nice beach, nicely designed privacy cottage
dirty toilets, promised wifi does not work, hot water got cut off without warning, minimart prices are minibar prices, restaurant does not have good selection of thai dishes and is pricey, staff does not exhibit traditional Thai hospitality
The room design gives a favourable first impression, and we really enjoyed our time in there. However, the bathroom was not that good; hot water that didnt come sometimes and had a stinky smell.
Staff were not very friendly, which is surprising given how touristy the place was. Service at the restaurant was slow, and the food selection wasnt great.
Location-wise, this resort had a good beach (although nothing compared to phi phi or the four islands), but it was cut-off from Ao Nang because a water taxi is required to go anywhere else.
Wi-fi did not work as promised (we were told that it was down for maintenance; we stayed there for four days and it wasnt available at all)
All-in-all, we expected better for this price range, and wont be going back there again, nor will we be recommending this place to our friends.

Stunning picturesque beach - picture postcard perfect.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Reasonable internet connection.
Good pools - one on the beach and one at the back.
The rooms in this hotel are now rather dated (go for a privacy cottage to get a more modern feel). Old, torn, bleached towels and faded sheets mean that the price this place commands is not wholly worth it - you are paying for the view, not the standard of the accomodation.
The beach is now so popular and on the tourist trail, that it is incredibly busy. The crowds are not so difficult to take, but the constant roar of the longtail boat engines, and the stream of gas and oil in the water is a real shame.
Hippy backpackers in dirty thongs and boxers - not the best image to wake up to!
Terrible food! Go next door to the Rayavadee - the menu isn't that pricey considering the quality of the food.
The spa is ridiculously over-priced, and not at all professional quality. Avoid at all costs!
It's great to wake up to the fantastic view of Rai Ley Bay, but I wonder if the prices commanded by the accomodation here are really worth it. Better to stay in Ao Nang where there is more choice of restaurants and evening entertainment, and pop over to Rai Ley by long tail for daytime beach fun.
Restaurant Tip : Eat next door at Rayavadee - it is well worth the slightly extra costs.

The room, was great and the location was good, although we was kept up one night by a party that took place at the Stone Cafe which, is far away, we was up till 6am, and there is nothing you can do about it. the outside Jacuzzi was great, and the room service was fantastic.
Railay Bay, well we stayed on the expensive side od\f theisland and had a New Years Gala dinner, on the Beach, it was good but more for Familys. then couples, we are travelling for 6 months, and to be honest this has probably been the worst of the Islands i have been to so far!! the side where you go out to party is like a swamp and the smell is unbelievable, if you have sensitib\ve sense of smell this is def not the place for you, it always smells of sewage, and the beach on the cheap side is more like a swamp!!! when eating over there you are constantly surrounded by flys, However the nice side of the island is great and the Beach is lovely although very busy and very expensive, obnce on this island everything is almost double the pric e and there is not a thing you can do apart from leave, having prepaid our two weeks there this was not a option, i suggest you bring sun cream from home as its expensive in Thailand all over,
Nightlife Tip : take out Mosquito spray
