Aree Tara Resort is located on popular Ao Nang Beach and provides modern accommodation with plentiful comforts and luxuries. The beach is literally a few steps away making the resort an ideal getaway for a fun or romantic beach vacation. Rooms are simply designed, well furnished and feature modern amenities including TV and IDD telephone. The outdoor pool is perfect for unwinding and relaxing in the shade, sipping cocktails from the outdoor bar. The onsite restaurant serves both Thai and global cuisine, but specializes in seafood caught daily by the local fishermen.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice ambience, clean and safe.

Not located centrally at Aonang Beach, but not a problem if you don't mind a short walk or a cheap motorcycle taxi ride.

Biggest plus was probably the staff were very friendly and helpful. Arranging tours from the front counter was very convenient. Hotel had a nice ambience, was clean and felt very secure with security cameras on the floors and handy safety box in the room. Not located centrally at Aonang Beach, but not a problem if you don't mind a short walk or a cheap motorcycle taxi ride. Ideal for those looking for a quieter and more peaceful location. Overall, happy with my stay, good value for money and would recommend others to stay.

The hotel staffs understand quite abit of english and they are friendly. Clean place and the hotel looks rather new with nice designs even in the bedroom.

The drainage at the shower area had some problems but resolved easily. This hotel is not located at the heart of the main Aonang Area but its a 10 minutes walk only. Pool is rather small. Breakfast was not spectacular because there were limited choices only. However it tasted fine.

The hotel is a nice overall. Please choose the unit where you can just jump straight into the swimming pool from your balcony. But it would be noisy for you if you want some privacy. I think this place would be great for couples. This hotel is wifi ready.

Travel tip : Go on High season if you have the budget. Low season costs cheaper but most shops close early. Rent a bike if you are lazy to walk around.

- new and stylish rooms - great pool area

- staff in restaurant slow and unaccommodating (ie packing breakfast up 1 hour early)

Our room and the facilities at the Aree Tara are perfect but our experience with staff in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfasts was terrible. Beware, they start packing breakfast up one hour before finishing time and treat guests who arrive close to 9am with reluctance! Our only other issue was that they do not have any english channels on the tv whatsoever and no DVD players, etc for relaxing in your room (all thai channels only).
