Very relaxing and just what I wanted!

Very nice place, although there was a shock checking in when we were told we had to pay 1500 more Thai baht for my 2 year old child's breakfast! This was disappointing as I thought everything was paid for upfront online. But apart from that the hotel resort was very nice and the pool, although small, was in a great location with fantastic views of the ocean. The food was also very tasty although the buffet breakfast could have been better. Overall though this was one of the nicer places that I have stayed in and I would recommend to a friend.

We’ve stayed in Sea View Studio Air-Con Room Thipwimarn Resort for two nights from 2 April to 4 April. The experience in Room is not as excellent as we expect. The Sea View Studio Air-Con Room’s facilities are too old. The window curtain and mosquito net have been a little bit broken already. It’s a dimly lighted room. Perhaps the Luxury Suit is the better choice except the price. It’s disappointed that there’s no shuttle bus to town. It’s a long way at a steep slope. We don’t care ants in room, but the fact we cannot accept is that a big mouse running into our room! By the way, I have to say the restaurant and the lobby have amazing sea view! The reception speaks English very well.

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel as it is away from the town centre, all rooms were surrounded by the tropical trees and created a unique and relaxing feeling to the guests. The room I stayed was a bit small and there were problems with the power supply.

Amazing views and great rooms

This was the second time we had stayed here, the first time was back in 2007 and it was just as lovely. The views from this resort are reaklly beautiful and a sunset cocktail in the pool is a must. The staff are very freindly and happy to help. The resoprt is a 15-20 min walk to the beach, this did not bother us at all as we liked the walk in the morning and you can get a moped for 200 THB a day or a taxi for 300 THB.
I would happily stay here again, the boutique room is fab!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure you go and visit some of the other beaches in the south, they are all amazing.

Having read all of the negative reviews of this place before we came, we were a bit apprehensive about staying here. Fortunately, most of the negative reviews are overblown. Yes, the place is a 20 minute hike from the main drag of Sairee, but that's exactly what makes it charming and pleasant. Yes, there are lots of steps, but it's on a mountain side overlooking the Gulf of Thailand! The landscapers did a wonderful job blending the resort in with the natural surroundings. The breakfast was very decent – especially for being included in the price. The rooms were very nice and reminded us of staying in a very nice lodge or cabin in an American National Park or somewhere like that. Yes, there were very loud frogs, but you are in the jungle, so get over it.
Okay, now the negative. The service was TERRIBLE. I mean, TERRIBLE. The staff have no managers or leadership, so everyone stands around and does nothing. The food is decent, but getting a meal takes at least 2 hours and, inevitably, about an hour into waiting for your food the waiter will come up to you and tell you that they are out of whatever it is you ordered. Also, the internet was out the entire length of our stay and no one seemed to be able to fix it. The power also fluctuates frequently.
The spa is definitely NOT worth the price. I got a better massage in town for 300 baht than the one I got at the Thipwimarn Spa for 1300! There's a nice little pool near the spa, but for some reason they turn off the lights at 8pm – just when you want to take a little dip to cool off from the beach and rinse the salt water off.
