pavilion suite bungalow is an exceptionaly wellapointed room equal to a four star plus hotel every thing you could want in a room is suplied .pool and surounding gardens are very beautiful and relaxing .standard hotel rooms are of equal quality obviously not as well apointed .buffet breakfast has a vast choice of excelant dishes .right next to beach and shops

golden beach is a fantastic hotel located right on the beach. we stayed in october for 6 nights and everything was perfect.we got an upgrade of the room from pavilion suite bungalow to executive bungalow that was awesome. we had a bathroom with jacuzzi and with glass ceiling though which you could see palm trees and nearby mountains. breakfast was standard, nothing fancy. we will definitly return.

Great stay by the beach

Our stay at the Golden Beach Resort was a great one. The rooms are big and very nice. The resort is located away from the main street so there is no noise. The only thing you hear are the waves. The swimming pool is very nice. The beach access is very close. The restaurant was decent, but there are so many good places to eat within 10 mins walk.

i had a very nice stay. i recommend this hotel for all the ppl that want to be close to the beach but also to the center of ao nang with many shops, bars and restaurant.very nice swimming pool and garden.
the only point that is not in line with the rest is the food. continental breakfast is just decent but there is not much and always the same choice. i don't recommend the restaurant in the hotel because the food is not very good and there is plenty of bars and better restaurants just 100 meters away.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you book your trip or excursions with the girl in the hotel they offer a very good service and you can try to bargain a bit. There are many agencies offering services but many of them do not have insurance or not qualified drivers, or they don't have enough life jackets on the boats. The agency inside the hotel is offering an excellent service with all his staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at Golden Beach. The room was well appointed and huge, though bed was pretty hard! The swimming pool was beautiful, crystal clear and because it was end of low season, we had no problems getting a sun lounger! If you have travelled to Thailand in high season you will know what I mean! Buffet breakfast was very good; the hotel staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Our only complaint was having to pay for wifi, we'd been to Laos for almost 3 weeks and it was free everywhere, a much less developed tourism market. I would recommend Golden Beach for a nice holiday.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ao Nang is just a great place to be in the evenings, plenty of sights to see along the main streets, great eating, cheap cocktails. Some good shopping, both cheap and upmarket.

apart from all visible signs calling the beach ao phra nong we arrived by our own car. staff greeting was efficient and cordial rooms are all very clean and an adequate size. balcony with table and chairs looking over the pool was comfortable.
breakfast was more than adequate with either outside or inside dining. staff very attentive and all food was ready by 0650
the internet fee was not appreciated and very expensive.
beach directly across a narrow road and at the very front of the hotel
all in all...we would return to krabi and stay here again
Travel tip:
If you are driving just watch out for at turn at the signs to Ao Phra Nang...from there it is easy
