Koh Tao Montra Resort & Spa, Koh Tao (Suratthani)

We love the Montra Resort and would highly recommend it. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. the rooms were large, comfortable and very clean. The pool is a good size and is in two parts so that when scuba lessons are going on, you can still swim in the front part of the pool. It's close to lots of good restaurants and is walking distance to the pier and to some beautiful swimming areas. We went on a snorkel trip around the island that was amazing!! The only bad thing that happened was when my husband was surrounded by 5 dogs on a morning walk past the hotel next door and one of them bit him. The staff at the Montra Resort were fantastic - they cleaned up the wound and then brought us by truck to the clinic, along with Sarah - one of their great staff members - who was the intepreter for us. The hotel manager also went to the Crystal Resort to report the biting but was told that they won't do anything about it. But, other than that, it was a wonderful time and we'll defintely be back and recommend it to everyone!

The hotel was fine. right next to the pier so no taxi required - 2 minute walk to hotel

I believe this hotel should not have been listed on the Agoda website for sale to guests to use. It is obviously still in pre-open phase, and whilst we enjoyed the hotel/staff. Hotel has great potential, and good location, though I feel that the situation in Bangkok has had a negative impact on tourism, and prices should be charged accordingly.
