the hotel was very close to everything but my room had no noise from outside the hotel area. Bars shops and food started right outside the hotel with water front eating about 2 mins walk away. The hotel was about 5 mins walk from the pier. The staff were good but not as friendly as other places ive stayed in the area.

Expensive for what you get

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Thailand and probably one of the worst.
The rooms are small and not very clean.
The hotel is in a central location but it has no sea views. Also it is very noisy at night - you hear the loud music from the bars and there is some kind of generator outside the hotel that makes a lot of noise. All this when we were on the 3rd floor.
The hotel does not offer free wifi.
You do not just get pool towels - you have to go and sign for them at the reception desk every time you need them.
The reception staff are not very nice.
Breakfast was not good at all.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The tours to Maya beach and the surrounding Phi Phi beaches are great!
Our tour included a BBQ dinner on a secret beach with a fire show. It was really wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay here. The beds where comfy and the room clean. The location is great being the middle of town, but wasnt too noisy. The breakfast was also pretty good. We would stay again.

I have stayed in phi phi before in a basic hotel and thought We would go for a hotel with a pool and breakfast. We went with pp palm tree based on reviews , and we loved our stay. It was nice to be right in the centre of it all and still being able to relax by the pool, which was totally secluded. The breakfast was great and being a vegatarian I found I had enough to choose from. Would definitely stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the garlic restaurant, food is amazing and staff great!

The staff are friendly. Several Agoda reviewers complained about the staff but we found the staff were all friendly and helpful. Bedroom and bathroom modern and good size. Breakfast fresh, tasty and good variety. Room windows face pleasant internal courtyard with small pool and garden. Free access to gym in partner hotel which is quite new, very large and fully equipped. About 10 minutes walk to the beach.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
5th visit to Phi Phi. 7 years ago it was relaxing and quiet with bungalows. Now central Phi Phi Don is very built up with hotels and shops. Many bars attracting people in their 20s. The small lanes and shops near the beach look terrible. Phi Phi Don has deteriorated over the past 7 years. Difficult to get Thai food, but easy to get pizza and hamburgers (if that is what you want). Coral around Phi Phi Lei is bleached due to rising sea temperatures.

Lovely Hotel in the middle of all activity

P.P. Palm Tree Resort is very well located at the centre of everything. It is equidistant from the pier and the beach where all the parties are held. Around the hotel there are places to shop for anyhting you might need on a beach resort / island like clothes, shades, footwear, swimming/diving/snorkelling gear, etc. All the bars and good restaurants are also at easy walking distance from the hotel.

Slinky - a vibrant beach club with the best parties

Good hotel located strategically

The stay was quite comfortable and relaxed. Our room was a pool access room, i.e., I could just walk into the pool from my balcony which was a very convenient thing to have. The hotel is quite well kept.
