beautyfull place, two nince beaches, nice viewpoint from the beach restaurant, clean rooms, wildlife

some bugs on the balkon, but is the part of the wild rainforest

800 m from island center, in a wild rainforest you find here more than you can imagine comfort, clean rooms, with hot water, and aircondition, nice private beaches, where you can not use finns, so living koralls. Super resaturand at the beachfront, with relaxing music.

Travel tip : use loundry in the center, they use the same but you pay 1/10 for the same.

Helpful and attentive staff; nice location; quiet and secluded; nice, private beach with great snorkeling and free use of masks and fins.

Construction at the hotel- we went during off-season;

We (parents and 2 teenagers) very much enjoyed our stay at Charm Churee Villa. It is an easy walk to "town" and to other restaurants, "shops" and scuba training places. The staff was very pleasant and helpful with all of our inquiries. The rooms are private, spacious, with good air conditioning and (needed) mosquito netting and and we loved the "outdoor bathrooms.

As good as the photos - almost. Guest Rating: 8

Amazing location. Good breakfast. Amazing location. Great beach & snorkelling just metres from your beach chair. Great location.

Nothing major

Like I said before great location. Be prepared to walk though, even from your room to the restaurant could involve a lot of stairs. Be prepared for a 'rustic' experience. We stayed in a panorama room which was really 3 rooms, a bedroom that could just fit the bed, a dressing room with the bar fridge and safe and also the bathroom. Only the bedroom had a/c and you had to go outside to get to the other rooms. Also be aware that even if you get a room with a view like the one we had, it might not be the view of the beach, ours was around the point so it only had a view of the water. We had a great time and would highly recommend it.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Make sure you visit Ko Nang Yuan. It is definitely a highlight.

Very private and very friendly staff.

The rooms were very nice but don't expect the usually style that you would find at big name resorts. But lots of "charm" and nicely decorated.

This resort has great views of the water. each room is it's only private villa with large balconies and beds that have great views. You can't go wrong with any of the rooms. Great maintenance and very friendly staff make your stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to any family or honeymoon couple. Best part was the free shuttle to and from the ferry.

Hotel Feature Tip : Arrange to have the hotel pick you up from the ferry.

180 degrees of Koh Tao seaview, best possible service and patience from the nicest personell, very nearby the centre jetties, private beach

When you go in september, october or november, keep in mind that Charm Churee is situated towards the rough seaside of Koh Tao. In case of snorkling or diving, not the best spot to go into the sea.

What a great and nice semi-ecological resort! What a warm-blooded people and what an excellent place to enjoy the beach, the island, the sun, the weather and the stunning sea view. Appartment 38 has all the comfort you could wish, including sea sight view when you take a shower, when you go to the toilet, when you go take a beer from the fridge, when you are lying down on one of the comfortable outside beds.

Goood snorkling. Location, great view from Bungalows, big spacy rooms, nice furniture, shower both inside and outside, free snorkel equipment at the beach.

lack of easy going atmosfere, but nice. No free wi fi.

Very nice beach, but small. Good snorkling. Great view. Panorama bungalows are really nice, I like this style, rustic and comfortabel. Bath room is great. Nice big terrace with nice view. However, in more backpacker places, atmosfere is better more laid back. Here Most of visitors are from Japan. But beach is lovely, and grat snorkling, lot of fish.

Travel tip : It is really near to Town if you walk by see side.

it's quite, and good view, the service are good.

not enough free water for drink

Warm welcom by the staff when we arrived. The room is large and tidy, the towel for beach is ready for the guest. The washroom has enough place and is tidy enough. King size bed is very comfortable. The room has very lovely bar balcony, where you can see the sea when you have a drink there, or you can read a book without any faze. There is also a private bay in the hotel, the guest would enjoy the sunshine.

Travel tip : you could also have a spa or massage beside the bay there.

The service was exceptional, and the private beach stunning.

None

The staff were so relaxed and friendly. Nothing was a problem. The private beach was so beautiful with brilliant snorkelling. And the rooms were big, comfortable and quite private from others around it.

Comfortable beds

Restaurant is too exposed, Cold showers Staff disinterest

We were very disappointed with our 4 night stay at the start of September. While the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, we had cold showers for 2 days. We reported this to reception who sent someone to fix it but he had no English and merely stood in the bathroom with the water running cold for 15 minutes. We later advised reception that it was still cold and asked them to fix it while we were out but it wasn't done for 2 days. Also we had dinner in the hotel on our first night only. It was so windy that my food literally blew off my plate! The food I ordered did not come out with the advertised food accompaning it and when I asked why, I was asked would I not eat what I received!!! Finally the location is too isolated if you are diving or want to go to Sairee village and the taxi's on the island are very expensive.

- Private access beach. - Outside town, in the middle of the forest-

Big plastic pipeline crossing one of the two stairs.

The best asset for Charm Churee is it's placement on a beach separated from the Mae Haad pier, which gaves the hotel the best waters ( lots of fish as you step into the sea !). The hotel is nicely decorated in balinese & thai fusion. We stayed at one of the Panorama Villas which was really big (two terraces) with nice sea view and two minutes walk from the beach. One big plastic pipeline crosses one of the two stairs which go down the hill giving access to rooms & villas. There was a really nasty smell one of the days. We needed inciense for staying in the room and terraces. At night there was one roach at the villa living room which we kept hidden by using antimosquito sticks & keeping the lights on. ( The villa was traversed by a tree, so the roach used the hole in the ceiling as entry point). But the hotel is in the middle of the jungle, so what can you expect !!

Travel tip : If you stay in Mae Haad Bay, this is the place to stay if you like the beach.

Good location, clear water, quiet.

Food is so so, too expensive

We have honeymoon here, since we contact the reception to upgrade. We got very good experience from them. Nice service, good hospitality from their staff, clear sea water. We had a good time there excepted the food is quite not dilicious and too expensive.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : private beach with clear water.

Spectacular location right on the water. The sunsets are marvelous and the fish literally come to greet you when you walk into the water at Jansom Bay.

The food is really not good at all. Go into town and get much better food at better prices. Not really a "boutique" hotel, quite rustic.

This hotel is more rustic than you might think looking at the pictures. It's an interesting concept: each room is actually a set of three different huts together with an outside sitting room. You are right on the water so the views are fantastic. Jansom Bay is really beautiful; when I dove in with my mask, I felt like I was in a Disney movie, so many colorful fish and coral. Amazing! On the down side, the food is terrible and expensive and there are many critters (lizards, mosquitoes, etc). I literally saw a five foot long lizard (like a gila monster)crawl out from the cliff under my room and slip into the ocean (a real National Geographic moment, but I think it had been chomping on the roof of my hut that morning). The hotel is within walking distance to the town where the boat comes in so there is an escape if you need it.

Restaurant Tip : I thought Whitening restaurant on the beach in town was very pleasant and a better value than the hotel.

Location. View. Great service. Baldaquin bed. Bathroom. Radio cd (no TV but who needs it??) Spa service. Room well equiped. Small privat beach.

Restaurant. 2nd beach hard to find and far. Small climb from restaurant/beach to room.

My mom and I had the Panorama room (#60); we loved it! Beautiful and very comfortable. Very charming! But we don't recommend to eat at the restaurant for supper. It's the same menu as the restaurant next to the beach. It's ok for lunch but not for a romantic treat in couple.

Travel tip : Scuba Junction for diving lesson.
