Our recommendation is that you stay in this hotel only if you get a very good and cheap deal, otherwise choose other hotels nearby such as Centara or Deevana. Even with a hot deal offer we payed more for the room in Buri Tara then in other better hotels because if you come with children they request you to book an extra bed and they charge it. Size of the room was ok but everything else, including the swimming pool needs some maintenance.

1st of all about the transportation ...the mini van and bus keep stop at every pit stop and we like sardine in a can.with this price, i totally expect better room condition. the room is large but old. the toilet nice but got funny smell after used it.when we check in was the day tsunami occured....bcoz of tired we sleep and no speaker on the room to alert about the tsunami.we just notice when we get down due to no receiptionist pick up our phone and black out. when we get down no body around , everyone already run for their lives...goshhh.....luckly the hotel owner around and assit us.
besides than the earthquake experience,you can just lie down on the beach whole day and just relax. the standard rooms are a bit away from the beach.

Nice and spacious room and balcony.
Great buffet breakfast.
Swimming pool is not very big, but it's been well maintained.
Only one big con: It's not a big bed. It's two beds combined, and it's really uncomfortable to sleep in the middle.
Overall, I am very happy that we booked this hotel (Including breakfast). It's a great deal and I may stay here next time.

Bad pool side message.
The therapists don't know how to message at all. It's not expensive, but totally waste our time.

Very kind and polite hotel people. Room were very clean and convenient, but the beds are a little bit to hard. The breakfast is good, including fresh fruits. The swimming pool needs some work around the edges. Have to pay for Internet in the room, free in the lobby.
6th time we stay in here, so we love it! We are coming back next year!

When our bus for the island hopping trip was late for more than 30 mins, we requested the front desk staff to call the tour agent. Instead of being helpful, they wanted to charge us for the call. I would expect better service for a 4 star hotel considering the price we paid.
Hotel was a bit far from the beach. Rooms were clean and decent, but pillow was not comfortable. Breakfast was average.

The hotel is average at best. The rooms have wifi but you have to buy an internet package unless you want to sit in the lobby in order to use the free wifi that is advertised on the hotels booking page. The hotel is a bit of a walk to most shops or places to eat. For the price the service and rooms were a bit of a let down. In Thailand the room rates for the service and room quality you expect more at this hotel. I will not return to this hotel in the future for no other reason than its just another hotel, nothing special about it at all. Average pool, average food, location is average.
Restaurant Tip:
you are about 15 to 20 minutes away from most places if you walk. There are tons of taxis waiting at the corner but you can walk and shop so no need to use them.
