beautiful settings, exclusive beach and excellent services
the food are really average, need a lcd tv
We stayed 4 nights at the resort and we love every minutes of it. There are two areas improvment are needed. 1) upgrade to a lcd tv, not 10 to 15 years old model tv. 2)The food are really average but at a premium price. Even the food served at the cafes at the village are so oridinary but twice the price when comparing the similar type of cafe or restaurant at Bagkok. But we guess they all know the guestes get nowhere to dine except the resort restaurants or village restaurants. Make sure you hire a longtail boat for 4 to 6 hours to explore the nearby islands and snorkelling. Money well spent.

Great pool, facilities, and restaurant.
A little bit far from the main action from Ton Sai, and you needed to catch a longtail boat to get to the main pier.
We stayed at the hillside pool villa, and really enjoyed the room. The staff were very hospitable, and the hotel restaurants were all great. Would definitely recommend if you're happy to be a little out of the action of Ton Sai, as it was a little bit of a hassle catching the long tail boat to and from the main pier (about 30 minutes each way).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It's cheaper to organise a long tail boat just outside of the hotel grounds, as are the massages and mini-mart!

Beautiful Pool and beach. Peaceful. Good size rooms and bathrooms.
Charge for absolutely everything. Costs of services, activities, food and beverages was high. Variety of food was limited and boring.
Beautiful peaceful resort in idyllic island setting. Enormous pool and clean beach. Seems best tailored for couples. No activities as such for children. Private boat transfer service is terrific, although expensive. Restaurants within the resort are limited and relatively expensive. There are cheaper, more traditional restaurants 200 metres past the mini marts behind the resort.
Travel tip : Guests would benefit from knowing that there are 6 restaurants 200 metres behind hotel past the mini marts offering variety at a reasonable price.

So peaceful, reasonably priced, and effortless stay. Loved it all!! Great food!!
Expensive boat transfer and airport pickup.
Well worth it overall. Truly the best of any resort I've stayed in anywhere in SE Asia. So lovely, quiet, great weather, huge pool, warm water, lovely food, great service, and just a fantastic experience!

- Wonderful staff
- Perfect location overlooking a relatively undeveloped stretch of beach
- Amazing pools
- Highly acclaimed restaurant on premises (serving you a delicious complimentary breakfast in the mornings)
- Everything you could think of was included in the stay... we were never nickled and dimed.
The reception staff took care of every single one of our needs. They delivered fresh cookies and exotic fruits to our room free of charge. Mom Tri's Kitchen had unbelievably great food and the prices were quite fair. The Beach Suite rooms blew us away and we could hardly leave our room the first day we were there we loved it so much. The bed was so big we couldn't use all of it no matter which direction we tried to lay in it.
Restaurant Tip : Eat dinner at Mom Tri's Kitchen at least one of the nights you stay here.

I liked that there were only bungalows. For being in such a secluded location, we thought the food options and prices were very reasonable. The bungalow was lovely.
I wished there was a bathtub in the lower bungalow categories. We were a little limited as far as planning a trip to town (Tonsai bay). The hotel only offers a boat trip from noon to 5 PM so you couldn't go for a longer or shorter amount of time.
We stayed in late November 2009 and loved this part of our Thailand vacation the best. The bungalow was lovely and the staff really pampered you. The staff was friendly and kept the resort clean. The pool was beautiful. It is a very quiet place; not at all a party spot. Stay here if you want to be away from all the hustle and bustle.
Shopping Tip : Go to the workers' store for all your snacks. Follow the path marked "employees only" near bungalow 329. Everything's about 1/4 the price of the resort store.

- Clean Bungalow
- Good service
We had to pay for First aid service while my wife had some stomach problems.
Food in the Buffet was sometimes cold and we had to ask for warm up
Phi Phi Island Village Resort was a marvelous experience. Welcome drink was great. Bungalow was clean but behind. On the second day we were moved to a better location. We recieved a nice bunch of flowers ater the reception new about the stomach problems of my wife. Checkin/out was so smooth. Very welcoming staff. Thai dances during dinner buffet were nice. In general we were so happy being there and would difenetely like to go back.
Travel tip : Maya bay is lovely for snorkling

Great location for a honeymoon or romantic get away. Resort staff was excellent, all spoke great English. The breakfast has a great variety of foods. The resort offered several excursions and activities. I would definitely come back here.
The only small complaint (and this was not a big deal at all) is the resort offered limited choices for dining. There were only two restaurants plus a bar at the resort area and unless you take a boat you are stuck with only those two plus bar food choices. Although the food was good (not great) after a few days we got a bit tired of the same places.

nice rustic bungalows with great balconies/patios
lots of hot water
great pool
good service
location is remote
food was disappointing
not a great beach
We booked a few nights at this resort not really knowing what to expect. The arrival is impressive as you come in via boat. There are quite a few bungalows but you don't feel there are a lot of people around. We found the food disappointing but what else would you really expect given the resort has a captive market. The resort was a little remote if you only have a few days to see the island. I highly recommend taking the resort boat instead of the public ferry. Phi Phi Island is a spot definitely worth staying a few nights more so than day tripping from Phuket or Krabi.
Travel tip : Rent your own private longboat and tailor your day rather than going on a package trip.

Secluded location with access to town by boat. very good food and amazing breakfast! Cottages were absolutely beautiful. Nice Beach but shallow water. Pool is great!
Food and drink were pretty expensive, if you take a walk behind the resort there are a couple of places to eat in a small village for a lot cheaper.
When arriving to Phi Phi I was stunned, the Island is Beautiful and the boat ride over was amazing! We did 3 weeks in Thailand, we originally planned to stay 1 night at Phi Phi Island Village before heading to Krabi. The hotel is only reachable by a 15 min long tail boat ride. As soon as we could see the Resort we were in shock, it was in the middle of no where and exactly what we were looking for, it was the most beautiful place we have ever seen! After arriving and seeing the place we decided to book 2 more night and it was the best decision we made! If you are a family, honeymooners ( as were were) or someone who wants to get away from it all this place is perfect. If you want night life and alot to do I would stay in Ton Sai but I would highly recommend this place and will be back in the future!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definitely visit the view points, its a climb but well worth the view. The one is Ton Sai is amazing!

great location, quiet, great beach...what you hope for from Thailand
This hotel had all that you would hope for in a high-end resort on a Thailand beach. The food was tasty, the service impeccable, and the entertainment was beyond exceptional. The infinity pool was gorgeous and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. I'm very excited to go back one day when I need more relaxation and comfort.
Nightlife Tip : definitely hit up the beach when the hotel band plays at night. Great entertainment for a quiet night on the beach.

Good location a beautiful beach
Very expensive! Everything is paid and expensive
Old hotel with to mutch people
Very expensive for a hold hotel! To have a near sea room they ask you to mutch money. The food is poor and expensive. Anything you want to do as to be booked inside the hotel, so very expensive.
The workers are very young, but with a poor service.
They try to arrange the pick ups to soon, just to get the room free...
Arrange the transfers to Puket or krabi by your self in any turistic agency in Puket or krabi. In the hotel they want to charge you the triple price
Don´t choose! The price is to mutch and the hotel is poor...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Arrange the transfers to Puket or krabi by your self in any turistic agency in Puket or krabi. In the hotel they want to charge you the triple price

Everything about this resort exceeded our expectations.
Absolutely nothing to criticise, except that the fabulous evening buffets encourage you to eat too much.
Our four nights at Phi Phi Island Village Resort were a delight. Our bungalow, immaculately clean, comfortably furnished and efficiently serviced, was situated towards the rear of the resort but still only a short walk along paved pathways through manicured gardens (we even saw a gardening lady knocking dead leaves from a frangipani tree with her rake handle before they had a chance to fall to the ground) to the beautiful wide, clean beach. Despite the overcast skies, the water was clear and blue (although only swimmable at high to mid tide).
The house reef is great for snorkelling, but it is around the point in both directions and it is advisable to hire a kayak, drift with the gentle current and paddle back.
The open air restaurant is right on the beach and the food, in the form of a themed buffet - seafood, Thai cuisine, Italian - different every night, is magnificent. Breakfast is equally expansive with veges, salads, traditional bacon and eggs, cereals and a dozen different types of breads for your toast. Don't miss the lime and papaya and the mango jams! And the huge selection of tropical fruits were amazing.
The attention to detail by the staff, from the cold towellettes at check-in to the delegation waving goodbye as we left their shores, and all of the polite, friendly and attentive service, and wide smiles every minute of our stay made us feel like staying forever.
Some special moments were provided with dinner by traditional Thai dancing in full costume and a remarkable display of juggling with wine bottles by the resident Bar Manager.
On request, the restaurant will set up a private table for a small group on the sand, complete, naturally, with a display of table decoration and candles befitting a royal guest.
We went to Phi Phi Island for an active holiday and found plenty to do while others chose to rest in the deck chairs on the beach. We spent most of time in the 29 degree water, swimming, snokelling and paddling. We also did some exploring.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : In the unlikely event that you may tire of the resort food, there is a tidy little village with a general store and a few eating places directly behind the resort. The food is cheap and apparently very nice. The massages are cheaper, too.

Best location, in the middle of the island. We can walk to the viewpoint either in the north or in the south. Very quiet and peaceful. Hotel staffs are very warm and friendly. The most unexpected thing is that the hotel made the birthday cake for my wife. And We happened to see the hotel held an big celebration for another older couple's birthday on the beach. We were really moved by the people there. I think that's why the older couple visited the hotel for 35 times.
The speed boat transfer by the hotel is expensive.
Best location, in the middle of the island. We can walk to the viewpoint either in the north or in the south. Very quiet and peaceful. Hotel staffs are very warm and friendly. A place worth staying for second or more times.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking on you own through the forest to the Tong Sai Bay is very exciting.
