Great location: more quiet than Ton Sai bay which is really touristic and noisy. But can still be reached in 5min by taxi boat. Very nice bungalows (the deluxe one are really incredible, but the superior villas are still nice if you have a lower budget).

Construction/renovation work on many bungalows... wakes you up really early... Hotel beach invaded by speed boats and tourists between 12am & 2pm with tour guides bringing their customers for lunch at the hotel restaurant...

I really loved the location & atmosphere of the Beach Resort (excellent location if you want the perfect mix of quietness & animation), the beach is amazing and you can go snorkling right there (colorful fish everywhere..) The beach bar is really nice at night with lovely animations (fire show). The accomadation are great (++++ for the Deluxe villas with sea view). The hotel restaurant is good (breakfast included / lunch buffet for 250 THB / Dinner A la Carte & Seafoof bbq)

I love Phi Phi. Guest Rating: 10

Great ppl. Good to party. Hotel was beautiful. Stunning views. Locals/ staff very nice and friendly. Best fire dancers at the Buddha Bar.

I had to leave.

Phi phi island is paradise. The people there are fantastic. And the beach resort is a great place to share in the beautys of the island.. Our room had stunning views of the phi phi don and phi phi lay, and even when it rained and was wndy it still was perfect.. The hotel is located on long beach which is a little hike from the main town known as the pier. Which for me i loved as at night and dawn you had the beach to your self to relax or have a drink or 2 at the buddha bar, they have nightly fire shows on the beach and the music was good.. Its only a 10 minute long boat ride into the pier and there not hard to come buy. Plus if your feeling healthy take the walk. All up i loved phi phi and i will be returning to the beach resort on long beach ..

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The tsunami evacuation route look out nearly killed me its a big hike for for the unfit.. But the views are worth it..

Private beach, good for snorkeling, amazing view.

Not easily accessible, hard to get to. Nothing to do at night. Shower room not so clean and problem with the drain.

I took the advice from a reviewer and paid little bite more for deluxe bungalows. The superior ones are smaller and located on the bottom of the hill where there is no view. The deluxe ones are only slightly more expensive but it’s night and day difference in decor and quality. What I did was, I booked superior bungalow on Agoda for two nights and when I got there I talked to the reception lady and asked her if I can upgrade to deluxe. At first, she quoted me 1400 baht extra per night, and then I asked her if she can give me a discount price. I paid 2000 baht for two nights instead of 2800 baht. I am sure you cannot do this during high season. The view from my deluxe bungalow was priceless. It was so amazingly beautiful. Every night, my girlfriend and I took long boat to Ton Sai Bay for dinner and nightlife. You can walk to town, but you would need a flashlight at night. The walk will take you about 30 minutes where else boat will take you 5 minutes at 100 baht per person. At night time, they charge you 150 baht per person. It's hard to find a long boat on Long Beach after seven, but coming back from the pier you can take long boat all throughout the night. We came back one night around 2am and had no problem finding a boat back to Long Beach.

Stayed in the delux room and loved every minute of it. We needed to relax and this place catered for all our needs. The setting is amazing on Long Beach. The most amazing views from the resort and beach.

A bit far from the town, and in bad weather you cant get the longtail boat. Could walk to town through jungle like paths. About 15 minutes. Fabulous adventure.

Absolutetly reccomend this resort for a wonderful holiday in paradise. It has beautiful rooms and waking evry morning to the amazing views was unbelievebale. Loved everything about Phi Phi The beach Resort. The Buddah Bar on the beach was loads of fun and very vriendly. Loved having cocktails at sundowner time. This is the place if you want to relax and just marvel at the beauty around you.

Nightlife Tip : Take a torch with you if you go to the main town for a great night. The boats dont run very late, and the walk back requires a torch.

nice cozy like chalet type cottages with everything you need. it wasn't very busy

not too much to do at night other than the fire shows (which my kids enjoyed immensely). Actually not too much to do on the resort other than the pool and the beach but not too far from Phi Phi town where all the action was.

I stayed with my husband and 2 young children at Phi Phi Beach Resort for 4 nights. We had a great time. We were there beginning of October and the weather was pretty good. It would rain heavy at times but then the dark cloud would move past us. We managed to do a lot of siteseeing while there. My boys really enjoyed the night time fire show. I was nervous about music coming from the bar at night because I had read it in other reviews but it wasn't a problem for us at all. If you want a relaxed place to stay then this is the place, but if you want to be in the middle of it all then stay in Phi Phi town.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We all (including our 2 young boys) enjoyed taking the long boat tour to Monkey Island, The Viking Caves etc... We brought the kids life jackets and I recommend that if you have small children to bring your own, some of the boats don't necessarily have enough life jackets for its passengers.

The views from the deluxe bungalows are as spectacular as promised! They have windows all around so they have a lot of light! The bathrooms are larger, cleaner and more modern than the superior bungalows. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful! There is a tuk tuk to bring you up to your room and there is also a truck that can bring you back and drop you off 10 minutes by foot to Tong Sai Pier, and there is staff that will wheel your bags for you. The beach is amazing! There is snorkeling a mere 10 minute longtail boat ride away, or you can walk over the mountain through the forest and you'll end up at Moo Dee Bay, which has a lovely beach, and very calm water. You can rent snorkeling equipment there as well.Shark Point is about 120 meters in front of the hotel. The water was rough in front of the hotel, but just on the other side everything was smooth and lovely! The prices for food are higher than some of the other places, but I thought the breakfast was adaquate. They take your order for eggs, and there is a fairly good selection of food.

One piece of advice I would offer immiediately is to take the deluxe bungalows. The superior ones are cramped, dark and have terrible bathrooms. Since they're located lower than the deluxe ones, there is no view. The deluxe ones are only slightly more expensive but are worlds away in terms of decor and quality. Unfortunately the bars and restaurants on this part of the island closed around 9:30-10:00. I'm not really a party animal, so this was OK, but could be disappoiting to some. This may have been because it was low season. The "satellite cable" had only 12 channels and we couldn't watch F1. There is a TV near one of the bars that has satellite, but you have to "reserve" it if you want to watch something specific. Unfortunately it was unhooked when we arrived to watch F1, and it took the staff forever to get it up and running (but the important thing was that EVERYONE was helping!). The shower rooms in the deluxe bungalows are open. This made for a rather chilly shower upon our arrival (it was rainy) and a couple of days later there was a good sized lizard that we had to get rid of because it couldn't climb the walls! I'm not sure if the truck can pick people up, which means you may have no choice but to take a longtail boat to the hotel. Dress accordingly; you're going to get wet!

There is a longtail boat driver named Quinn who you can call through the Buddha Bar staff. He is very friendly, a great driver, and is organized! We took 2 trips to Moo Dee Bay and Runtree Bay with him, and he had snorkel equipment ready for us! He's willing to go out for only 2 hours at 800 baht, everyone else insisted we had to take 3 hours for 1200 baht. During high season this may not be the case, but try and tell him he got recommended online, I think he'd be tickled pink!

Travel tip : Shark Point is only 100- 120 meter in front of the hotel. The hotel is located literally around the corner from the much calmer side of the island, so you're close to smooth sailing! This is a great place to stay during the low season when the seas are rough since you do not have to go far to snorkeling and there are scuba schools on the island as well.

overpriced!!

overpriced and disappointing. Got there with high expectations based on the high price but the interior of the bungalow was old and the furniture and floors looked very ''used''. breakfast was not so good either. Location, clean sheets and air con are a plus but still overpriced!! just along the beach there is another resort (paradise pearl) with brand new bungalows for half price.

Room. View. Comfort. Beach. Private patio. Views. Staff.

Beach bar (not part of hotel).

Great rooms with lots of windows in amazing "hill jungle" setting with private patios. Comfy beds with extra soft sheets. Spectacular views of the sea and of Phi Phi Leh. Beautiful beach (long beach). Super friendly staff. However, there is a bar on the beach (which is not owned by the hotel) which did play loud music till very very late in the night. It kept us up one of the nights. Unlike the superior rooms, which are great, the rest of the hotel is a little run down, but very good overall. Just don't expect a perfectly groomed 5 star hotel. This is probably the best hotel in the mid/upper range on the island. Everything else we saw (especially in the "town" or on Loh Dalam bay looked awful and NOT on the beach. You can't go wrong with The Beach resort.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : MUST go to Koh Phi Phi Leh (Maya Bay and Blue Lagood) and Bamboo Island. It's a "sin" to go to Koh Phi Phi and not go to Phi Phi Leh

Property is located right in front of the Long Beach, Taxi Boat is near, friendly staff

Hotel rooms are not well maintained, need refurbishment

Was disappointed with the interior of the property, exterior is superb though. Room was worn out, water was not working well from sink, toilet bowl and shower area. Location is perfect, wonderful white beach with excellent privacy. Nothing fancy about the property, great for relaxation. Reasonably priced for hotel room. Good massage at 300 Bath about a 5 minute walk from the property.

friendly helpful staff and excellent food

Need to get taxi boat to it from Phi Phi town which might not get up onto beach if waves are up

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. Our accomodation was excellent, a good size bungalow on a hill overlooking the beach with fantastic view across to Phi Phi Ley. The room had everything you would expect including air con fridge with well stocked mini bar, prices were very reasonable. Although it was a steep walk to our bungalow this was not a problem as the hotel provided a tuc tuc service on request. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food which was served in an open air restaurant overlooking the beach was very good. Breakfast which was included in the price was also very good. The only problem we had was it can be difficult to get to and from the hotel as it is at the very end of Long Beach and a taxi boat ride to Phi Phi Town. Unfortunately if the weather is windy and the waves are up the boats cannot get up on to the beach and this means a walk either further along the beach or if you ar really unlucky with the weather you may have a steep difficult climb to the next beach to get a boat.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take one of the boat trips to Phi Phi Ley the snorkelling and visit to Maya Beach are well worth it, but be prepared to swim from the boat to the Island.

friendly staff - quick to respond to an issue we had with our safe really amazing view from our cabin - clean and nice interior. I thought great value

travel back and forwards to Phi Phi town

if you would like an isolated resort with beautiful view on a really nice beach - this is the place. Being so far from PhiPhi town meant we had to get a longboat back and forwards @ 300 baht each way. also in the evenings our driver would only drop us off at the beach before our resort so we had to trek 10 min up a muddy path thru bush to get back to the cabin

everything in this hotel is fine! good view from the room. restful.

nope.

Overall this is a very good hotel, i love the concept of restful and privacy! A group of 10pax, we had a very unforgettable experience in this hotel (or may be i should say in Phi Phi Island). We read the reviews, we thought we can enjoy the drinking session in the hotel bar (since there has very load music, from others reviews), but we found that there was just a few people around the bar. We decided go to the town then by taxi boat, 100baht/pax. We had our dinner and drinks until 8pm plus, (because I remember the taxi boat is work until 9pm, from the reviews). Few taxi drivers in the pier want 150baht/pax, because they said "big wave!" We just walked around to get another who can give cheaper ( we thought it still early, 8.30pm)! Then, we met A helpful massage woman, she called to get a taxi boat, but nobody dare to take us, because of "big wave!" She told us better walk back. Oh, No! We were so tired! Finally we got 1taxi. 100baht/pax closed the deal! Beginning, the wave was ok. In the half way,the taxi driver ask us to pay first, we just do so! Slowly, we felt that the waves was become bigger and bigger (we really get shocked)! In my mind, should we continue this journey, it is very terrify! And then, the driver said "we cant go, big wave!" Then how? He U-turn and then drop us in the beach and ask us walk back to the hotel (30mins walk, slippery pathway after rain, stepping stone, without torchlight). From this experience, we learn "big wave is means "big" wave, can't means can't!! We paid, but we had to walk too! But Thank to god, we are still alive!!!! I think the maintenance of the pathway (more like jungle trekking actually) is necessary for emergency, such as more street lamp...

The location with a "semi-private" beach. Amazing view from the bungalow. Great snorkling reef within swimming distance from the beach.

Too loud music from the bar at night. Pool is not as large as portrayed on the website. Restaurant staff needs training in how to serve and wait on people properly (the exception is the French restaurant manager who is really great).

We chose Phi Phi Beach Resort since we wanted to have a more privated secluded holiday away from "mainstream" Phi Phi. We also decided to get the Sea View Deluxe Chalet due to the recommendations on Agoda. Both of these choices were great. The resort is away from the chaos of the main Phi Phi area and it is very relaxing. The Sea View villas are really great - all are private with amazing views of the bay. Everything can be organized through the resort however we did find it difficult to get a taxi boat to go to main Phi Phi in the evening - which makes you have to stay in the resort. The seafood barbecue was excellent - especially the large tiger prawns. Overall the standard of the resort is good, although some areas of the staff need more training in how to serve people, they at least try their best to make you happy and welcome. We will definitely stay at the resort again when we come to Phi Phi next time.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You don't need to go far for excellent snorkling. Just 100 meters of the beach from the resort is a reef that is perfect for a nice 1 hour snorkling session.

Clean Rooms. Great views. Food was good, especially diner and sea food.

Pool is a little small

The place is truly beautiful, the view we had from the bungalow were tremendous. There was even a great view in the shower. Good food served at the restaurant. This is a calmer part of the island, taxi boat takes 10m to bring you to town

Restaurant Tip : Try the crab prepared the thai way with curry
