Quiet location, short walk to beach and shops. Rooms nice size. Breakfast reasonably good for western food. Pool reasonable size with bar. Staff helpful. Tea bags are not free (25bht) coffee is free. Shower head in our room left a little bit to be desired but adequate. No smoking in any rooms only on balconies. Internet cheaper in street. Overall our stay was very pleasant. Would stay again. Krabi (Ao Nang) is a very relaxing and quiet area and is about half hour drive from Krabi town.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do the half day sea kayaking is well worth the effort most of the time is in mangroves and the monkeys are plentiful. Our guide fed them and we had several of them on our kayak some with babies and never felt threatend. Also down one end of the beach late afternoon there are monkeys.

The hotel is cozy and conducive for holiday goers with lustre greens surroundings. The breakfast is fair.We met the hotel manager in Krabi town on the way to Ao Nang, both of us were sharing the same songthew. She is a burly, sharp and alert woman. The bathroom water leaks after each shower. The mattress is smelly. And one thing I noticed is that guests from other guesthouses have been using the hotel swimming pool and they paid 50 baht per person to use the pool between 1500 hrs to 1600 hrs. (I was nosey like Sherlock Holmes)and also as sharp as the hotel manageres Hotel is conducive and cosy with lustre of greens surroundings. Bathroom water leaks after each shower. Guests from other guesthouses are using the swimming pool and were charged 50 baht each. Breakfast is fair. Convenient to walk to shopping malls and eatery places.
Restaurant Tip : Walk up further after Tipa resort, you will be able to find a reasonable Thai Restaurant on your left which is reasonable and cheap.

Noise around the hotel during the night, seethrough glass tiles at the bathrooms We stayed at the Best Western for three days and the hotel was OK. The staff was friendly and it was a reasonable VFM deal.
Wireless was working very well and we rented a scooter to get around with the help of hotel staff.
It is very quiet around this time of the year (September) and there should be very special prices as the hotels are practically empty. Shop around
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Island Trip to Phi Phi, Maya beach, Snorkling around Bamboo Island etc is definitely worth it. shop around to get good price.

Nice surrounds, quiet spot, spacious upgraded deluxe room, excellent access to wifi in room, attentive and polite staff. Didn't especially like the screen that divides bedroom from bathroom, a solid wall would be preferable.
Tap outlet next to toilet was leaking which resulted in a permanently wet floor in the bathroom. When we first looked at booking Best Western Ao Nang Bay Resort and Spa, the map location suggested it was further from the main road than it actually is. In fact it's within very easy walking distance of the main shopping strip and although the road it's on is on a incline, it's only 2 minutes to the main road. So, all in all very accessible and the airport shuttle from Krabi to Ao Nang drops and picks passengers up from the Krabi Resort on the main road, 2 mins away from the Best Western Bay Resort.
As it was in the low season in early September 2009 when we visited not all the eating places were open.
The Best Western Bay Resort had few customers when we were there but that meant attentive staff and quiet and relaxing surroundings. Breakfast could be ordered from the menu rather than buffet style, which I believe is the way things are done during the high season.
We cannot comment on the pool facilities as these weren't used. We had 2 days of thunderstorms and it was great that umbrellas were available for use and stored in the closet in the room.
Restaurant Tip : There'a a little open air eatery next to the general store at the intersection with the main road that does a great steamed fish dish. It's served in a dish that's warmed by a small flame.

Great location, short walk to beach and restaurants. FREE WiFi is a major bonus. Staff exceptionally helpful. I originally booked two nights and ended up staying six nights. Great value for money (book thru Agoda) for this well maintained, clean and tastefully appointed hotel. Loved using the FREE WiFi from the private balcony. Some people complained in previous reviews about the trees blocking the view but in my opinion it offered a great deal of privacy on the balcony and the "view" is limited by other buildings anyway. Nice pool area but can imagine in high season they would need more sunbeds. Breakfast was a set menu during low season which is fine as there was always yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, breads, salad as well. Front Desk staff were particularly helpful in accommodating my needs and storing my laptop while I took the island boat tour.
I will absolutely book this hotel again in the future.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Sawasdee Massage at the Best Western Ao Nang (sister property) is a great value with highly trained therapists...and a good standard of hygiene too.

A little bit out of the way I found the Best Western to be a good hotel. It was a little out of the way but certainly it was not a hassle to get about.
The Staff were friendly and helpful and the food at Breakfast was OK but did not vary in any way from day to day.
THe pool was clean and also had a swim up bar.
I would stay at the Best Western again if I needed to stay in Ao Nang again

Big rooms, good breakfast and helpful and kind staff. Hard beds and hotel should consider to change those.
We stayed there about 7 days in low season (august) and really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is clean with big rooms, good breakfast, great pool and nice staff. The hotel was a good value for the money. But the hotel was good for the money, considering.
Restaurant Tip : There is a local seafood resturant not so far away from the hotel. Just exit the hotel lobby and go down the road and first to your left. They have great grill seafood and for a good price. Also recommend to order trips to islands trough the tourist informastion center on the right side of the resturant.

Small resort in Aonang Bay situated near many shops and good restaurants. The location is good, you can walk to the shops and take a 'tuk tuk' to the restaurants (5 min). The price valuation is good. It's not expensive and the service is good. At least they can speak English, which is not common in Thailand. Don't weight to much value on the 'resort' description, because it is more like a big hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You really need to do the Phi Phi island trip.

1) Great room, great staff, great price.....what more could you want.
2) FREE WIFI (thats a first for Thailand)
3) Awesome breakfast...made to order Beautiful hotel that is very well kept. Very easy walk to be in the heart of Ao Nang and all the restaurants and shops. There is a really good Indian restaurant on the same road as the hotel near the intersection, i highly recommend this place if you like good Indian food.

Excellent service staff, well maintained and condition.
This hotel is well worth the cost. Have stayed at 2 other hotels is Krabi and this is excellent value. The rooms are in as new condition and everything works. Car parking could be a problem during the high season. Breakfast very good. Staff excellent. Swimming pool very nice-and clean. Had friends stay at another hotel for 20% more but no difference in facilities.
Travel tip : Don't get confused with the other Best Western only 250m away on the main road.

Large rooms. Great pool. Friendly, courteous staff. Breakfast OK but varied in standard over our 4 day stay. Very nice hotel, well sited up side street away from main traffic, but still an easy, short walk to restaurants, shops etc.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : "Red Island" (as called by the boatman) offers the best snorkeling: beautiful, varied coral and very wide variety of fish, including (harmless) Leopard sharks!

Very nice hotel and great atmosphere. People were so nice to me and my family. Location was great because it was near everytjing but it still remained peaceful and we could relax fully. From the upper rooms there is a great view from the balcony but it was bolcked by the trees. I would hope that if I come there next time there would be a clear sight to the sea from the balcony. Great place with relaxating atmosphere and beautiful area with the swimming pool and saunas and everything. The sight to the sea from the balcony was blocked by trees, but we could enjoy the view from the pool. Everything was close but the place still remained quite. I really recommend the place for everybody from single travellers to families.

Great environment and rooms are spacious. No view. A bit far from beach. Overall I like the design,landscape and the environment of the hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast not bad and reception services are all very friendly. Only setback is that there's no nice view from our rooms and a bit far to walk to the beach. Will definitely come back again.
Restaurant Tip : Quite a number of pizza shop nearby that serve good pizzas.
