The staff is helpful and the breakfast is good with the beautiful sea view. I lived in deluxe cottage and it gave me a very good experience. The decoration of the room is good.

The entrance of resort is not good, the road is rough with many stones. The english level of staff is not good enough.

Overall the resort is quite good. The location is good. We can walk to the main street with just a few miniute. You can also rent the motorcycle and ATV to drive around the island. It's really nice. The beach is so beautiful. But there is so many mosquito in the island.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : When we check in, the staff can show us the map of samed island and let us have a general idea of what's in the island.

Location, nice breakfast, new pool

terrible beds, very slow draining shower

Overall the hotel was good. We stayed at a cottage which was charming but the bed was really really old and hard. I never have back aches but after sleeping on that bed I did. The breakfast was nice and the location of this hotel on the beach is also very nice.

Location, price (in rainy season) and beach.

Building works, service (ok but can be a bit shaky) and maintenance of rooms.

This is a good basic option on one of the livliest beaches in Samed. It's worth knowing that the resort is mid way through a major upgrade - they built a new superior wing last year which looks nice but is now close to the latest round of building works. Our tip is to stay in the deluxe cottages as near to Pineapple Beach as you can. The rooms are private and fine - a little basic and in need of some tlc but suited us for a beach weekend from Bangkok. Can't wait to see what the new Sai Kaew Beach Resort will be like once it's all complete but this won't be for some time....

Location, lovely gardens.

Expensive, poor communication skills of staff.

The location of the hotel is perfect for those who seek quiet and solitude. It's located at the farthest side of Sai Kaew Beach and is far from all the noise and partying at the main beach. The rooms are overpriced, have only the basic necessities and shower is but a drizzle most of the time. Telephone in the room does not work. Staff are not quick to respond to needs.

Good Location.

House Keeping. Prices Food and Drinks.

Have stayed here 3 times, and it gets worse, many times no towels, and takes ages to get them. Food and drink very expensive compared to others. Internet 3 times higher price then other Internet shops 2 minute walk away... Crazy.

Room was cozy and nice.

I would like to see more constructed entrance to Resort. Driveway to hotel is bumpy and not nice looking.

Nice beach in front. Relaxing room, would like to have bit of nice bath room facilities.

Lovely room with the big open air shower room. Clean and nice garden

long walk to the beach

Its lovely hotel, clean and cozy but it is too expensive for what it is. There is a nice pool and good fitness. the service is not really good especially the restaurant dept. there is a complimentary shuttle boat form Banpee to Samed island but we had to pay for the taxi to the hotel. Why don't just arrange it all free? Its just Baht 35!

Great location in the middle of a national park, and love the beach

One of the pools was a liitle to hot

Loved this resort and loved Koh Samet. I can't wait to go back and spend more time there. We were lucky enough to be upgraded due to the rooms being fully booked so it was our lucky day. Everything was in walking distance and the breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend this resort you will not regret it.

Should be better for the price Guest Rating: 5

Walking distance to the populated areas with many restaurants along the beach.

Resort is a bit run-down, construction visible in many places, refuse piled up in plain sight.

Our bathroom had an open-air ceiling with no screen so mosquitoes came into the bathroom, then into the bedroom, and there was no mosquito net for the bed. Our room had a bird living in the roof which had to be removed since it was making so much noise. We had to ask three times to have it removed. Laundry was supposed to be done by the afternoon since we turned it in before 10 AM, but it didn't arrive until next morning after "they had to search for it." Chain-lock on door was useless and was even missing a screw. Breakfast was as typical open-air buffet for this island but they did a decent job of protecting the food from all the flies. Overall, I'd say spend a little extra dough and stay at Le Vimarn Resort which is on the west shore.

Restaurant Tip : Don't eat at the hotels whenever possible. There are plenty of beach-side restaurants and other locations to get a good meal cheap. Apparently, there is a "logo" to indicate food cleanliness (you can spot this logo on the sign above the ticket window at the pier). However, they weren't to obvious to be easily found without further investigation.

Very relaxed, nice pool areas & beach areas. Rooms are basic but very nice & clean. Friendly staff.

Would be nice to have towels at beach and by pools although not having this does help the environment in terms of reducing laundry.

Restaurant Tip : Restaurant at the Ao Proa resort was very nice for a more romantic/upscale setting.

beach, rooms, restaurant, breakfast.

prices...

We spent a nice weekend at Sai Keaw Beach Resort... although at first, the staff seemed a bit 'relaxed' to take us to our room, finally they upgraded us to a Deluxe Villa (or something like that)... really a nice and comfortable room... the part of the beach were this resort is I think is the best of Sai Keaw Beach area, that although is the 'busiest beach' in Samet, this area is really quiet... what I didn't like at all were the prices... while a simple coconut is 30 baht buying it to a beach salesman, the resort gives you the very same coco for 155 baht!!! anyway, the weekend was great and we enjoyed the beach, the sea and the resort a lot!! will go back for sure! thanks, best regards, Carlos.

Hotel Feature Tip : the hotel has free ferry service from Ban Phe to Ko Samet... so check in advance the timetable so you can catch it...

Staff were very friendly. Food was of a high standard, especially the breakfast.

Resort is a little spread out. We couldn't keep mosquito's out of our room. Price's for water sport activities were a bit steep.

Resort is located on a nice section of the beach. The staff were great, only gripe being that as we were located in the far corner of the resort it took a little while for the room keeping staff to clean our room. I was a little disappointed with the price of hiring snorkelling equipment. 200baht for 1 hr is too much in my eye's.
