Secluded location with access to town by boat. very good food and amazing breakfast! Cottages were absolutely beautiful. Nice Beach but shallow water. Pool is great!

Food and drink were pretty expensive, if you take a walk behind the resort there are a couple of places to eat in a small village for a lot cheaper.

When arriving to Phi Phi I was stunned, the Island is Beautiful and the boat ride over was amazing! We did 3 weeks in Thailand, we originally planned to stay 1 night at Phi Phi Island Village before heading to Krabi. The hotel is only reachable by a 15 min long tail boat ride. As soon as we could see the Resort we were in shock, it was in the middle of no where and exactly what we were looking for, it was the most beautiful place we have ever seen! After arriving and seeing the place we decided to book 2 more night and it was the best decision we made! If you are a family, honeymooners ( as were were) or someone who wants to get away from it all this place is perfect. If you want night life and alot to do I would stay in Ton Sai but I would highly recommend this place and will be back in the future!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definitely visit the view points, its a climb but well worth the view. The one is Ton Sai is amazing!

great location, quiet, great beach...what you hope for from Thailand

nothing!

This hotel had all that you would hope for in a high-end resort on a Thailand beach. The food was tasty, the service impeccable, and the entertainment was beyond exceptional. The infinity pool was gorgeous and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. I'm very excited to go back one day when I need more relaxation and comfort.

Nightlife Tip : definitely hit up the beach when the hotel band plays at night. Great entertainment for a quiet night on the beach.

Good location a beautiful beach

Very expensive! Everything is paid and expensive Old hotel with to mutch people

Very expensive for a hold hotel! To have a near sea room they ask you to mutch money. The food is poor and expensive. Anything you want to do as to be booked inside the hotel, so very expensive. The workers are very young, but with a poor service. They try to arrange the pick ups to soon, just to get the room free... Arrange the transfers to Puket or krabi by your self in any turistic agency in Puket or krabi. In the hotel they want to charge you the triple price Don´t choose! The price is to mutch and the hotel is poor...

Everything about this resort exceeded our expectations.

Absolutely nothing to criticise, except that the fabulous evening buffets encourage you to eat too much.

Our four nights at Phi Phi Island Village Resort were a delight. Our bungalow, immaculately clean, comfortably furnished and efficiently serviced, was situated towards the rear of the resort but still only a short walk along paved pathways through manicured gardens (we even saw a gardening lady knocking dead leaves from a frangipani tree with her rake handle before they had a chance to fall to the ground) to the beautiful wide, clean beach. Despite the overcast skies, the water was clear and blue (although only swimmable at high to mid tide). The house reef is great for snorkelling, but it is around the point in both directions and it is advisable to hire a kayak, drift with the gentle current and paddle back. The open air restaurant is right on the beach and the food, in the form of a themed buffet - seafood, Thai cuisine, Italian - different every night, is magnificent. Breakfast is equally expansive with veges, salads, traditional bacon and eggs, cereals and a dozen different types of breads for your toast. Don't miss the lime and papaya and the mango jams! And the huge selection of tropical fruits were amazing. The attention to detail by the staff, from the cold towellettes at check-in to the delegation waving goodbye as we left their shores, and all of the polite, friendly and attentive service, and wide smiles every minute of our stay made us feel like staying forever. Some special moments were provided with dinner by traditional Thai dancing in full costume and a remarkable display of juggling with wine bottles by the resident Bar Manager. On request, the restaurant will set up a private table for a small group on the sand, complete, naturally, with a display of table decoration and candles befitting a royal guest. We went to Phi Phi Island for an active holiday and found plenty to do while others chose to rest in the deck chairs on the beach. We spent most of time in the 29 degree water, swimming, snokelling and paddling. We also did some exploring.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : In the unlikely event that you may tire of the resort food, there is a tidy little village with a general store and a few eating places directly behind the resort. The food is cheap and apparently very nice. The massages are cheaper, too.

Best location, in the middle of the island. We can walk to the viewpoint either in the north or in the south. Very quiet and peaceful. Hotel staffs are very warm and friendly. The most unexpected thing is that the hotel made the birthday cake for my wife. And We happened to see the hotel held an big celebration for another older couple's birthday on the beach. We were really moved by the people there. I think that's why the older couple visited the hotel for 35 times.

The speed boat transfer by the hotel is expensive.

Best location, in the middle of the island. We can walk to the viewpoint either in the north or in the south. Very quiet and peaceful. Hotel staffs are very warm and friendly. A place worth staying for second or more times.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking on you own through the forest to the Tong Sai Bay is very exciting.

this hotel is amazing! it is very isolated and private so you can really relax and enjoy yourself, its expensive and worth it!

expensive relatively, it is isolated and they know it and takes advantage of it...

great breakfast, amazing massage - they offered us a discount for the first 2 days from our arrival and it was well worth it. the trip the hotel offers to Maya bay is very very good although it's expensive. behind the recreation room you can find few bungalows of the locals - offering chip food, massage and mini market.

Restaurant Tip : we bought some food and drinks before coming to the hotel so we didn't have to buy it all from them and it was well worth it.

Luxury bungalows in gorgeous gardens. Didn't expect to have satelite t.v. in remote location. Pool is amazing.

It appears that not many people use the massage/spa offrered by the resort. Costs 1500BHT for a massage which is ridulous.

This resort was beautiful. Luxury bungalows with unexpected extras - flowers and fruit on arrival, cable tv with dvd player and lovely surrounding tropical gardens. The pool was also a stand out feature. Staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. I would definitely recommend this resort if you want peace and beauty. The beach was also beautiful but unfortunately we had windy, overcast weather. The beach was the main reason we chose this resort over others on phi phi island because we are a family that like to snorkel however we were unable to do this. I'm not sure if the snorkelling would have been that good in better weather anyway - i didn't see any reef at low tide. I loved our stay there but I think the extra burden of getting there is not worth it. I would probably stay at Tonsai bay next time where the main peir is. There is more action and shopping for our teenage daughters and the beach (on the other side of the pier) looks just as beautiful. Also once at the resort the price of food, ect is steep. They offered us transport to our next destination at price '4 times' the public ferry rate.

Restaurant Tip : Go to the village just outside the resort for minimart, massage and great food. It's half the price.

The place is fantastic. Beach, resort, pool, accommodation, all great.

Needs to increase the choice in dining as only the Thai restaurant and the main restaurant were open when we were there.

We extended our stay from 3 nights to 6 nights because the resort is so great for a relaxing break. The resort I would say is mainly for couples but there were some kids at the resort but not many (thank goodness). On ariving in the afternoon the water was at low tide and did not give any indication of how beautiful the beach was when the tide came in. The water almost reached our beach front junior suite accommodation (a little pricey but worth it, if you book on Agoda). By the way, Agoda were sensational. Used Agoda for the two weeks in Asia and cannot fault their service. Highly recommend Agoda and Phi Phi Island Resort.

Hotel Feature Tip : Check out the local dining at the back of Phi Phi Island Village Resort.

Lovely beach, ideal position on Phi Phi. Beuatifully laid out resort. Accommodation is great in the natural sense.

None really. Being really picky, the staff could start working around the resort a little later as noise at 7.30-8am in the morning, when your on holiday, is not cool. The resort need s additional dining choices.

From the minute you approach Phi Phi Island Resort you can feel the serenity. The resort is very well laid out and situated on a beautiful white beach. Staff are caring and very helpful. Activities are great. A wonderful holiday experience. Our accommodation was in a beach front junior suite, which was fantastic. Rustic accommodation but so suitable to the resort style of life. We higly recommend this resort.

Travel tip : Check out the back of the resort for greater local choces in dining.

The property is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could imagine. Its also very isolated, so makes for a great get-away. The pool is fantastic.

The cabana was just ok for the money. Also, because it is so isolated, you have to use all the resort services and restaurants, which made our stay quite expensive.

Our stay here turned out to be a great get-away. Its a half hour boat trip from the main part of the island and its not easy to get over there. We were happy we stayed here, it was very relaxing, but the cost added up when you had to eat at their restaurants and use all their services. If you stay here, take that into account when budgeting.

Picture-perfect setting, the best swimming pool I've ever seen, beautiful and peaceful private bungalows.

Isolated location is very peaceful, but things wrap up pretty quickly. The pool closes just before dinner and the pool bar shuts down even if people are sitting there enjoying it. Also, the hotel has you captive so they charge outrageous (by Thai standards) prices for food and drink. The food we had for about 1/5th of the price near the island's main pier was every bit as good or better than the resort. Remnants of dead coral in the bay in front of the hotel make it hard to walk through the water and makes it appear the the resort (or whoever owned it before them) blew away a coral reef to open up the harbor for development. Sad.

This is a tropical paradise and we were very impressed with nearly everything about this place. When you first arrive, it takes your breath away. The setting truly is a picture of paradise. It is isolated and peaceful. The isolation does come with a price where the island holds you hostage. If you want any different or less expensive food or drink, they hotel makes up the difference by overcharging you for a longboat ride to and from the main pier where the action is. It's pretty sleepy at night, so don't go here looking for nightlife. This is strictly a couples and family place. Even if you are a couple, I would recommend staying here for a few nights and then getting at least one night near the main pier to experience a little more activity on the island. Everything is wonderful here- just expensive. You won't find a more beautiful setting anywhere.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are going to use the hotel activity desk to see Maya Bay, rent a longboat instead of going on a large boat. It's much cheaper, you get your own private boat, and you can design an itinerary that makes the stops you want, including multiple snorkel stops along the way.

Perfect location + Beautiful hotel + Great food = Paradise

Nothing - Every morning I woke up with a smile

It was an amazing relaxing vacation, at the end we didn't want to go back anymore. The staff is really carrying and help in any situation. The location is simply the best where I have been so far. Some people complain about the food prices, but I think its ridiculous to complain about the food prices if you can effort to pay such a hotel. If you want to save money you can stay in Patong beach. The prices are all reasonable for such a resort. We are planning already our 2nd and 3rd trip.

Nightlife Tip : Within 2 min walking distance are local restaurants, which offer real local food. Also, there are very cheap massage places. It is behind the recreation club.

stunning setting, well-appointed huts, caring, friendly and discreet staff, close to 3 or 4 cheaper places to eat, safety at the resort

restaurants a little pricey, happy hour only 10% off drinks, birds a bother during breakfast,

Had 5 days on Phi Phi at the Island resort and spa. felt like 2 weeks - very relaxing...little rain on last day while phuket had a week of monsoons...relaxing pace...lots to choose from to eat; little restaurants 5 minutes walk away are so cheap and tasty, but wouldn't pass restaurant food safe inspection; 3rd row from ocean and didn' mind that as the huts are so well appointed; took advantage of massage deal that you have to 'act on' in the first 24 hours; definitely worth it - approx 50 US dollars for one hour massage which is a steal at a resort; others I talked to said the same; some took the $15 dollar one hour massages 5 minute walk away and they were also very happy with their massages. pool is great and the setting is tropical; the boat to boat to boat transfer was easy; book this place before getting on the main ferry in Phuket as it makes it so easy when you give your name; they put stickers on you and they look for you in the boat when its your time to transfer to the next boat; relaxing although I can see why some take the speedboat; why hurry?

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : this is a tip on what not to do...don't bother with the 45 minute walk up to the view point...everything is overgrown and there are no vistas...
