Please kindly note that all resorts located at Khao Laem Ya Mu Koh Samet National Park are subjected to admission fee. The selling rates at Agoda.com ARE INCLUSIVE of Admission Fee. Thai People are charged 40 Baht per person per stay. Foreigners are charged 200 Baht per person per stay. Speed Boat Transfer
The compulsory speed-boat transfer schedule is as follows:
From Seree Banphe Pier to Resort : 11:00 , 13:30 and 16:00
From Resort to Seree Banphe Pier : 10:00 , 12:30 and 15:00
Guests who miss the scheduled transfers can arrange for a private speed boat as an alternative transfer for an additional charge. Guests will have to pay directly to the resort upon check-in. Please be informed that guests are not permitted to choose 31 December 2012 as their departure date when booking this resort during the peak season. Children and extra beds:- Guests over 3 years old are considered as adults.

- From Resort (Koh Samet): 10.00 AM, 12.30 PM and 3.00 PM

Please note that the compulsory speedboat transfer (roundtrip) is already included in any bookings from now. It's a customer's responsibility to show up on time . Le Vimarn is a beautiful resort with a great beach location. The rooms are luxurious, kept well and perfectly clean. The Spa Cottages have awe inspiring sea views with fantastic sunsets in the evening. The villa terrace (could be) perfect for a private sunset viewing or even a quiet and private sun tanning and chill out session but, unfortunately as beautiful as the terraces are they are not furnished for lounging. There are no sunbeds and no shade, which seems like a pretty major thing to miss out at a seaside resort. Especially, when they have invested in the view and plunge pools on the terrace! Nevertheless, I dragged an armchair from the room out there and it was perfect for reading a book in the evenings. It was just too hot to sit there in the day time with no shade.
There are no beach front rooms that directly open onto the beach, like many other places have. They do have garden villas that face the beach but they don’t have sunbeds etc either on their terraces.
However, Le Vimarn do have their own sunbeds on the beach reserved for guests only, which is great. No issues with getting a bed on any of the 5 days I was there.
The food at the resort is ok. It’s presented well but the flavours lacked the Thai authenticity. It is also extremely expensive. Drinks and ice etc are charged for at a premium. I took advice of one of the other reviewers here and brought my own beers and snacks……great idea!
I also had issues with getting to the resort. The Le Vimarn website does not list boat times, piers or even have a contact number.
