Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. For this promotion price, it is worth to stay here if you got only few days of holidays. Staffs are nice especially the night shift security staffs. They all are so helpful when u are parking. It is silence at night.
One thing I don't like is too much sales when we arrived, such as ATV car & Boat trips....we are not the first time to Koh Samet so we know cheaper price outside. We feel this is quiet annoying when continuing sale to you. Hillside seaview room cannot view much sea. Don't rent the hillside seaview room, I found the standard room is more convenience. The bed are too soft. After we wake up, feel painful of hands or legs sometimes.
You can find that hotel is quite private feel. There's not many people visit here because it is far away from Sai Kaew beach. It is peaceful and slience at night. Balcony of the room is big, clean and we love to stay there for drinking everynight. But the view is too bad (Tress are too many to block your view)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : From this hotel walk to downtown around 20-25 mins, it is recommended that you hire a motorcycle or ATV car outside, took the renter's tel & they can pick up their car at your hotel.

Right on the beach, excellent breakfast, hotel ferry, friendly staff.
Somewhat far from the nightlife. No internet access.
Samet Club resort is first and foremost a place for people in search of quiet and calm. The romantic couple, the old folks etc. For the young traveller, this hotel is a bit too quiet. Having said that, all the facilities are excellent, but the overall impression is that the hotel is somewhat over prized. Especially as if you want to go somewhere else, you need to spend and additional 400 baht on taxi back and forth.
Hotel Feature Tip : Free hotel ferry arrives 100 m from the hotel.

nice cosy environment to stay
location a bit further away from the main beach of the island
hotel was normal. clean and good place to stay. advisable to light up mosquito coil which can be bought just outside the hotel if staying in garden cottage room. will try staying outside at the seaview or poolside room as it looked great but perhaps more expensive than the garden cottage room. Had a great and relaxing stay there, staff was pretty helpful along the stay.
location a bit further from the main beach at koh samed, can rent a motorcycle from just outside the hotel for about 250/300 baht per day for convenience of going around the island. Overall a nice and cosy place to stay.
Travel tip : advisable to rent transport

Very quiet place if you don't get a room next to road or pool. Clean and good service. Nice breakfast was included. This hotel has it own free boat to transfer from mainland, however hotel transfer from/to Bankok airport is quite expensive. Pool is ok as well as the beach.
It's quite far away from center of island. Road conditions are not so good (average until public pier and horrible south of there). No internet. "Taxi" is quite expensive and Motorbikes not so safe because of bad road conditions.
Hotel Feature Tip : From Bangkok you could get to Ban Phe pier by public van for 200 baht (just be sure to get to the Samed Club pier). Hotel wants 1500 baht for airport transfer to Bangkok, but you could take a "taxi" to Koh Samet public pier (150 B), public boat to Ban Phe (50 B) and minibus to Bankok airport (500 B or less)

Clean, quiet, friendly, great pool
Average restaurant with high prices
Beach a bit small and "cut off"
Very friendly and well managed hotel with a true boutique feel. Though simple in scope and deco, thought and heart have been put into design and features.
One of the few resorts in its price range with a pool - and quite a nice one too.
Restaurant has a quite pricey a la carte menu with quality far below prices. Stay away from the Western food - especially the sandwiches.
Make sure to catch the Samed Resorts slow boat (should be included), which stops right by the hotel.
Located a bit "off" the more lively beaches, renting a motorbike for the entire stay is recommended. Especially since a return trip to the main beach by car costs around the same as the 24 h motorbike rental.

price is nice, rooms are clean and view is nice, with a small pool
the breakfast need to improve, the food is nothing special in the restaurant, to compare with other beaches on the island, the beach is small and too close to pier, the location is far from the market need walking around 30 mins to the market(main street on the island)
the food of the resort restaurant is really normal and the location of the resort is quite far away from the main street(most restaurant and shop are there), you need walking around 30 minutes to there, you may rent a motor cycle to solve the transportation problem, but it's cost you 300 baths per day!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : rent a motor cycle, it's cost only 300 baths per day, it give you a big hand!!!

Poor room service, not a nice looking place, average staff help, do not supply many things listed
I would highly recommend AGAINST anyone staying at this resort, even at the 50% discounted rate it was far too over priced. From what I have seen you are able to get twice the quality, service and all round standard at most other resorts at about 50% of the discounted rate being offered here. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL
Restaurant Tip : Eat somewhere else, for less than half the price you will get a meal twice as good

The hotel, pool and rooms are nice and simple.
The beach is right next to the Ferry Pier so it is not very nice for swimming. The restaurant was not good - the food was overpriced, poor quality and very small quantities. The bathroom also needed cleaning.
Overall the hotel was only ok. The rooms and pool were nice and simple. However, the location of the hotel - next to the pier, divided by the road, and far from the town - is not very good. The beach is not nice enough to swim in and the restaurant is also not worth eating at. Generally, the staff are friendly. Generally, for the price, I think there are better hotels at Koh Samet.

close to the beach, range of rooms
some rooms / cottages are nice...some not so much. need to rent a bike or take taxi to get to town(for eating, drinking or shopping)
this was the second time i have stayed here. the first time i had a cottage on the hill, very nice and new. the second time i stayed there i was in a cottage on the lower hill. not as nice. seems old and a bit run down. TV was old with lots of static, no table and the bathroom was much smaller. not a bad place, but fully depandant on what room you have.
food is ok, but nothing special.
staff are friendly and helpful

The facility was quiet, clean, staff were respectful and responsive, breakfast was included and was very nice for Europeaan, American and Asian tastes. Both the room and the restraunt provided excellent views of the sea.
No in room safe. Food and beverage service at poolside is expensive.
This was a pleasant hotel with attentive staff. The facility is located on the beach with hillside bungalos that provide an excellent view of the sea. The breakfast was more then adequate and provided enough variety that it should fit any taste. A complementary ferry service was provided to the mainland. The facilty is clean and the beer is served cold.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The speed boat tours are not for those faint of heart. The ocean waves make the speed boat trips unpleasant. Opt for a larger vessel
