Lovely Resort, Much Better than phuket

Great Location on Beach, had the Best Villa over looking Beach (T2), lots of building going on at the rear so avoide getting a room at the back for the next few months.
Breakfast was included but mostly asian style, maybe because its included not sure but disappointing because Lunch time & evening great and food amazing considering price.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Right on beach like Phuket with road & traffic to cross not to mention the smoke & fumes, this place is great.

Good position on nice beach

We stayed in one of the three thai house cottages in the front row (with seaview). Clean, beds not too hard. Perhaps 50-70 meters from the beach.
Ok breakfast (buffet) in a nice restaurant with seaview and plenty of tables.
The free WiFi did not work in our house, only in the area outside the reception including the restaurant and some of the beach chairs.
The hotel is incorrectly positioned on the map (I think it has moved), it is located next to (southwest of) Summerday Beach Resort.
Travel tip:
No need to take the speed boat fron Ban Phe. The "big" boat only takes 35 minutes and is much cheaper, 200 bath/person for a return ticket. At the arrival you take a 5 minutes "taxi" ride for 20 bath/person.
The price is 5000 bath for a speed boat (for all passengers).

we stayed at this hotel 3nights,staffs very friendly with kids, first we arrived the receiption as us to check room out because we booked garden view, they thought maybe small for us 2 adults and 2kids, after we checked room can moved 2single bed together so it ok, aircon too old need change and very hard bed, construction still go on but did not distube us as we spent time at the beach. very convenience near 7 eleven and local shops. we love massage at the beach front hotel, while we massage the staffs look after our kids. overall were good.

great location but garden rooms not high standard

Stayed at this hotel many times this was the first time in the Garden rooms no where near the standard of the thai house room, bht night is expensive for the standard.
will be very nice i am sure when the new rooms are completed excellent food & beach location staff very good.

Nice Cottage, Perfect Location, and Romantic

Second day on Koh Samet, moved into their Thai Cottage for one night. Having stayed in the superior garden room on the previous night, this was a HUGE upgrade and finally started to feel like a holiday resort. Nice sitting benches on the cottage deck facing the beach, comfy bed with Thai style drapings, wooden style toilet and seperate shower room. As we were very near the beach, the only downside was the loud music playing outside during the day - really loud! (Although we liked what they played.)
After checking out, we walked back to the pier instead of waiting for a Tuk Tuk - not as far as we thought, took us about 15 minutes only with a leisure pace.
Sadly, we also loved the two 7-11s nearby because they were just so conveniently there!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Easy to get to further parts of the island as it is only 2-3 minutes walk to Tuk Tuk waiting area.

Superior Garden Room

First night on Koh Samet.
The hotel location was top notch, with a short back alley way to the Tuk Tuk waiting area, so it was easy to reach other parts of the island as well as Sai Kaew Beach.
We booked superior garden room for one night. Simple room, a bit far from the beach. probably paying a premium for staying over Christmas period, so it was OK but not great. Shouldn't be a problem if you want to spend most of your time on the beach.
Very helpful staffs.
Restaurant Tip:
Breakfast selection was limited. And as with any beach hotel, beware of ants and flies going over your food, especially sweet ones like watermelon and pineapples.

the bathroom is so lousy and no hot water on our second night. we have to wait for the maintenance for 30 minutes while exhausted. I even did not want to touch the Faucet.
we needed to walk through the trail for any reception help as there is no phone on the room.
The facility is very low standard like a motel and it overrated which made us feel cheated. The staff on the front desk has a long face. The construction is under going in the garden. bad breakfast too.
the only better part I can remember is the sand. however, any people can access.
We never been such a worst hotel before but it is part of trip, and part of life.

It is good by expensive and rooms are small first we booked superior garden view. They worst have room in the building very much back side of the resort and in the third floor.Immediately asked to change the room.But they forced us to take villa (which was very expensive).So other way we taken that villa.Villa rooms also very small but view was good.

Can't emphasize enough how much the construction impacts this place. They keep going until 9:00 at night, and then all around during the day it's dirty and noisy. Maybe it will be okay once the construction is done? But while its going on I wouldn't stay there again. We were booked for 3 nights and only stayed one. They also failed to mention that there was a festival going on and that at 5:30 in the morning music would be blaring and sleep would be impossible. Between being kept awake until after 9 and being woken up at 5:30 we were done. The beach was an odd conglomerate of foreigners. Food was okay. Seems like more of a party place than anything. Rooms were small. Very small. We were in the garden tower thing. Maybe the cabins were better. Wouldn't go back or recommend it until the construction is complete.
