendly reception upon arrival by boat, topped with a refreshing glass of pina colada :) our private pool villa was nothing short of amazing – the pool with built-in jacuzzi, the amazing hilltop view of the entire resort and pristine shoreline, even the little personal notes that greet us all around the villa. an overall satisfying experience!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
if you haven't already gone to the beautiful maya bay, the recreation center staff will book a longboat (belonging to the resort of course) for you and yours just before your noon checkout time. only 45 mins away, you'll have enough time to enjoy maya bay and lo sama bay before you take your longboat back to the main pier.

this hotel is a longboat ride from the main part of ko phi phi. once you are on this resort, there is no leaving or entering as they have their own privtae beacvh access. the boats to the other parts of the island which is very expensive.
they claim to be a 5star resort but it is more like a 3 star. i stayed in a superior room which was not up to the standards of a 5 star (5 star to me includes four seasons, shangri-la, mandarin, aman etc). this is more like a 2.5 or 3star. the bathrooms had some mold on the corners and there were some spider webs in the window frames. the decor was quite dated. also there was no internet access outside the main lobby. for a place that charges so much, internet should be available.
pool is nice, restaurant food is pretty decent and privtae beach is nice.
i would not recommend this place to solo travelers or those who would pay full price. i booked for multiple days but left after the first. i was a solo traveler which was also boring as no where near the action.
full of honeymooners and retired people. if you are traveling solo or looking for any night time entertainment - choose somewhere else
