the bathtub & wall are worn & tear.
the hotel exterior itself looks great, however railay east beach is really muddy & no good scene...

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
if you want direct access to beautiful sandy beach, better stay @ west beach.

Lovely hotel and fantastic spa
Fantastic spa, nice swimming pool

Lovely hotel with excellent spa and nice swimming pool. At night it can be noisy due to long tail boats and bar's music until midnight. Reception stuff helpful. Restaurant stuff needs to improve.

Recent good quality resort
quiet, big rooms, nice swimming pool and restaurant
8.7
There's a growing number of resorts in Railay and Bhu Nga Thani is a nice one, three year-old. It's on the East side of the peninsula, so there's no beach there but a 10-minute walk will lead you to a beautiful beach and the hotel swimming pool is very nice. And you'll be far away from the noisy boats bringing the tourists in and out. The hotel restaurant offers good food at a moderate price, the staff is very helpful and it's all very clean. Wifi connection is working but at a slow pace (for high speed, there is a computer room but we didn't try it).
Recommended if you want to enjoy a quiet holiday in a touristic place.

Every single member of the service staff smiled and made certain that my stay brought me the greatest joy and comfort. Tip went "above and beyond" to ensure I had a comfortable and pleasurable experience while on crutches after knee surgery. I'm a mountain hiker and hated to be left behind while my friends went hiking. So I indulged in the infinity pool and "crutching" down the sidewalks next to the hills and beaches.

Relaxing and comfortable stay
Large and comfortable room, peaceful surroundings, nice pool
7.7
We had to take a longtail boat from Krabi town, but as it was low tide, the boat could not dock near the beach. We had to walk about 500m out to sea, trudging through mud (which made it very difficult to walk) to get to the boat, lugging our baggage.. had we known, we would have travelled light.
Getting to the hotel after alighting from the boat also took us another 10 to 15 minutes. Getting there was definitely tedious and tiring, but the hotel made up for it. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and we could also borrow dvds from the hotel. They have a pretty extensive list of dvds. There's a daybed in the room, and another one in the balcony as well. The sea view wasn't really fantastic as it's partially blocked, but it's still better than nothing. Tranquil surroundings. Lovely pool to spend the morning at, which also has a poolside bar. Would have been perfect if not for the obstructed view of the sea. There's also a spa and a beach volleyball area. Food options at the restaurant are not too bad either, with both Western food and Thai food available.
Overall, it was an enjoyable stay for my companions and me. As we had planned for a relaxing getaway, Bhu Nga Thani met our needs, except for it's inaccessibility.
Travel tip:
Head to Railay West Beach (a 5 to 10 minute stroll from the hotel) to catch the sun set. It's a quiet and peaceful beach unlike the one at Krabi Town.

Nice hotel with good service
7.3
The Bhu Nga Thani Resort is one of the nicer hotels on Railay. The rooms where a good size & clean. The breakfast was good which was half buffet & with a selection of American, pancakes etc to choose from. I asked the hotel to arrange our transfer which was slightly more expensive than another hotel I've stayed at on Railay but when you see some people having to make there way to the shore with luggage when the tide is out it was worth every penny as the hotel arrange for you to be dropped off & collected right from outside the hotel. The pool area was a little dirty as a huge dead bug lay on the decking area for the first few days of our stay until I flicked it away. There is a lot of building work going on on Railay & some on either side of this hotel, it didn't affect our stay but you can here it at breakfast & if laid around the pool.
