Great natural resort with own private beach
Quiet Location at the end of Long Beach.

The beach resort and staff were very friendly and efficient. The superior villa offered great value for money with airconditioning which is a big plus. The breakfast buffet is very generous and it's own private beach is a little bit of paradise located far from the noisy ton sai bay area. It's a longish walk from the resort to ton sai bay village area but 100baht long tail boat will shuttle you there with ease. The hotel arranged free of charge, a boat shuttle on arrival and departure, great service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Shark island is 100m directly in front of the resort and the snorkelling is great straight out in front off the beach. The well known Phi Phi Viewpoint hike is easily accessable from the resort, just ask and follow easy maps and signs.

the highlight of our trip. the most beautiful of location, basic rooms, but looking over paradise more than makes up for it. staff also very friendly. please note it's a 40 min walk or longtail boat trip into main village (costs baht pp on the boat each way) but the seclusion is well worth it.

Great Location - Gorgeous View
Gorgeous View for Phi Phi Ley from Bungalow and resort on the beach

Great location, gorgeous view and seems to be in all bungalows and the resort has access directly to the beach. It's far from Tonsai (where all the bars, banks and shopping are) and you can walk in the day but do not recommend walk at night as you have to walk down a steep hill and there is no light very and dangerous as there no man made steps or railings. You can only get a long boat if you go into Tonsai at night and need to get one back. They charge 100 baht per person or 150 per person after dark. Location is great if you want to get away from the large party crowd although at peak season it probably is also a party atmosphere as they have a beach bar and apparently it's targeted for party goers in peak season. Pool is small, hotel staff are very friendly less can be said about management. No free wifi and can't access wifi from bungalows. They were renovating while we were there and cutting trees down early in the morning that actually fell onto our bungalow. Food was reasonable. As the bungalows are in the mountain there are creepy crawlies that include snakes, we saw brown and black one, which the hotel staff told was very dangerous. The reef 50 metres from beach front has blackpointers shark and best to see before 9am or around 6-7pm. Only other downfall rooms were dusty and overtime they cleaned my room I found dead insects on my bed when I returned back to the room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ask the boys at the bar to organise a long boat for a day trip, we paid 500 baht each for 5 hour tour around Phi Phi Ley - Maya beach. The Thai guy with long hair and an english accent that has a long boat is great, he is always at the bar. We used him and he is very knowledgable about the area.

Stunning Views

gorgeous views, bungalow had a great balcony. rooms were okay size but tv did not work and could not get wifi in room. shower is outside of bungalow there for mosquitoes are definite (bring repellent), there was a whole in a bungalow wall and black droppings (probably a mouse) one afternoon. couldn't order room service at breakfast time and had to wait until after 11:15am to order room service and tv had no reception. but did i say the view is amazing! the beach is fantastic and the staff are friendly and helpful not so much for management. downside is if you are keen to go out to tonsai every night, you need to get a long boat, recommend not walking it at night as it is dangerous, hike wise in the dark. there is a bar on the beach until mid night, they have a fire show every night. you can hear the music in the bungalows and they do play it loud until mid night.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Swim 50 metres from the beach before 9am or after 6pm and see black pointer sharks in the reef

Best hotel on our Thailand trip

this was the best hotel that we stayed at on our recent trip to thailand. the rooms are clean, comfortable and the view to die for! bar and restaurant prices are more than reasonable, much cheaper than phuket and bangkok. my only regret is that we stayed in phuket for 4 days, i wish we rather spent that time extending our stay at the beach resort on phi phi. we took a walk all along the beach to town (60 min walk) on the saturday and saw some of the other accommodation options along the way, based on this i give this establishment 15/10 as i truly believe it’s the best accommodation on that side of the island (never saw the other side)

Very comfortable basic beach bungalows

Make sure you arrange for the hotel to collect you from the pier! You can hire a long tail boat to take you to the hotel for only 100 baht but they will often claim that their are "big waves" and will drop you off part of the way. This happened to us and we had to carry our suitcases along the sand. We were lucky we weren't dropped off sooner or we would have had to walk through the jungle. The best and worst thing about this hotel was the location. Being at the end of long beach the only way to get to/from the village was to take a boat or walk roughly 15-20 mins along the beach and through the jungle. Take a torch if you'll be coming back in the dark! This was great though because the beach was nice and quiet and private. The hotel had a bar right on the beach and there was a fire show every night. Rooms were basic but quite comfortable although expect a bit of a walk up the hill to get to them. The staff were really nice and very helpful.
Shopping Tip:
There are plenty of stores on Phi Phi selling really nice one of dresses and things. This is really nice after the mass produced touristy things being sold in Phuket.

Not what it looks like

On check in, we were shown a dusty room with no view that was equivalent to a camping cabin. They then offered an upgrade to a better room for another 500 baht per night. The next room had a great view, but an outdoor shower! There was a giant spider in the shower and you could see daylight through the cracks in the bathroom floor. Later that night we killed another large spider under our bag which was not too much of a surprise seeing how the bathroom was not really sealed off from the surrounding jungle. There was a great view, but the room was not worth the relatively expensive price for that area. We checked out first thing the next morning, walked to town and got a better room with a better view and no bugs.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Agoda was helpful in getting us our money back. And the location makes it difficult to do anything that the town has to offer (i.e. other restaurants or tours).

Good location right on the beach

The hotel is right on the tip of the island in long beach so it's exposed to all the waves which was a nightmare when we was there because it was so windy the waves were huge, you have to get a long tail boat when you arrive off the ferry to the hotel which is ok but never do a day trip in a long tail boat. ALWAYS get a speedboat because safety is more important than money.
Recommend the hotel - food isnt the best but then again I've lived in Thailand for nearly 11months in the north so I have a different taste bud to south. Go for it if you want to stay there.
It's a 45minute walk along the shore and up some steps to the pier or you can get a boat taxi - long tail boat that takes 10mins- not advising get a boat but if you're feeling lazy go for it.
