OK for a "backpacker experience" yet its not price

The room was a "family" bungalow. Two double beds crammed into a small bungalow. The room was not very clean upon arrival and had a mosquito problem. We bought insecticide at the local mini mart and sprayed nightly to kill them. The bathroom fixtures are old and falling apart. The furniture is well worn (particularly bad are the beds). The bed covers, stained. It's not a terrible place, but it is overpriced considering how worn the fixtures are. The restaurant out front is ok, but expensive (they will give a 10% discount to those staying at the hotel. But there are better choices on the bay.

The worst room I have ever stayed in.

The room overlooked areas on all sides where rubbish remained for the 5 days of our stay. The bathroom stank and we had a frog, cockroaches The staff were generally pleasant but had no training or management and service was terrible. I would not advise anyone to stay in this place. The beach was lovely, but the whole area behind the beach was full of rubbish and building materials.
I have plenty of photos in evidence of this shocking place.

Basic hotel right on the beach

This hotel is right on the beach, though I guess that depends on which room you have. The family room in which I stayed is very big, with 3 double beds. The accommodation is very basic, but it has all that you need. If you are expecting to spend most of your time on the beach, then you could do worse than stay here. If you are looking for a room with a bit of glamour, then you might be disappointed with this hotel.
In all, a good place for a group of mates to stay in, but definitely not a hotel for a romantic getaway.

polite and helpful staff - 10% discount on meals if you dine at the restaurant. family room had 3 beds: a double, king and single - could easily sleep 6. basic but clean. cheaper end of the market but good value for money. nice garden surroundings and very short walk down path to beach.
Travel tip:
View the fire jugglers at the restaurant at night.
