Very nice hotel next to Sai Kaew Beach

It took the whole day long for the hotel process of extension of our stay.
The local front desk was non-professional and kept postponing the appointment to get answer from the main office in Bangkok for the availability for us to extend our stay for another day. They refused our request for talking to the manager. We had to wait till 5.30 pm to know the availability and that was too late to take a boat back to the land.

this is a big, friendly resort located on a nice beach and an easy walk to the small town. there are many restaurants and bars very close by. the buffet breakfast was excellent with many types of food on offer. the drinks and food at the resort restaurants was expensive but there are many bars and restaurants within an easy walk if it is out of your budget. the bathrooms were huge and well equipped (no bath in our room) the only downside i could find was that in the ground floor rooms there wasn't any confortable seating on the veranda, just a platform to lay on.
Travel tip:
Head to Buddy's Bar, a 5 minute stroll down the beach for the fire dancing show most evenings from 8pm.

Very nice hotel, good food friendly service. Near to the beach. The restaurant looking over the beach to the sea.
Downside smell of drains when passing main entrance to the hotel would enroute to the Restaurent.

Located far end of Sai Kaew Beach....which gives you nice quiet environment

It would be great if you travel with many friends and families....just too big and many packaged tourists out there.
If you wish to be relaxed and quiet by your self, just go the other side of island.
This side is getting too commercial.

great environment to relax, room was pretty clean and nice, just too many mosquitoes keeping you awake at night wish we had some repellent at room. the complementary breakfast was pretty dull, almost same food every morning, but the foods from the menus was great! the improvement needed to be done would probably be some staffs at the working counter who pick up phone calls can probably sounds a little more polite and nice. overall was okay, probably the rate was a little overcharged for the delux room thou, it seems more like a 3 stars room hotel&services.

Good hotel the part close to the beach

making the reservation there was no way of telling where the room was located.
we had to change our room because we ended up at the far end of the hotels bungalows and the room was very far from the beach.
the rooms/bungalows at the far end is in now way nearly as nice as they are around the poolarea or beacharea.
when making a reservation it should be listed where the room is located just as it is when choosing a seat when checking in on a plane,that would have saved us from the truoble of changing room.
we had to pay a bit more wich i gladly did to stay in the better room and closer to the beach.

stay away from the rooms in the back its very far to the beach
