Huge room with two king sized beds!

The resort was simple, but sufficient for our needs as we were not going to spend copious amounts of time in the room. The swimming pool was just so-so, but they wifi connection was great.
We had a two month newborn baby, and it worked well for us as we needed to use the sink, heat up water, etc.
There aren't many restaurants nearby, but if you want a quiet retreat, Klong Muang beach would be it.
Shopping Tip:
Be prepared to spend money on commuting to the more happening parts of Krabi, such as Ao Nang.

This hotel is more like a motel. The service at this hotel was shocking! We were given a room which lacked basic necessities. No soap, no shampoo, and no covers on the pillows. We asked for soap several times and never received it. We ended up buying our own from 7-11 across the street. The location is this motels only saving grace. The roads are great for riding motorbikes and the beach across the street is very nice.

walk through the sheraton hotel across the street to get to the beach

Very large and modern rooms

The Check Inn is a very nice hotel with beautiful large rooms that would be ideal for families since it comes equipped with 2 queen beds. If you are looking for many nightlife options this hotel is not for you, however if you are seeking a relaxed and quiet change the Check Inn is a great choice. Management at this hotel is very lax and needs to moreover.

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and found the rooms this stay to be of the same high quality as before. The ownership has since chanced and the management of the hotel has definitely worsened. While the rooms are clean, the hotel itself is less so, there seemed to be no one in charge of the front desk or the breakfast room, and the service has declined. It is till an excellent choice for those wishing to get away from the bar scene for a relaxing stay.

huge rooms, quiet, near the beach
rooms had two double beds in them, kettle, toaster, microwave and expensive sound system

i stayed in this hotel two years ago when we were told the swimming pool was going to be re-tiled. i think it has changed hands in the mean time and the enthusiasm of the then owner has not been sustained unfortunately. now in need of a fresh coat of paint and the bath needs cleaning properly.

Clean Rooms!

We had a nice stay there in the deluxe suite. Although there once was a kitchenette, there is no kitchen supplies of any sort. You do get a microwave that is really weak. You're better off just having coffee at the breakfast. Speaking of which, it is very limited. Consisting of funky tiny sweet breads, sliced hotdogs, boiled ham, fried eggs, white and wheat bread that you can toast. The sunnyside up fried eggs are always overcooked. Someone ought to give them a lesson. The nice thing about this place is that, it has a nice big clean (It was when we were there in January) swimming pool and the room was serviced daily and cleaned. There are a few restaurants and little stores within walking distance even a pharmacy, tho it opens up late 6pm.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Here's a tip. Karabi Town is about 40 minutes or a lot longer on a scooter. Karabi, Thailand is pretty cool because of it's land formations and the people are nice as well. Study your map before heading out on any excursions. Ao Nang or Aonang is only about 12 minutes away by back roads.
