very secluded, at the end of the island. Quiet. If you like 'simple' this is the place, there are two beaches, a sand one and a snorkeling one.

Very Secluded. the speed boat can be expensive unless you have a few people. There is no other food, but the hotel food was fine.

We were a bit surprised as to how "Simple" it was. I guess it's a real beach cottage. No phone, few amenities, (like a hotel guide book) which in a sense gives it a casual feel. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, food was good, and because of simple'ness (no internet) you really were forced to scale down, which I suppose is the object of a 'get away'. cottages are nicely placed, small, but again, adequate.

Travel tip : You can walk up the dirt road and have a very expensive drink at the very expensive hotel. I would bring some snacks the next time just to get you from meal to meal.

Location is right on the beach, courteous helpful staff

Access to main part of Island limited and quite expensive

Arrived on the Island after being picked up by speedboat, (not for the easily scared) i really enjoyed the journey, 3 couples aged from 30 to 72 on the boat and no complaints from anybody, on arrival greeted really warmly by the staff. The room was comfortable (beach hut) with bed wardrobe and bathroom, rooms location was about 30ft from the beach and was a wonderful, quiet location.I was there with my wife as part of my honeymoon, and wanted a quiet location but due to the location, if its a little bit of night life your after then it will cost about 1000 baht to get to the main part of the island where the bars are. All in all a beautiful peaceful location which i would visit again.

Nightlife Tip : If your after any sort of nightlife this is not the place to go

The rooms were clean and well laid out

The beach was pretty poor as per other reviews. You really need some foot protection for swimming as not sandy surface. The pool is a plunge pool but good for kids and lolling around. The web site said web but you hook up your lap top for 100thb an hour.

The hotel is in a lovely spot at the end of Koh Samet overlooking 2 bays. One you land in and can snorkel from the other is a beach. There is a rocky cliff splitting the 2 which you can wander up n down. The hotel have put lots of swings, hammocks and other seating around under the trees and on the beach. Staff were helpful. You can get a taxi to the main village, 6 km on un made up roads, but go just before sunset and the driver stops at a great view of it. The village is well worth it one of the nicest ones i have been to in Thailand. We ate at Ploys which has a great beach location and a fire show every night, for free. The food was good value and excellent. All in all a lovely venue for a quiet couple of days.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the cab to town near sundown and see the sunset from the top of one of the hills en route, that made my trip.

Very private and silent resort

Very far from the big boat pier. You need to consider taking the speed boat to get to it.

This resort is at the very far end of Koh Samet opposite to the main pier and you need to consider taking the speed boat to get to it. This will save you about 1 hour by a pick up truck transportation in a very bumpy road. This add a considerable cost to your staying if you do not share the speed boat with many people and you should consider to go to some more expensive hotels where this kind of transportation is already included in the room rate. A part from this inconvenience the rest is ok: clean and new room, very silent and good food.

- location - quietness - kind staff

- food selection - as this is remote from main pier it's expensive (in the means of the transportation - comparing to thai prices) to get in and out the place

As we travelled with little baby girl (2 years), we were looking for quiet and nice place to stay at Koh Samet. That was exactly what Nim Ma No Ra Dee Hotel turned out to be. We have had a great time there, however some additional services for families with children could be provided (baby cot was not available, no specifically designed place to play etc.). The location of the hotel is absolutely beutifull.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go North the island (only 150 meters from the hotel), there is a great view point with beautiful panorama.

This resort is on the tip of the island and away from the main pier, so it was very quiet and much cleaner than some of the other resorts on the island. The staff was very helpful and there was always an English speaker available. The cottage was clean and very comfortable.

The biggest con was if the tide was out the small beach at the resort disappeared and swimming was not possible. This only seemed to happen in the morning for a few hours and since there are many other beaches available nearby it wasn't really that big of a proble for me.

This small resort at the tip of Koh Samet, is really lovely. It is nesteled in a little cove with lots of trees and a small private beach. This is a perfect place for people who want relaxation and for families with young children. I stayed in a ocean view cottage and it was small but comfortable for 1-2 adults. It had a/c, cable tv, and hot water at all times. The staff was excellent and could arrange day trips and transportation for guests easily. The restaurant had a big selection of Thai food and a good selection of western food, too. Everything I tried was delicious, especially the Pad Thai. I would recommend this resort for most people, except maybe people who want to party alot. I'd stay closer to the pier if that is your goal.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The staff can arrange day trips, but if you want a bigger selection check out the tour agents near the pier they have a bigger selection and can get you a better price.

Locaton, the weather, Rooms and wonderful breakfasts. The people to help us were also great. I have no complaints concerning out stay at the resort

The price for fishing was I thought a bit too high.

The location of the resort was great. We also went to the national park and it was breath taking to the eyes. We had wonderful accomadations during out stay and every one was truly helpful. Any thing we needed they helped up obtain it. The weather was great not so hot and not so cold eather.the food was wonderful. I enjoyed every thing we ordered and i must say some times i had no idea what it was until i got it. We plan to make another trip to the same resort soon.

Hotel Feature Tip : When going and returning to the docks use the power boat. We used the charter boat and then the taxi trucks. The power boat was much cheaper and much much fast to each resort.

Great views.

Air did not work. Electricity was on then off for 2 days, and the weather was perfect.

This hotel needs major help. When we arrived by boat we were put into a canoe and brought ashore. Sounds nice put it was not. We were very wet from this little ride. The hotel is 20 min. from any signs of life. The roads to town were horrible. The food they offered for breakfast was free. We should been payed to eat this stuff. The pool was the size of a large bath tub. The beach was rock city. This hotel got nice reviews and I can not understand why.

Large Bungalows, beautiful beach and resort. Very quiet and Secluded

Far from the village up north

This place is very beautiful, and can be recomended. The staff is nice and helful, the menu and food in the restaurant is very good. Bungalows are very spacious and clean. The distance from the village up north is also a blessing, because it makes this place very secluded and quiet. A very good hottel if you want privacy and space in idyllic sorroundings with good food, an not spend all your savings to get it.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a 4wd quad! its expensive, but worth it!

Atmosphere, friendly and professional staff.

The beach is not as good as on the beaches a bit north, too many stones.

We had a really great week at the resort. Our children four and five years old adapted very quickly in the wonderful atmosphere, with a great help from the friendly and professional staff. We appreciated also the good food in the restaurant, the hammocks and the lack of commerce and sales people.

If you want peace, you'll find it there.

long distance to the others.

We were there for five nights and found it beautiful place, although the nature is so close of the rooms. Renting an ATV is an option to visit the beaches and restaurants at koh samet.

Cozy cottage in organized site with some swings and hammocks, friendly staff, yummy meals, easy access to sunset viewpoint and facing the beautiful ocean!

no easy access to other restaurants (but the meals there were great), only shower (not with bath tub), Rockey beach

I've been to Ko Samet more than 5 times, and this was the best experience ever there. Everything was great; cozy cottage on the beach, friendly staff and yummy meals. I was with my senior parents and one 5 ys old nephew and it was perfect resort for this occasion. If you wanna have parties, you may have other choice. but if you wanna have quiet one for escaping from city noise, this is the one.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : there is the best sunset viewpoint behind this resort.

Actually everything, the service, the environment, the food, the drinks, the sea, and the sunset.

The only bad thing I had to say is the location. It's a bit far from the port but it was worth it.

I really enjoy to stay at this hotel. The service was excellent. We booked the hotel for two nights, but because of the circumstances we needed to cancel one night. The staff was really helpful. They helped us to phone Agoda and explain and cancel one night without any question. The also offered taxi service. The environment was beautiful. You stay in a very nice "Bungalow" with all you needs. The sunset was also beautiful. You will love this hotel.

Hotel Feature Tip : Good place for relaxing.
