Loved the construction, the very roomy rooms, the extra attention to detail, the Thai-style, the friendly staff and the large balconies! A little bit of road noise but couldn't really hear it with the AC on. Previous reviews mentioned the friendly staff and the beautiful rooms - we were not disappointed! In fact, I had no idea the rooms would be so nice and LARGE! It felt like a small house. When we arrived we were greeted with a drink and a large fruit plate. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony though breakfast was far more than we could eat. I would recommend Cha Wan to others.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If the longtail boats are unable to go to Railey Beach from Ao Nang due to weather and waves you can catch a boat from the Ao Nam Mao pier for 60 baht. You can catch a tuk-tuk to Ao Nam Mao pier from Ao Nang for 50 baht.

Overall, it is an intimate resort, about 15 rooms and is relatively private. Staff is very friendly and able to guide guests on where to go to eat, shop etc. More of a romantic getaway rather than family-oriented.
Restaurant Tip : Go to Wangsai Seafood restaurant - great food, fast service and reasonable prices.
