Nestled in the corner of the beautiful island of Koh Semet, the 3-star Mooban Talay Resort, has its own private beach that stretches for 150 and is naturally protected from monsoons all year round. Intentionally small, only 24 luxury bungalows occupy this resort to ensure guest privacy and an air of exclusivity. The bungalows are contemporary Thai-style in an artistic design, giving the resort a village feel. All the major facilities are included, like swimming pool, poolside bar, sports and recreation center, and a restaurant offering international cuisine. Mooban Talay Resort Hotel is a great place to stay if you want to have a relaxing stay. Particularly if you have children, the hotel is perfect. It is no cars around the hotel area and no other people than those that stay at the hotel. There where less things to do around the hotel in the evenings, but you could walk or take a taxi to the beach area with bars and restaurants. In my view it seemed like the best place to stay in Koh Samet.
Nice rooms.
Nice food.
Great beach.
Relaxing.
Mosquitos in the night.

You have to call the hotel one day in advance to book the transit boat from nuanthip pier in rayong.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Spa and restaurant are musts, especially their thai massage done right outside the pool.
