Very nice villas close to main pier.

Very nice small villas with balcony view over the sea.
The location was good as it's only 5 minutes walk from the main pier. Good for dumping heavy baggage and getting into the hotel fast.
The only downside for some is it's a 1km walk to the other side of the island where the main beaches and restaurants/ nightlife are.
But for us not a problem as we enjoyed staying here on the quiet side of the island then taking the pleasant 15 minutes walk to the beaches/ main area of the island.
The is a nice small seaside bar serving excellent food.
A nice place to stay - If we go to Koh Samet for sure we will book here again.

Close to the pier
quick, budget, and layback

I choose this villa because of it's close location to the pier, just 3 minutes' walk away! A must for those with an early plane to catch in Bangkok. Also saves the hassle of having to hail a cab. The room was basic, but clean and inexpensive.

Nice rooms with ocean view and not far from beach

Very nice place, 5 or 10 min walk from Nandan piear. Its not that close to the main beach as many other hotels, but instead you will have a quiet night and very nice ocean view from the room to a fair amount of money. Staff was friendly and room was nice. Alot of lizards around outside and even in our bathroom, but I guess one have to live with that in Thailand. Wifi was also working nicely, and we had hot water in our shower.

Had a great time, right near port so you can watch all the boats arrive and depart,but not noisy, 5 min walk to the main beach, room very clean and tidy,the only negative was, the bed was as hard as the tiled floor, apart from that very nice...as for food better value for money down main road

Basic small hotel,individual bungalows.
Location, very handy to main jetty, quiet small rooms, very basic restauant. 7/11 (chioce of two) located 4 mins away.

Main disappointment was the "Italian" restaurant, food was poor.In fairness they did not charge for one meal sent back without question.We had the remaining meals in town, about a 5 min walk away. The rooms were clean, but the bed is harder than rock!! I doubt we would stay again, but for price and location it would suit young people. The shower pressure was good, but you have to ask for water/soap/toilet paper that most hotels supply each day.
