beautifu location,very practical rooms, elegant, simple and comfartble, clean dining hall and tasty food no airport transfer, less spread for breakfast. The hotel building and the room is very pleasant, location is beautiful the sea is awesome but unfortunatly there are lot of hyperdermic syringes ,needles and rubbish scattered all over the beach. The staff were helpful and courteous. If they had airport transfer it will be one of the top resorts in Ao Nang.
Travel tip : walk with foot wear on the beach. try the street stalls, resturants are grossly expensive.

Reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and check-in was fast and efficient. I like the location - away from the mainstream but close to all shopping and dining outlets and the beach was only a stone's throw away. Generally, there are no weaknesses that stood out. There could have been a wider variety for breakfast though although it was OK. The hotel is a great place if you are looking something quiet but near to all shopping and dining outlets. I like the restaurant overlooking the beach. Pity they do not serve you even drinks after 10.00 p.m. as there was an occasion when I wanted to just have a drink and listen to the performer and I as informed that the place was closed. Aside from this, my stay was a pleasant one. The staff were very friendly and room service quite efficient.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Avoid making island-hopping arrangements in town as we were able to negotiate better prices near the hotel.

I was very surprised that the weather was so nice in June in Krabi, it didn't rain once. With the hotel basically on the beach you get a constant breeze which is very pleasant and non-existent minute you get 2 blocks away from shore. Called hotel to arrange for airport transfer and they recommended taxi desk at airport which was in fact cheaper (600THB). There are restaurants, shopping, plenty of massages and excursions available nearby. Make sure to negotiate for better rates in slower seasons. Pool area was nice and well cared for and food/drink prices were not more than other local spots. Room was generally comfortable and clean w a modern bathroom, nice tub, little fridge and HBO. Cute little balcony w chairs but bed was v hard and both my friends and I ended up w sore backs during stay as a result- happily there are cheap and cheerful massages available everywhere but still was painful. Krabi is a great place to relax and explore the beautiful islands and sites nearby (really enjoyed the half-day cooking class for 1000 THB and full day island speed boat tour for 900THB!) but not for big clubbing/wild nights out thankfully. Great spot for long weekend getaway from BKK and will consider staying at Golden Beach again as it was good value and very convenient for all that Ao Nang has to offer.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Highly recommend the multi-island speed boat tour w/snorkeling and half day cooking class- both were good value and fun.
No chair/umbrella rentals in Krabi which are normal at other Thai beaches but you can go left out of hotel to massage huts, pay 200THB for 1hr massage or other service and they will provide chair on their little section of beach for the day- good deal! Head to the Irish Rover around the corner for some evening live music, TV sports and cold beer (food was generally not great) in air-conditioning if you like.

Sea Facing, spacious room, big pool, clean location. Breakfast not really nice and the staff could not speak and understand English very well. It was my first time to Krabi with my children. There are 7 of us and we were so lucky that we were given rooms at ground floor. No elevator of 3 storeys building. The hotel area was very clean. The hotel food was not nice and not Halal. Luckily we had a Muslim Tour Guide took us to the Muslim Restraurant nearby Ao Nang.1 day rent a van for 1800 Baht.Take a day tour for Elephant Tracking, Hot Spring, Fish and Crocodile Farm.Another 1 day tour to Phi-Phi Island, swimming and snorkeling.Shopping nearby hotels but it was better if shop at Krabi Town night market and Tesco Lotus but it took half an hour to go there.Overall my children enjoyed their holiday in Krabi.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 1 hr for Elephant Jungle Tracking, 1 day tour for Phi-Phi Island, 1 day tour for Fish Farm, Crocodile Farm and Hot Spring, shopping at nearby shops, Krabi Town night market and Tesco Lotus.

Hotel is next to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Aircon works fine. The room lighting is a little dim for my liking. Quite a bit of ants around the pool area and also in the room if you have foods on the table. The swimming pool is near the room which is good and nice but they should improve on the edge around the pool which has sharp tiny stones that can easily ruined your swim wear or cause bruises if you accidently rub against it. There are no connecting rooms. I booked two rooms and stayed at the hotel from June 2 - 5 with my wife and three kids. The hotel is about 30 mins from Krabi airport and just next to Ao Nang beach and within 5 minutes walk to restaurants, souvenir shops, money changer and ATM. I paid per room/night including breakfast which I think is a good deal from Agoda. The rooms are clean, bathrooms and aircons all working perfectly and they also have TV / DVD player and a safe in the room. The bed is a little stiff for my liking other than that not too much complaints.
Breakfast is very decent for the price and they even throw in a free breakfast for my 6 year old, they only provide breakfast for 2 guests per room. My kids love the pool but my only complaint is on the finishing on the edge of the pool. Currently is low season, we did massage in the hotel overlooking the beach which is awesome and they even offer 50% off during happy hour. Happy to stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you plan a few days here, try to explore the place outside of the hotel area first so that you can plan your itinerary and not missed out on any of the attraction around the area. You should also try out the Italian icecream place along Ao Nang Beach, the Apple crumble pie is delicious.

Clean, Beach Facing, Beach was just across the Street Descent Clean property, No Elevator, so climbing 2 Floors was a pain. Good Location, Overall OK

no free internet .. its my first time to come here,krabi .. and it was a wonderful journey eventhough i just spend for two night.. the staff were really friendly and helping a lot with me and my family..
krabi is so beautiful city and its really clean ..
just have a chance to take phiphi tour and it was super great,so beautiful..
i will definitely go to krabi again and staying at golden beach resort ..

Clean, kind and helpful staff.
Quiet area with no street traffic, shopping and restaurant area is within five minutes walking. On arriving, we felt welcome, check-in was a cinch. We enjoyed the swimming pool very much, it is large and deep enough to be able to really swim, and has a shallow kids area as well. Because our stay was during low season, my wife and I felt like having our own private pool.
We were surprised by the cleanliness of the pool area, which was cleaned by the staff every day, early morning. And they cleaned the stretch of beach in front of the hotel as well. We were allowed to use towels provided by the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I recommend the Island tour (take a speedboat, safer than the noisy longtail boat), and especially enjoyed the snorkeling amongst an abundance of tropical fish, and coral reef. Bring an underwater camera if you can.

Nice, friendly staff.
Is placed away from traffic noice.
Good restaurant. We had some really nice days in Ao Nang and the hotel was good. I can recommend this hotel to all people which are looking for a place to stay which is comptable and no problems with traffic noice. The hotel is not a a 5 stared eupean resort but it has a nice pool and friendly staff.

Very good location, close to shops and restaurants / relaxed atmosphere / beautiful garden / calm and quite hotel area / nice pool area / convenient for families with small children.
I could not find too many cons. Hotel is located may be one of the best spots in the area, in front of the best beach, close to shops and restaurants. Nature around the hotel area was well kept and beautiful, atmosphere was relaxing and night time very calm and quiet. You could hear only tropical sounds around you. Pool area was pretty and convenient for families with small children.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Noserey Park - one hour elephant tracking in the rain forest was a wonderful experience. I have been in many but this was not too much of tourist place but more like eco tourism with a friendly atmosphere. Take a day tours to Four islands / Hong islands. You may take a long tail to Railey, but speed boat trips are may be more convenient for one day tours.

Nice pool, right near the beach. Enjoyed seeing the monkeys at the end of the beach - very friendly! Golden beach was a nice way to get our holiday started. I wouldnt stay in krabi for a long time as there is so much more to see in Thailand.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Check out the monkeys at the end of the beach & buy some bananas!

Excellent location
Friendly staff This hotel is perfectely situated at the beach in Ao Nang close to all the restaurants and shopping facilities in Ao Nang. The hotel has a convenient size and is perfect for families. It has a nice swimmingpool with good service. The main attraction is the restauant at the beach with a perfect wiev of Ao Nang Bay. The staff at the reception, the restaurant and those attending to the rooms are very friendly. The price i a little bit on the high side.

I really like this hotel due to the proximity to shopping area, nice big room good pool area plenty of lounge chair, good massage place up front breakfast have a good selection. Good shops near by, Hotel locate on the small beach road so that is a plus that is no traffic in front of your hotel, we can call this hotel beach front for sure. Recommended for a family

Has choice of bungalows and not just hotel rooms in multi-story complex. Location is quiet but close 5 mins walk to shops and restaurants. Bungalows are just short walk across a small access road to the beach. Nice restaurant with great decor. Beds in the seaview bungalows are very uncomfortable and hard. I woke up every morning with a sore back. They have live music in evenings and the singers are terrible. Can't sing in tune and the music choice is OK but the cheap, unprofessional sound of the backing music/rhythm is really bad. The quite expensive seaview bungalows are close to the restaurant and you can't sleep until the live music finishes after 10.30pm each night. We had stayed at Golden Beach Resort before in a garden bungalow. Very nice. The bungalow was in a quiet spot not too far back from the beach but very private and quiet. We booked a seaview bungalow this time and it was terrible. More expensive than garden bungalow but the bed was more uncomfortable and we couldn't sleep at night until the live music from the restaurant (very close to our bungalow) stopped playing. The live music was terrible also - very unprofessional and the singer couldn't even sing in tune! The singer at the restaurant at Paradiso Restaurant was fantastic and we gave her a tip! She was awesome. We avoided eating dinner in the Thai Thai Restaurant attached to Golden Beach resort just because of the terrible music, but the food there is good and the outdoor setting very nice. We were happy and impressed though with the decision that management made to upgrade us to an executive pavilion bungalow on our other 3 nights stay there. We complained because of the loud music and that we couldn't sleep, and the next day they moved us to a very nice exec pavilion which was far away from the restaurant and very quiet. The bed was still the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, anywhere in the world! Very hard and I was aching every morning I woke up. However we did sleep quite a bit better because it was quiet. If you can afford an exec pavilion bungalow I'd recommend it, but they are very very expensive for Thailand standards I think still. We would consider going back again but would specifically request a garden bungalow away from the restaurant in a quiet part of the resort.
Hotel Feature Tip : Get a garden bungalow that is not too close to the restaurant (which plays live music at night until 10.30/11pm). If you want to sleep earlier than that at night, you need to be away from the restaurant noise in a quiet part of the resort.
