A hotel that can bring you a unique experience

We 4 people stayed there for one night on 10/09/2011, standard fan rooms. The first impression we have had is the location, it is around 15 mins from the pier at Phi Phi island, and I believe it's almost the furthest hotel from the pier. Yet it was really worth the price, the hotel situated on the hill, gave us not only a nice view but also a unique experience staying there.
The staircase up to our rooms (each room is a small chalet) is high, so in case you have old person in your group, you might want to ask for low-floor room. The staff there are very friendly, it looks like a family hotel the first time we saw it. The owner was nice, he offered us the ride up & down the hill. Breakfast is just standard, but it was nice having our breakfast next to a small lake. And importantly, the price is relatively cheap.
The room is simple and standard, yet no carpet. Though without air-con, the air up there is cool enough for a nice sleep.
Overall, if you do not have any problem with your physical condition, I highly recommend this place for all.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Avoid staying any hotel near the north beach of Phi Phi island if you are not a nightlife person. There are always parties on the beach every night, and it's loud enough to keep you awake until 3AM.

My wife and i were in the hotel for two night and we got a little disappointed. First of all, the hotel is a bit far from the city center and once you get to the hotel you still have to go up o lot of stairs. If you think that you will have a quiet night because you are far of the craziness, your are wrong. For some acoustic reason you will hear all the music coming from the beach. The room and bathroom were ok. The staff was really nice and helpful as much as the can.

quiet away from the raging parties on the beach, 5 min walk from main area and 10 min walk from beach although having the pool is so handy as its so hot. really good value for money, clean lovely rooms, although pillows were rock hard. all in all i'd go back

Perfect escape, a distance walk from the pier

Stay in here good for your health. The room they provide are like a villa,the spread on the hill, so if you want go to your room, take a climb through small path to your room. Poor them if got the top one.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
take a walk about 20 minutes to Tonsai bay and Loh Dalum bay.

Decent Rooms, Rude Service, Bad Location

Like I said, rooms are decent and mostly clean, though my sheets had spots on them. As other reviewers point out, the location is really far from anything. It's not that it's too exhausting to make the walk, just a pain. You have to walk down a road, up some stair, around a lake, up more stairs. But more significant is how rude (some of the) employees are. First off, on my day of checkout, someone knocked on my door at 9:30 AM to remind me I had to check out that day. Checkout is not until 11. I realize that for some people 9:30 is not early, but for a lot of people who go to Koh Phi Phi to party, it is early. Also, I pre-paid the $3 for breakfast, which runs until 10am. I showed up with my ticket at 10:04 and they refused to serve me. I thought they were kidding at first but they were not. Are you kidding me??? 4 minutes????

Really nice that you get picked up from the boat, because the hotel is at not that easy to find the first time you go there.
we where surprised that the surroundings where that noise full late in the evening. Really loud music from others hotels until late after midnight.
