The Stay was OK but it took a bit to understand Asian service for a westerner. Seems you always have to ask to get your check, nobody will comeback and check on you if you need anything. It was a bit hard to take at first but turns out that is just the way it is all over Thailand. Those that did help were very friendly and helpful it was just hard to get someones attention.
The Room is fantastic, However, since its not insulated in anyway it was pretty hard for the little air-conditioner to do its job. One day and night was extremely hot. They really need to clean up the grounds around the rooms, less junk and hide the wires.

We booked a superior room as we didn't want to carry our children up the hill each time we went back to our room and they certainly didn't show pictures of the dark brown huts lower down the slope. Tiny rooms with rock hard beds and pillows like dead bodies, ridiculously small bathroom with leaking toilet, broken tiles, cracked mirror, small old tv with only one English speaking channel out of all the cable tv channels. The hotel pool was small and had scuba training in it for half the day. All up very disappointed with the hotel and facilities. The food in the restaurant was good and the cocktails great. The staff were also very friendly.

Two nights stay on paradise island
The view is to die for - stayed in a brand new large and beautifully furnished apartment high on the mountain overlooking Ko Phi Ley. The standard of the accommodation was excellent !!

Faultless - we had a wonderful stay, thank you! Probably not suitable for people with walking difficulties since the apartments are sited on a steep hill.The staff were very helpful and a buggy service was available.

Nice beach resort hotel with own bungalow

We stayed two nights. Getting here from the mainland was long (2 hr packed ferry, plus 10 min long boat ride). When you get off the ferry you pay a 20 baht fee for entering Phi Phi Island. Then by the pier, look for a guy in orange holding up a sign that says Phi Phi Beach Resort.
We got a superior room which had a great view of the ocean, but there were ants crawling all around from the bathroom which can't be helped. You have to keep the bathroom door closed to prevent the cold air from the AC from escaping and misquotes from coming in at night. Our arrival was great. They checked us in really fast and gave us each a glass of ice cold orange juice while we checked in. Then they drove us up to our bungalow in a Tuk Tuk. The AC worked fine when we got there, but kept dying after we cam back from dinner. We complained three times and they still didn't have it fixed, so they upgraded us for free to a bigger room and bath, but the internet didn't work, which was fine since the AC was glorious.
I would recommend the long boat tour (2 people + guide). You get to go to all the islands and snorkel at each location (caution, the currents are stronger, so life jacket and fins recommended and included along with snorkel mask). Although, you don’t get the tour info, you can spend as long as you want at each location, depending on what tour you buy. We got the full 6 hr tour, which was great. Bring water. Also kayaked here which was fun. The coconuts are great too! The free breakfast was awesome and was international buffet style Thai/Western English/American. Dinner at the resort was the most we paid in Thailand, but worth it. Massage was great too and well worth the 400/500 baht for 1 hr.
