Nice pool, Good resort for relaxation, Behind the resort, across a small bridge there is a guy named "Tuna" - He is an excellent cook & great all around guy, He helped us organize a speed boat, long tail, - Anything we needed at a fraction of the what the hotel charges. - He cooked us the best meal I have ever had in Thailand!

The hotel is isolated, You need a long tail boat to get anywhere, The diving, internet(!) food, massage and anything within the resort is expensive/overpriced, The food is acceptable, but nothing exciting, The small resturants behind the hotel, are much better (find a guy named Tuna! best cook on the island) The beach at the hotel is really shallow, you need to walk out along way before you can actually swim, when the tide goes out its even longer ~500m. (we used the pool most of the time.)

Overall its a good resort, good standards, nice pool, the grounds are well maintained The prices within the hotel are really high because the resort is isolated, Find the village behind the resort, they have better food at 1/2 the price. BRING MESQUITO SPRAY!!!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go behind the hotel to organize all your excursions & dinner, Great food and great value!

The private beach, the seclusion of the resort, the beautifully restored chalets, the staff, everything from the bathrobes to the coconut shampoo!

None whatsoever.

Warm greetings really make my day, so when we got there and were greeted by a line of friendly staff equipped with warm face towels and complimentary coconut drinks, we were already smitten. I had mentioned on my reservation email that we were there to celebrate our anniversary, and not only did the staff remember to wish us a happy anniversary, they took the extra initiative by decorating our bed with rose petals and leaves folded into the words HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. The service was incredible, the staff were helpful, the resort... just plain beautiful. An amazing stay that I would recommend to anyone looking for paradise.

Travel tip : Do inform the receptionist of your travel information as they will provide you with charter boats back to the pier for required ferry times. Note that the ferry only travels twice a day from Phi Phi island, so constant communication with the hotel staff of your itinerary is key.

view food and service very good

expencive. far from the center of KoPhiPhi.

a great hotel with a beutifull view. service is very good. treatments are very expencive but you can go the the village which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The rooms close to the sea are better rooms. It is a good hotel for couples who are looking for peace and quite. No activities in the hotel.

Restaurant Tip : You can eat at the village outside the hotel. It cost 1/5 of the price of the hotel.

That was our second stay and we just loved it once again. It is just so peaceful, the rooms so clean and the most helpful staff you could ever find. We will come back for sure.

Restaurant Tip : Cheap and good restaurants in the small village behind the resorts.

Fabulous beach! Excellent service. good choice of restaurants fantastic breakfast buffet! gorgeous swimming pool!

Have to either reserve your own boat which is pricey or take the transfer from Ton Sai bay which adds a lot to the travel time. Drinks are expensive. Internet is pricey.

The hotel is just fantastic! Located on a gorgeous part of the island, its secluded, has a phenomenal beach, a stunning pool, the service is top notch. The Spa is excellent, and the hotel offers specials for the spa if you go in the morning which makes the cost of the treatments very reasonable. The internet is pricey! (Yes, i know, who needs the net while on vacation in paradise but we needed to check in for our flights etc) Drinks are kind of pricey, there is no happy hour. Alternatively, the breakfast spread is just excellent ranging from Thai food to a western spread. The rooms are nothing to harp about, they are just ok (we had a deluxe) but im sure the villas would probably blow you away but then again we barely spent any time in our room anyways. All in all it was a fabulous trip. Would return here in a heart beat!

Restaurant Tip : Take the path to the rec center and keep on walking for an additional 2 or 3 minutes and you will hit a whole bunch of restaurants/massage places. Prices are more reasonable although in the summer months there's also a ton of mosquitoes. Take the path in the opposite direction (behind the pool) and you will find a minimart where you can get alcohol for really cheap!

*Secluded area *Service was great *Little village near by with great restaurants *Bungalows were clean with beautiful gardens * Beach stunning

*Very dimly lit - could barely see where you were walking at night *Cost 400 Baht return each time you wanted to go to Phi Phi Island shopping with only one drop off at 12pm and pick up at 5pm therefore you cant stay there for dinner unless u want to pay 800 Baht for the one way trip privately. * Expensive to eat on island, if you didnt know about the village nearby ( which they dont advertise) then ur stuck with the resort restaurants *Nothing to do in the evening

The resort is lovely, the beach is crystal clear, great if you want a quiet secluded location... if you want something with more of a night life or activities then best to go somewhere on or closer to the main island, its expensive and inconvenient to get to the Island from here( 400 Baht return with 12pm drop off $ 5pm pick up). There is a village on the resort, we had dinner at a restaurant called Leema which was great food and really cheap but the resort does not advertise it si\o if u dont ask u wont know ( its around the corner from the recreation hall). Its expensive to always eat and drink at the resort and the place is so dimly lit ( im assuming for insects) that its hard sometimes to walk back to the bungalow ( which are great and gardens beautful)

Restaurant Tip : try Leema restaurant at the village next door ( round corner from recreation hall) and also the Monkey Bar which was under construction when we went but have only heard great things about it!!

Beautiful beach, helpful staff, good food (a la carte), no kids

Dinner "world" buffet & James Bond Island tour

The resort has a nice long stretch of sandy beach - ideal for long walks and relaxing in water (water most of the time is not deep enough). The place has a quiet and relaxing feel. Avoid "world" buffet for dinner - poor selection; go with a la carte menu - it's cheaper and food is good. Avoid James Bond island tour, nothing worth seeing. A trip to Koh Phi Phi lay island is worth seeing, the resort has speed & long-tail boats that you can rent. Villas are clean and pleasant, not all of them are super luxurious, so if you are going for luxury and pampering feel go for the luxurious ones.

We can not figure out why this resort is not 5 Star. We stayed in several 5 stars resorts in the Thai Islands and this was by far the most impressive. I recommend upgrading to the Junior Beachfront. The view is incredible. The rooms are gorgeous with no detail unforgotten, the staff is very friendly and helpful and all that we spoke with speak great English, the pool is unbelievable and the Spa is wonderful. The main restaraunt is on the beach with the water 5 feet from you. There is a 5 piece band that is excellent that walks around to each table and the food is excellent and changes nightly. I highly recommend this hotel! We can not wait to go back!

Hotel Feature Tip : Book the Junior Beachfront Suite!!

-Our private bungalow -Confortable and private -Pristine beach

-Cost-plus extras

We stayed at Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort for about 1 week just at the start of low season (end April/beginning of May) We got a great rate on the basic bungalow for about 100 USD/night. However, the buntalow was not basic at all.....it was quite luxurious with our own balcony, very comfortable bed, full mini bar, free water, and great decor. We do understand that extras at this resort should be pricy because of its remote location....however the cost-plus goes a bit far...for example, even borrowing tennis rackets costs 400baht (about $12usd) The other thing that could improve is the restaurant service in the evening (non buffet a-la-carte) Other than those 2 issues, this is a great resort.

Hotel Feature Tip : You can occasionally see monkeys near bungalow 211

Clean++; great buffet breakfast; accomodating and friendly staff; comfortable bed; very quiet; no beach vendors and beach very clean; Yoga included (3 times per week); the occasional entertainment from local monkeys.

Extra cost for tennis racket rental - should be included; A bit isolated if you are looking for 'downtown' Phi Phi nightlife (which we weren't) - last water taxi from 'downtown' Phi Phi to resort is around 6 pm; Buffet each night fairly costly but great selection - a la carte more reasonable but found service slow at times. Would have liked the pool open later (closes at 7 pm).

Only planned to stay for 3 nights but ended up at the resort a week. Had a '300' cabin - not a beach view but walk to beach & pool only about 125 metres. Each cabin has it's own little 'property' with lovely shrubbery. Resort grounds are beautiful. The beach is private and gorgeous...clean, no debris. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Travel tip : Bamboo and Mosquito Island 1/2 day snorkelling trips worthwhile. You can either do the excursion through the resort or walk around into the little village by the recreation kiosk and 'rent your own long boat' which is less expensive (need to rent the snorkelling equipment from the hotel first). Our long tail boat driver spoke english well and went out of his way to find great snokelling for us. Didn't get to Monkey Island as the winds were too high but would have liked to visit. We did walk into Phi Phi town from the resort over the hill - only took about an hour but the trek home was a bit dicey in the dark with head lamps....an adventure in itself.

My husband and I had originally only planned to stay here for two days. As soon as we saw the beautiful location, we extended our stay for two more days. There are beautiful flower arrangements all over the resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bungalows were very cute and clean. The resort is not in the main part of Phi Phi and requires a second boat ride, but we didn't mind because it was quiet and relaxing. The restaurant had a good selection and nice free breakfast. This resort is paradise!
