Exclusive hotel with spacious rooms
Spacious rooms, separate shower and bath area, large terrace, privacy
7.7
We stayed four nights at the hotel and found it to be quiet and exclusive as there are only 10 rooms. It is a good location that is just 10 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the Aonang beach where you can find various restaurants (seafood, Italian, Thai food), shops and a string of tour agents. The hotel receptionist is very friendly and helpful in giving directions to Aonang beach or Krabi town. The hotel is very close the Hilltop Restaurant and Lae Lay Grill Seafood restaurant. Both restaurants are situated at the top of the hill which is a good thing when you want to wind down at the end of the day, have dinner at a place that offers a great view of the Andaman Sea and the little town of Aonang. The hotel's cleanliness is at acceptable level but could do with some improvements. These include renewing the bath towels that have been used for some time, sweeping the room floor more thoroughly (it was dusty) and ensuring that the bedsheets, duvets, pillow cases and cushions are properly washed and aired before next use by the customers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Cha Wan Resort and would return if we come to Krabi again.

Lovely hotel with friendly service staff
Big rooms and provides many things including mosquito coils, beach towels and umbrellas
7.3
hotel originally had 2 small pools and one of them is being filled up with sand. the remaining pool is small but is ok if not too many guests are staying there. there's a short cut from the hotel to aonang beach (less than 10 mins walk) which is very convenient. there were ants in the wardrobes, so it will be good for the hotel to ensure that the ants are gotten rid of permanently.

Amazing hotel & staff - like staying in paradise!
Clean, good location, friendly staff, fully stocked rooms, comfortable
9.3
absolutely no complaints about our stay at cha wan resort. the staff there were all extremely warm and friendly. they were always helpful and kind and made for a very pleasant experience. one really great thing about this hotel is that it isn't one huge building with multiple rooms. instead there are five or six individual two-story structures, almost like houses, set up around a lovely pool with gorgeous plants and greenery all around. our suite was actually the top floor of one of these houses and it was the perfect amount of quiet and privacy without being completely secluded from the rest of the world. the room was clean and spacious with super comfortable bedding (pillows like heaven!), the bathroom was well stocked and there was lots of storage space as well (two large floor to ceiling cabinets). the little things were also appreciated - comfortable robes, being able to make a nice cup of tea in the room, or the towels that smelled so clean with a really refreshing laundry detergent. in terms of location, the hotel isn't right on the beach, but it wasn't a big deal to walk 7 or 8 minutes down to the main road get access to everything we needed (a mini-mart, taxis, restaurants, tour operators, etc). we couldn't have asked for more in a hotel!

Cosy and most value for money resort!
New, very nicely furnished, large rooms, friendly staff, short distance from Ao Nang beach, generous breakfast servings
8.7
The location of the hotel wasn't really what I had expected as it was along a quiet street. However, the interior surprised me. Despite being a short distance away from the beach, it still had a very resort feel to it complete with wooden deck chairs and a rather clean but small pool in the middle (if you do not mind the a few small insects and leaves). The receptionist was very friendly but could not speak much English. There are a variety of brochures next to the reception which are very helpful. Just tell the receptionist what activity you would like to go for and she'll gladly help to contact and arrange transfer. The rooms were huge, for what we paid, and nicely done up. Amenities were available. The only thing was that the safe in our room wasn't working and could not be locked. We had to keep our valuables elsewhere. Be sure to check that if you decide to go for this hotel! Overall, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay and my trip went without a hitch thanks to Cha Wan Resort!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Bring insect repellent as there are mosquitoes around. Like other reviews have stated, opt for the second floor rooms so you won't be that bothered by the mozzies.

Lived Up to Its Reviews
Very Large Rooms, Separate Tub and Shower, Real Value for the Money
8.7
Stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the Cha Wan Hotel. Traveled to Phuket afterward and really miss the Cha Wan. Krabi is a little of everything you want in a visit to a beach area in Thailand but without the frenetic overkill.

Cha wan Raview
breakfast, limited rooms, spacious rooms and bathrroms

The hotel was comfortable with huge rooms and bathrooms. Breafast was an absolute delight as it was served on the deck of our room. We dined in for lunch one afternoon and though the food was good, it was rather on the pricey side. The beach and shopping stalls was a 15-20 minute walk away so would have been good for the hotel to have a tuk tuk handy to drop guests off at the beach.
Overall very pleased with the hotel with the minus point probably being the very small pool.

My Stay at Cha Wan resort, Ao nang
6.3
Overall, it is an intimate resort, about 15 rooms and is relatively private. Staff is very friendly and able to guide guests on where to go to eat, shop etc. More of a romantic getaway rather than family-oriented.
Restaurant Tip:
Go to Wangsai Seafood restaurant - great food, fast service and reasonable prices.
