- Near to the beach and street foods.
- Swimming pool is clean.
- Toilet shower is fabulous and the space is big.
- Room is clean and nice except for no reading light.
- Hotel light was on quite late (probably to save the power since there are only few number of rooms is occupied).
- Breakfast is not as expectation.
- No safe box to keep personal belonging in room.
- There are mosquito at night when we opened the corridor door.
Even the location is near to the beach and attraction shopping and street foods but the hotel environment doesn't look friendly. The hotel staffs should wear the hotel uniform like others hotel so that it will look proper and they should improve their services.

Internet is available for free.
The restaurant at the hotel closed early around 2P.M.
I like the hotel style; it is mixed with modern and classic. Though it is not a big hotel, the facilities are enough to make your life easy and enjoyable. There are internet, video room, swimming pool etc. The staff was helpful. I arrived the hotel at 8.30 check-in time is at noon. However, she let me check-in at the time of my arriving because my room was available. Moreover, at the end of my stay, I went for one day trip and it finished around 3 P.M. The check-out time is 2 P.M. She allowed me to use the shower room at Spa. That was very nice.

5 minutes walk to the beach and just a 100 meters to the shop-and-bar street. nice pool with a fantastic view of the sea and the nearby islands. free internet any time
the furniture and rooms need to be updated, loud air-condition at night
Alis is a quite place close to active life. At night it's a pleasure to walk along the beach line and choose a seafood restaurant with a variety of fresh seafood that will be quickly cooked to your liking. We also really enjoyed the view of the islands from the roof-top pool. In general Alis is a good starting point for further travelling to the islands.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It's not worth spending your time and money on manicure/pedicure near the beach. Better take an hour of Thai/foot massage and enjoy what the Thai ladies are truly good at.

The hotel is situated on quiet street, 100meters from the main street. It means there aren't much cars or motorbikes with their noise, but close to the hotel you're able to find all shops, restaurants, travel agencies and so on.
Only one strange thing: in second-floor rooms, there's open bath upstairs. Everyday room-maid kept the water open (probably to change water in the bath, and not to spoil the water). At night I had to go upstairs to switch it off, because the noise of running water was not so nice.
By the way, air-condition was noisy also; it was better to sleep without it.
In general, the hotel is perfect to use as a base to go around. Nice pool to refresh, free internet, pool table, even small cinema, where you can ask to watch your own DVD-disks.
Breakfast was very nice, especially fruits and kinds to fried eggs.
We were eight people, and we felt that it's our own private hotel.
There's a travel agency in it, where you can organize all tourist attraction: from air tickets to elephant tours and speedboat charter.
I'd recommend this hotel to all my friends as a perfect place to stay in Ao Nang.
Moreover I was free upgraded to double-floor room!
Hotel Feature Tip : Free internet, perfect breakfast, free pool-table and mini cinema.

Modern, clean hotel in a good location with helpful and friendly staff
We stayed at Alis for 5 nights (March 6th-11th)and as a result have decided to go back for our last 2 nights in Krabi after visiting Koh Lanta for a week. The rooms are large, clean and bright, rainforest shower was impressive and the breakfast provided an plentiful choice of western and thai food. Unlike every other hotel we've stayed at in Vietnam/Thailand they keep the breakfast fully stocked until the finish time of 10am. Our only downside to the hotel was the cleaniness of the pool. It seems as though the grouting between the tiles has/is coming off, and gets stirred up whilst swimming. The pool just needs a good clean.
Travel tip : The beach isn't amazing, but the views from it are.

Hot a split floor appartment with otdoor warm wooden bath tub on 2nd floor which was nice.
DVD player for music
Close to the main drags
Excellent indian restaruant "Soho" just down the road and loads of authentic thai food close by.
Taxi boats for touring the islands close also
Free internet in the lobby
Spa facilities expensive
staff unfamiliar
i got a last minute room from agoda and the price was excellent, although when i arrived they didnt have my booking. i eventually got a standard room. i was then upgraded to what i paid for a delux room which was fantastic. the AC was very noisey but the singha helps cure that. Ao Nang is very reorty! i could have been in greece on a package deal - wouldnt go back there is so much more in a close range
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Taxi boat to railay and other islands essential

Hotel was attractive and well situated within walking distance of the retail strip and restaurants. Some of the rooms have very picturesque views.
Food service at the upstairs lounge by the pool was indifferent at best.
My Thai fiancee and I had a small problem with our room at check-in which was quickly resolved by the hotel manager (she goes by Ann but I forgot her Thai name) and our stay was quiet and pleasant. Ann is also a licensed travel agent and was very helpful in making travel arrangements for us to Koh Sumoi. There are quite a few English, German and Swedish vacationers in this area (Ao Nang) and it seemed very family friendly, unlike some areas of Thailand.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Many of the visitors to this area will try taking a long tail boat to Railey, which I highly recommend. Be advised that the boat concessions for Ao Nang are not owned by the same group that has the concession for the Railey beaches. This can cause a problem as neither group is willing to make a run without a full boat or you paying the difference. I saw quite a few disgruntled customers trying to make their way back to Ao Nang thinking this was a simple taxi service. Many of them lost their tempers which is never advised in the Land of Smiles.

The location was between ao nang and nappharat beach so you can walk to both beaches.
The hotel lacked an atmosphere and the room had no view. The breakfast was very average for a continental breakfast.
I stayed in another hotel whilst in the resort and much preferred that (ao nang villa). The hotel is on a hill and is a 5 minute walk to the beach. I would not stay here again.

Nice pool, close to Ao Nang beach and shopping, quiet surroundings.
the entrance lightning was off at late evenings, couldnt use the internet.
We stayed in a spacious two floors "Clubbroom" with own roofterrace and a wooden bathtub. It was a quite lovely experience. Big kingsize bed,but the mattress was too hard. The bathroom was roomy with a nice shower. Breakfast was poor because there was not many guests. Staff was friendly although they spoke poor english. Overall, it was a nice hotel with relaxed atmosphere, close to shopping and the beach.

The power shower is really good.
The staffs rarely speak English although I must say they are kind enough to try to understand. Service was ok.
The cheapest tour package is near the road entering to this hotel. THB 900 to Phi Phi island. Typical is THB 1200. The ticket to airport is only THB 150/person, which u can buy from this tour agent (standard price) and align at Blue Mango bar, 1 minute walking distance from hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walk to the hill side near the end of ao nang beach (where you will pass many massage camps). It is a good exercise and you can see plenty monkeys there too.
