Beautiful location, excellent resort
The resorts own private beach
9.3
Would reccomend to anyone, feels like paradise on your own private beach, great food in the restaurants and excellent service. Lovely rooms with thoughtful touches, perfect for a romantic getaway to get away from it all. Will be staying at this resort again we really enjoyed our stay and wished we had longer!

we loved our stay here, we were there for a wedding and it was the perfect location to relax with friends during the lead up to the big day. it is fairly remote so if you are looking for a party location then this is not the place for you.

Had to stay at this resort as part of a group attending a wedding, I must say that the wedding was very well done and the staff working were great, very helpful and friendly.
However if I returned to Phi Phi Island I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
From a 4.5 star hotel I do not expect food poisoning or blocked toilets. Or towels that smell of cigarette smoke.
I expect my room to be serviced (this was not done, and when they showed up to do it we were getting ready for the wedding - they knew this as they had an Order of Service to leave behind in the room - other wedding guests complained of this also.
Also, completely my own fault, I left 2 bags there. I know exactly where they were left in the room and I emailed the hotel a couple of hours asking for them to be given to the Groom who was still at the resort. The hotel staff claimed they could not find they, I find this hard to believe seen as I know exactly where they were left. Honesty goes a long way and I was very disappointed with this.
Restaurant Tip:
The food is very expensive however there is a small group of shops behind the resort, head to the restaurant there for dinner or lunch. The staff are great and will join in the fun with you and tell stories. The wedding guests all went here the night before the wedding, the were happy to accommodate all 20+ of us and the food was amazing, we weren't charged for drinks, and the staff got in on the fun. Buy a cookbook from the bar which is handwritten to take the delicious meals home with you!

Beautiful resort on a great island.
If you dont wish to eat in the resort there are a number of small very good Thai restaurants behind the resort on a small road. We ate there every day along with many other guests.

beach, pool, service, attention to details

we loved our stay. our only issue was that we felt like the food options were small. otherwise a wonderful time and my child loved it, too!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Recommend getting a longtail to see the island, more flexible and affordable.

Great hotel on a long secluded beach
Service, fascilities, private bungalows, food
9.7
this hotel is very big, it is a small village! it is located on a long private beach, which is very clean. the hotel area is very well managed with beautiful buildings, gardens and vegetation. the pool area with pool side bar is also beautiful. it is an eco-friendly hotel and very service oriented. the restaurants have good food and at night there is a live band playing music at one of the bars. spa service is good as well. this hotel is on the northern part of the island and if you want to get to the main area with all the bars, clubs and shops you have to take a motor boat. there is a tour desk there that can arrange island hopping, charter of boats, diving, snorkeling etc. this is a great place for relaxation and just enjoying the beach and nature in quite surroundings. although sometimes at night you can hear a little music at night from the clubs in the main part of phi phi, i think this depends on the winds direction, but it is faint and should not bother your sleep.

great beach resort villa
hospitality, service, facilities
9.7
from the bigining (welcome drink) to the end, it was great to stay there. I wanted to just relax and I satisfied very much. the beach is used by guests of this resort only. so, no suspicious people are there. the superior villa was great, too. it was like "private". I want to have a drink at the pool bar next time. their speed boat was very convenience.
Hotel Feature Tip:
they have many things to do... tour desk has a lot of option to do. if you have enough money, try the restaurant at the hill side.

Beautiful grounds, but rooms need updating
Beautiful gardens, nice pool area, gorgeous views, good breakfast offerings
5.3
We stayed at Phi Phi Island Village for two nights in July 2011. While we were very impressed by the resort grounds and facilities, we were a bit disappointed with the rooms, especially since this resort was much more expensive than other hotels we stayed at in Thailand that were much nicer. The decor in the rooms is a bit dated, and feels run down. The maid service was also lackluster--there were dead bugs on our floors and in the shower that weren't swept up the entire time we were there. Also, I wouldn't suggest this hotel for people who are creeped out by bugs, as the rooms aren't very well bug-proofed--on our first night alone we found a lizard, a cockroach, and a giant spider in our room. The hotel is also quite far from Tonsai Bay, the main village, and it costs 200 baht/pp per way to take the hotel longtail into town, so if you want to be able to visit shops, ATMs, bars, or restaurants during your stay, this may not be the best place for you. There is a tiny village hidden behind the resort that has a couple of small restaurants, a dive shop/tour company, and a couple of very small convenience stores--so if you don't want to pay the hotel's exorbitant prices for dinner (900 baht pp!), I'd suggest heading back tree to Pad Thai Restaurant for some good, reasonably priced Thai food.
Restaurant Tip:
Visit Pad Thai Restaurant in the village behind the resort for some good, cheap Thai food and skip the hotel's overpriced dinners.
