Good location, clear water, quiet.

Food is so so, too expensive

We have honeymoon here, since we contact the reception to upgrade. We got very good experience from them. Nice service, good hospitality from their staff, clear sea water. We had a good time there excepted the food is quite not dilicious and too expensive.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : private beach with clear water.

Spectacular location right on the water. The sunsets are marvelous and the fish literally come to greet you when you walk into the water at Jansom Bay.

The food is really not good at all. Go into town and get much better food at better prices. Not really a "boutique" hotel, quite rustic.

This hotel is more rustic than you might think looking at the pictures. It's an interesting concept: each room is actually a set of three different huts together with an outside sitting room. You are right on the water so the views are fantastic. Jansom Bay is really beautiful; when I dove in with my mask, I felt like I was in a Disney movie, so many colorful fish and coral. Amazing! On the down side, the food is terrible and expensive and there are many critters (lizards, mosquitoes, etc). I literally saw a five foot long lizard (like a gila monster)crawl out from the cliff under my room and slip into the ocean (a real National Geographic moment, but I think it had been chomping on the roof of my hut that morning). The hotel is within walking distance to the town where the boat comes in so there is an escape if you need it.

Restaurant Tip : I thought Whitening restaurant on the beach in town was very pleasant and a better value than the hotel.

Location. View. Great service. Baldaquin bed. Bathroom. Radio cd (no TV but who needs it??) Spa service. Room well equiped. Small privat beach.

Restaurant. 2nd beach hard to find and far. Small climb from restaurant/beach to room.

My mom and I had the Panorama room (#60); we loved it! Beautiful and very comfortable. Very charming! But we don't recommend to eat at the restaurant for supper. It's the same menu as the restaurant next to the beach. It's ok for lunch but not for a romantic treat in couple.

Travel tip : Scuba Junction for diving lesson.

Beautiful location, excellent service

Mediocre hot-water for showers.

Charm Churee was a perfect place to start our honeymoon. The service was excellent. It was a beautiful location, and the panorama room was private and romantic. The private beach made a big difference, was clean and there were always beach chairs available. The restaurants were ok and overpriced, but Charm Churee is close enough to town to be able to eat at restaurants there. Koh Tao is not full of high-end restaurants or other luxuries available on e.g. Koh Samui, and so it did provide a quiet, peaceful, beautiful location. Keep in mind it's a 2+ hour ferry ride from Koh Samui, which in windy conditions can be unpleasant.

location, style, snorkelling point

you have to walk walk walk a lot in hotel so not for older or whoever has leg problem

Variety rooms to choose. (I really like my 35D superior which located right on the beach) Clean & Unique decoration. Tranquil but still in walking distance from tourist main area (Mae-Had & Sai-ree) The service is OK. Pleasant view from restaurant (you can see NangYuan Island) Although the sand is not that soft, the water is very clear. If you love snorkeling, this is a place for you. There are a lot to see. Just dive to the left hand side rock. We spend most of our time in the sea. I saw some squids and octopus too. Snorkel equipment are free of charge.

Hotel Feature Tip : the superior type "on the beach" is 35D(best), 8 and 23 so request it when booking

Quiet stunning location, dinner setting by the sea, jungle/island feel of the place.

Breakfast is a little disappointing.

Stayed here 3 nights and I wish it had been 2 weeks! All of the bungalows and huts are decorated in island/jungle simplicity but it is all so appropriate for where you are. The location is amazing, with incredible views of the sea and the view at the dinner restaurant is so perfect that we ate there all three nights instead of venturing out into town. This place is pricier than others but it is the location that cannot be beat. There are a lot of stairs to climb- this was a great adventure for us but if you are bothered by stairs this would not be a good place for you.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Make sure you take a long tail boat ride across to Koh Nangyuan- just ask at the front desk and they will set it up for you. Private and cheap!

Fulfilled one of our travel dreams! Guest Rating: 8.3

The market (around the pier) is a ten-minute walk from the hotel. Because food at the hotel restaurant is not satisfactory, eating out in a restaurant in the market is a better choice.

Just loved to walk ten minutes into town. Pick up with a boat or taxi is possible any time.

Travel tip : A pick up with a boat from your own beach and a trip around the whole island with a two-hour stop at the smallest island, Nang Yuhan, relaxing at white powder/sand beaches, is a must.
