Nice place with a great view
A clean and nice place up on the hill.
7.3
After having stayed in an overpriced rat hole for the first night, this place was a relief. The hotesl is located up on the hill, so consider walking up some 60 steps. The cottage was nice and clean, had a great balcony and a beautiful view. Breakfast was poor but everything else ok. Free wifi only works in the lobby. For internet in the rooms they charge a bit too much.

Stayed here for two days. Yes, big stairs to get to the hotel. Suitcases got carried for us, great service. Amazing view from the island. Nice room too. Free internet only in the hotel lobby.

We stayed for one night and found that the stairs that others mention in this review are actually as bad as they say! we are active people at home but you do have to plan your day out in town because after 3 trips up and down it is tiring in the heat. It is quite expensive here, not sure it is worth the price for what you get although all accommodation on Phi Phi is pricey. on the plus side, it is far enough away it is quiet at night..
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
hike up to the viewpoint, easy acccess from hotel via stairs..best part of our trip to Phi Phi

Great Location with a beautiful view
Friendly staff, great food, clean rooms, and a beautiful view
9.7
We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was very clean, and we had an amazing view, overlooking both bays. It's quite the hike up the stairs to the resort, but it's worth it. It's close enough to everything, but far enough away from the noise. And, it's half way up to the View Point, so climbing up to the View Point was easy!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Beautiful view! Lots of stairs, but they keep you in good shape :) It's worth it!

Generous room with amazing view, but awful stairs
View, large and cozy room, amiable personnel.

We stayed for 2 nights in december 2011 at room 612.
The room was very good, extra large, with a generous balcony and amazing views. At breakfast time you couldn't be more relaxed and they had it really well mounted.
I read the warnings about the difficult stairs, but I did not listen.
So please be warned, to get to the reception you need to climb some stairs - they are difficult but not so bad. But then, to get to your bungalow, if you are lucky like us to be on the 6th level, climbing the stairs with the humid heat is an horrific experience most of the times. For someone that knows Phi Phi it is just below the View Point, where hikers climb to see the view.
Another small incident is that I booked a ferry trip to Krabi from the hotel and I payed 400 baht negociating it from 450. I was surprised to see that in the village the price was 250.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Stay close to the Mosque and on the Andaman Legacy side. It's cleaner, less noisy, less smelly and you can get in 10 minutes walking everywhere on the island, including the drunken party adolescentine beach Ao Lo Dalam Bay.

Good hotel with great view

Great place to stay if you don't mind walking up the stairs for about 10 minutes (about half way up to the view point).

was not impressed with this hotel what so ever. This was the second time my partner and I had gone to phi phi Island, last time we stayed in a 3 star hotel that was fantastic, this time I felt like leaving. It took about 5-10 minutes to walk up these concrete stairs that you had to take 2 steps on each stairs, it was very draining. The rooms were dirty and our request for a double bed was 2 single beds pushed together. The staff were quite rude and not helpful at all. I was not happy with the service or location, and I would NOT reccommend staying here if you WANT to enjoy your holiday. Honestly pay a little more, get a pool and a descent hotel, this is not worth it!

Great view, worth the hike!
Attractive rooms with great views
7.3
The Arobeal hotel has large rooms with a smart design and amazing views over the island. However, you have to be fit and active to get to it. It is close enough to the nightlife but also far enough away to escape most of the noise (can hear the music all over the island at night).
However, the room wasnt clean until we asked for it to be cleaned, maybe the hike puts off the cleaners! The staff were friendly, however, we waited 55minutes for breakfast one morning as they forgot us, even though there were only 4 other people eating at the time. Also when we asked to extend our stay, they said no problem only to wake us in the morning to say we had to leave. Atleast they organised an alternative for us across the isalnd at a busy time of year.
Overall it is a good hotel, maybe overpriced but that seems to be the case for Koh Phi Phi in general.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel is only suitable to fit, active people. Not suitable for elderly travellers or families with young children.

hotel of good view
good view from the mountain
4.3
we've booked a superior with a double bed, but when we get there, we waited a long time for check in. then we found out that the room is very bad with two single beds squeezed together. the bathroom is also not in a very good condition.
besides, it is quite far away from the beach. but the view is very good, and it is on the half way of view point.
