Awesome Location close to pier
A beautiful hotel within close proximity to the pier and restaurants

It was sooo nice relaxing by Cabana's awesome pool. A 10 metre walk to the beach for a swim or a long tail boat ride to a range of unspoilt beaches. Our room was very comfortable and a great view over the pool and the beach. We will stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Lots of great places to eat nearby

hotel is 3 minutes walk from the ferry pier.we had a nice size room overlooking the beach, which was kept clean. pool is one of the warmest i have been in, just like stepping into a warm bath.could have done with more beds around the pool though. access straight onto the beach, which is where most of the longtail boats are to take you to the other islands. sea is lovely and warm. 5 minutes walk to the main bars, restaurants and shops etc. good choice at breakfast, which is the usual self serve type.hotel is a bit pricey, but you are paying for the location and it is worth that bit extra. would definately stay here again and recommend it.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you want a massage do not use the hotel one, go to one outside,it is half the price.

nothing deluxe over deluxe room. no bedbugs though. completely worn out bath room.
pool very warm. pool floor seems to have algees, sun chairs falling apart. lousiest breakfast experienced in thailand.
rooms with view over datum bay seem preferable, but then again the noise of the beach discos echo in all the bay at night so might keep you from sleeping.

Great location
Close to the pier and has a private beach.
6.7
just a few minute walk from ton sai bay, the hotel look a bit old lack of modern style and facility if compare to the price but the room quite big and also has fantastic pool and view.
if you don't want to drag your big luggage that far this is the best place to stay, i reckon.
Restaurant Tip:
If you would like to go out at night, the Hotel a bit far from market and shops also the walking way quite dark.

We stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights at the end of our journey in Thailand. After the first night, we had some problems with the safe so we moved to another room facing Tonsai beach. The first room was average but the second one (no.1430) had carpet, the view was great and it was quiet at night. The furniture is old and the rooms are not properly cleaned but considering where you are, you won't spend too much time in the room :)
The breakfast was typical Thai - meaning not so many European dishes but plenty of rice and noodles! We were saved by the fresh omelette and the fruits. ...and don't get me started on the coffee...
Now the good parts.
The location is fantastic! Central, close to the pier and the shops but at a reasonable distance from the clubs and bars. Good for "silent nights"!
The pool is really big and it has a fantastic view of the Loh Dalum beach. Tip: in the morning, before having breakfast, put some towels on the beach lounges - they get occupied pretty fast!
The receptions are not smiling too much but they helped and assisted us every time we needed.
You can book some island trips from the lobby but you'd pay at least 10% less going to any normal tour operator outside the resort.
Phi Phi Don is absolutely great and this hotel gives you the appropriate conditions for enjoying everything this island has to offer.
Nightlife Tip:
Eat at Pum's restaurant, have a shisha&listen to live music at Carlito's and go to the clubs on the Loh Dalum beach for dancing and fire shows :)

location of the hotel is very nice, in front and back of the hotel is the beach. on the front is tonsai pier. the beach behind the hotel can be used for swimming. nightlife center can be reached by walking down the beach behind the hotel. they have a swimming pool with a great view. the room was pretty clean, but impressed as the old hotel. the bathroom was fairly clean but small.
Restaurant Tip:
try crab with curry powder at tonsai seafood.
it's very delicious

The outside looks amazing, inside is different
Great location, amazing beach.

The hotel is very beatiful, well designed, has an amazing beach, amazing pool and a great location - 5 minutes walk from the pier. Now, about the room itself: the water temparture was not changable - not matter what I did, it was constantly hot- not hotter or colder. The shower and bathroom itself is not well designed.Hotel towels are extremely old and faded. Some moisture in the ceiling was above our heads. Breakfast was horrible - both for variety and taste, and in comparison for other hotels and their price that I have booked in Thailand - this hotel was very expensive and the return was the worst of all hotels.

The most expensive and worst hotel on our trip
4.3
We only stayed one night at this hotel as a special treat for my partner and I during out time on Phi Phi and were sorely disappointed. The rooms are the main thing letting this hotel down - they smell of urine, the shower was cold, the bathroom wasn't entirely clean and the rooms need updating. I think the 4-star rating is very misleading. When we checked out I saw another guest on her honeymoon come out to reception in tears demanding a refund for many of the same reasons outlined above (including the urine smell). I honestly couldn't blame her - I'm glad I wasn't on my honeymoon. You can pay less for better on Phi Phi.

Disappointing rooms, breakfast and lack of sunbeds
Central location - right by the harbour, where the boats drop you off and not far from the action
4.3
We struggled to find accommodation on Phi Phi during peak season but thought the Cabana Hotel looked like a safe option. Compared to the other hotels we had stayed in for similar (if not cheaper) prices in other parts of Thailand, we did not feel that the Cabana Hotel matched up.
The rooms were quite small and old fashioned, the bathroom in particular was very dark and dingy and so we did not feel that level of comfort that we had elsewhere. The breakfast options were ok but we found that flies were frequently circling the fruit trays which put us off the healthier options.
We barely used the swimming pool during our stay as the sunbeds were all taken straight after breakfast although there is a beach behind the hotel which might cater for your needs.
There was also a lot of noise at night from a club based further down the beach which disturbed us and might be an issue for others, particularly those with small children.
Our advice if you intend to go to Phi Phi is to book early and perhaps try to go to one of the hotels based in the more remote parts of the island where you have a bit more space to create your own island paradise. We were a bit disappointed with how commercialised this part of Phi Phi is.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to Paradise Beach - well worth the trek along the unbeaten path for the side of Phi Phi you see in all the pictures with Thai fishing boats bobbing along the crystal blue sea shore.
The fire jugglers' show at Carlito's is well worth a visit - they keep going for as long as they can, even in lightning and thunderstorms!

Disappointing and over expensive
Proximity to the port and sunset beach
5.7
We booked this only a few days before we arrived so paid over the odds for the room. On arrival we were charged another $30 as we were told our booking was for only 1 person not 2. We were deaprting before breakfast the next day and the staff were unwilling to consider waiving the charge. Our room was small and the bathroom very dated, for the price we paid we got ripped off.
The pool was nice although the towels were average quality and they would charge you $10 if you didnt return them.
Location was ideally located for the port although on check out, despite it pouring with rain we were offered no assistance with our bags.
Overall we were unimpressed!!!
