Great location but would not return

The first impression when you arrive is quite stunning and then you get to reception where the greeting is not overly welcome. The rooms are clean but there are rules everywhere, water is provided in the rooms in glass bottles which you cannot take to the pool areas but you also cannot consume water bought outside the resort at the pools so have to pay resort prices at the bar for water. The first day at breakfast the toaster did not work and coffee was in a large urn! We decided that the place should be called Benidorm.

Very average hotel
Clean rooms but not much atmosphere there.

Hotel looked run down. Ripped umbrellas by the pool, water in pool a bit cloudy. Some of the staff dont even smile at you. We were left in limbo once we checked in and didnt know which way to go to find our room.
We would never stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the Seafood street along the main road.

Nice, clean hotel. Large rooms, friendly staff. Very average breakfast buffet. Bathrooms need to be renovated.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Remember to ask the price of a private boat tour, its not a great deal more then the group tour and you can then tailor it to your requirements.

i had a very wonderful trip because i stayed in a very nice and clean hotel. most important is this hotel is very near to the beach. food is delicious and staff is polite. the thai massage is cheap.

I and two friends of mine stayed at this hotel for 2 nights.
The room and the bathroom were very clean.
But, it was too noisy to the next room at night.
I think all of rooms need sound proof facilities.
And reception desk was not kind.
They requested us cash or card deposit.
We didn't expect it.
And we wanted to get a extra room key but they didn't have extra keys.

This part of Krabi has laws that prevent noisy water sports,so the beaches are very quiet,also the beach sellers are not allowed but they are still there,although no near as annoying as the rest of the hotspots.The are also has clean & paved streets without the smell of Patong etc!!
I have travelled alot in Thailand and this place is one of the best,much cheaper than other places for massages,food etc as well.The Mayor of this place has done an awesome job!!

Nice Resort but a bit over priced

The Ao Nang Villa Resort was an ok place to stay. Compared to other places I have stayed in Phuket, I felt that this Resort was a bit over priced. The rooms were dated and we found the staff to be a bit frosty - not really willing to go that extra mile or infact just do their job! The breakfast was ok and there was a good selection. The location was fantastic and only a quick walk to the beach and the main restaurant and shopping area.
