Relaxing but far away

Location next to the ocean, very quiet surroundings, far from the noisy nightlife
6.3
Not for party, far from everything in the island, except for a very quiet beach. Transport to the busy part of the island is provided and efficient, so no problem. Great option if you want to relax in the beach without anyone else bothering. Avoidt trying to get there after dark, since private taxi boats are extremely expensive (700 baht).

Friendliest Stay

The best things experienced was the ambiance and the staff.

We only had the chance to stay one night, the rooms are not that great, lack of cleanliness but you can forget about all those negative facts when you meet the staff... in only one night you become part of a family which is worth a lot. The staff are the friendliest people i have met so far in Thailand. The location is perfect, the only way to get there is by boat. Private beach, if you want to be cut form the world this is the best place to be. To have a good's night sleep better have several drinks before.

Not good

Beach, snorkeling, location
4.3
The beach here is lovely, great for snorkeling, but the accommodations are limited. Runtee Beach has three places to stay. One is quite expensive, the middle, we don't know. Runtee Sunrise wasn't good for us. Toilet had no seat. Room was run down. Only has power from 6 pm-6am. Only two power outlets, one for fan, one for light. Must choose which you want if you want to charge something.

Relaxed atmosphere on a beautiful beach

Great beach, away from main party area, owner, well-kept beach
8.7
We were picked up at the pier. Momo waited with a sign and the ride with the boat to rantee bay took about 20 minutes. The beach is on the east side of phi phi and it is shared by three hotels which is nice because it's not crowded. The entite atmosphere is very relaxed, there are hammocks and swings, you can use kayaks.. There are a few bars with music at night and good food e.g fresh fish. We had a bungalow with fan in the first row right at the beach, there was enough space for our stuff, but it's basic. (We knew that before of course) Maybe two points to consider: the blanket we had for 2 persons was tiny little, it never covered both of us. And there is no wifi, which is generally not a problem but bad if you want to plan your next stop of your trip.
Travel tip: Bring enough mosquito spray, they come out in the late afternoon and are pretty agressive...

beautiful beach and clean

beautiful beach and clean. People friendly

beautiful beach and clean. People friendly, smile but look like someone don't want to service something like tour or go out to tonsai food is good room is ok fair with this price but it will better if you clean room while I'm staying. No change the bedspread. No change the towels. Room filled with sand. agoda detail said that easy to go out for shopping at tonsai bay. Yes easy by taxi boat and have cost!! hard to walk because so far from tonsai and bad roads

We just loved it!!!

Quiet, lovely beach. good food.

We just stayed 3 nights. Bungalow very basic, but what a way to relax! Do not expect modern. Just like an escape capsule from civilization. Cold water shower, though not too cold. No fridge or kettle in room, but restaurant only a half minute walk. Water very clean for swimming, and just a few steps from the balcony... We could've stayed much much longer. So if you want a real relax, this is the place.
Hotel Feature Tip: Be sure to advise the hotel of your time of arrival at the wharf They will do boat transfer to hotel for free . We paid get transfer to nearby hotel after 4 hour wait. Then a 1 km walk in dark over wet rocks to reach hotel.

nice location

nice beach, but have not many restaurants
5.3
beautifull location but far from the main beach, where u have all the bars and restaurants, If u want to go to the main beach u have to pay for a longtailboat 500 bath. too much, for a only 20 min. journey.

Never again ...bad service but with the smile

nice lamps setting on the beach

We have stayed for 3 nights in bamboo bungalow .its very basic.mattress is about 100 years old ..the electricity is supply only over night from 18pm till 8 am. Water in the bathroom run only occasionally. if you want to take shower, you need to bend down to get same water pressure. The beach is nice.very private .only 3 restaurant ....so if u want to pop to town u need to pay 150 b each way pp. By long tale boat .we have bought from the resort day trip to bamboo island. for 700b all day .9-17.00 but at 13.00 the driver said he will take us on the main beach of bamboo island and there for we need to give him extra 200b as the entrance fee...but when we spouse to go suddenly he has taken us back home so the trip was 4 hours shorter .after complaining in the resort to the management we got answer"what u gonna do about it then " over all..i feel they are bit arrogant ...i had to shower in the other resort on the beach where was some water .food.ok.small portions
Hotel Feature Tip: Stay in main part ...much better

Good place to be just yourself

Few people, nice beach, cheap
7.3
It was really good. The room is very basic, no hot shower, electricity only at night, but very comfortable beds. Rantee has a very nice beach, but the water could be a little dirty. If you would like to skip parties and people, go to Sunrise Hotel. You can walk to Tonsai from Rantee (50-60 minutes, not easy walking), they have taxi boat to Tonsai (150/person), if you go by boat from Tonsai alone, it's 600 baht, very pricy.

qiuet place on kho phiphi

If you ever wanted to stay in an old bambus hut you are right here.
4.3
we were searching for a stay in koh phiphi away from the big partys and found it. the only thing we didn't like was: the longtailboatdrivers of the hotel hang around the beach the whole day - they sit in the hammocks, the only place to stay if you wanna relax at the beach, or they repaired their boats with much pollution and gave us a feeling of disturbing them... the rooms are very easy, we even could not use the "shower" in the "nature-bathroom", because the garden hose was too short....so all in all: the hotel was cheap, but still little too expensive for what we found.
Travel tip: I would only go there, ifyou have ever dreamed of sleeping in a Bambus hut at the sea.
