Sea side resort
Nice big pool, quiet, good family hotel

we got upgraded to the honeymoon suite, however, it wasnt as big as i expected, first time we stayed in 2009 they upgraded us to a spectacular room on the third floor. but it was still nice.
staff were super friendly, place is clean, breakfast had a good selection of food.
the pools were nice n quiet, good swim n sun so u can read by the pool n dip when it gets too hot

Restaurant Tip:
didnt try the food in the hotel as there are lots of cheap n cheery options just out n round the corner at Ari-baba's, (sea front restaurants for tourists are very disappointing), although the hotel burgers and chips did look good.

Reception Staff were very helpfull and changed our room when we arrived because the first one spelt musty as it might not have been used for a while.
The location is superb and has easy access to the beach, tail boats and shops!
The pool guy wasn't very helpfull though when we asked if we could have an umbrella as there was only sun loungers left with out them, he told us to move the beds ourself to a shaded place which I thought was extremely rude and unhelpful, we went to reception finally to ask and they sorted it out for us!
We missed our first two nights stay at the hotel due to our flights being cancelled due to typhoon 8 in Asia , we asked if we could get some money back, the hotel couldn't do anything with this as it was booked through agoda...... We are still trying to get some money back for the first two nights!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Be careful with the tail boats, we had an incident where the Tail boat company at the end of the road didn't bring us back to the same place and told us we had to pay extra our selfs to get back to where we started we were six people and complained at the company but they didn't even seem bothered! Very unhelpful and extremely rude people!
The hotel restaurants are almost 4 times more expensive then the local ones just outside!

Family hotel right in the middle of everything.

The hotel is right at the heart of everything--only steps from the beach, shopping, etc. The staff was friendly enough but not as friendly as we had expected from Thailand. The hotel itself was plain and forgettable. I cannot recommend this hotel for travelers wanting an exotic experience. This hotel is best for families wanting convenience if anything else....
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you like to workout this hotel has a decent--but small--gym, and a morning jog on the beach is just what the doctor would suggest.

- Easy access to small super market, beach, massage shops, long tail boat ticket counter
Old facilities
- No elevator (reconsider staying at 3rd floor if you have young children)
- Old room interior and bathroom
- So-so breakfast

not a very newly constructed hotel but decent room
right on the beach,could walk to the beach barefoot from hotel

a good breakfast spread and overall a pleasant stay. the tv in the room was an old fashioned miniature tv with no interesting channel. lots of little cats in the hotel. i guess it just added to the charm of the hotel. i enjoyed my 3 night stay thoroughly. wished i could extend it.....
Travel tip:
do visit the nearby beaches by boat. it was fun. the railey beach with the beautiful raywadee hotel is worth a visit.the sea outside our hotel is shallow till far so even non swimmers can enjoy in it.

Lovely hotel

Since we last stayed at the hotel about 5 years ago, it has obviously aged a little. It was good to see that they are renovating some of the rooms. It would be great to have better lighting in the rooms for reading (it was a little dim). Otherwise, it was lovely to be back.

Great Location, huge premises and friendly staff
Really good breakfast, free evening tea snacks and internet, two huge pools.

One of the best resorts on the beach. Cleanliness was evident. I will recommend ppl to stay here for the price being offered.
