I have stayed in pranang flora for four days and it was pleasant experience overall.
The rooms are big and clean and the staff are very friendly. The location is just right and close to all restaurants and 7/11 etc. The city view room got great view of the cliff and sea which was just awesome. This hotel is a great value for money and I would love to stay in flora again.

The room is large and the internet speed is sufficient with strong signals. The hotel is on the outer rim of the main beach area so you will need to walk around 10-15 mind (depending on speed) to get to the beach. 7 eleven nearby the hotel, convenient and a good place. For tour packages as Phi Phi island, 4 island tour, massage /spa are highly recommended.

The female receptionist greets us with smile and she is always smiling throughout our stay there. The room is clean and spacious, have basic amenities, they provide a kitchen where you can use the heater,mug,plate and other cutleries and it make you feel like you're at home. The view is not so keen as our view is the opposite hotel which is Haleeva hotel. It is a bit far from the beach but if you are busy doing some shopping while walking you won't realize you already come to the end of the road where the beach is.

Overall the hotel is decent for the price we pay. The room is large and the internet speed is sufficient with strong signals. The hotel is on the outer rim of the main beach area so you will need to walk around 10-15 mind (depending on speed) to get to the beach. There is a fruit stall close to the hotel that sells freshly cut pineapple, mangoesteen and langsats fruits.
There are plenty places to eat towards the beach but to me the prices are slightly higher compared to koh samui and phuket. there is a 7 eleven nearby the hotel aswell which is convenient and a good place to buy your alcohol.
The hotel offers basic tour packages and it pays to shop around for the same tour packages as we saved a few hundred baht on various tours. Phi Phi island, 4 island tour, emerald pool, hot spa and monkey temple are highly recommended.

this seems to be 3 guesthouses together - ours said cozy and there has harvest too. the hotel is a little way up the road from the beach, but it's an interesting walk past shops and restaurants so no problems.
ao nang beach is at the end of the road. if you go left past the boat ticket offie, there are many restaurants and massage places along there under tree shade. the beach itself has no umbrellas or beds.
you can get a longtail to railae for 100bt each way, it is lovely there too.
lots to do, not too beery or backpackery.

Cheap hotel but not recommeded for light sleepers
Cheap and friendly staffs, minibar cheaper than 7-11

The room was fairly clean, spacious with adequate basic amenities(for a budget place). However, it tends to be very noisy when the staffs and hotel guests go up and down the stairs. At night, traffic noises, shutter noises (don't know why they keep opening and closing shutters non-stop at night), shaky bed frame noise, loud guest and staff voices can be heard all night, even till the wee hours.
After a long day at the beaches and islands, you can hardly sleep through the noise as it can get extremly noisy at times.
If you are a heavy sleeper, then the hotel is highly recommended if on a low budget. The distance to the beach is quite a walk, but still within reasonable range. Plenty of restaurants, convenience stores and service providers along the road (a lot of westernised restaurants, Italian etc though)
The breakfast they provide is american style breakfast, but if you want quality food, its better to travel a bit
Overall an OK-but-can-be-better yet cannot-complain-much-due-to-price hotel. Light sleepers please stay away though.

Bring your own toothbrush and paste. Beach towels provided, just ask and you shall receive at no extra charge
