beautiful views and perfect location. better sunset than at Rayavadee the US$800 per night hotel ( at 1/8th ) the cost
rooms need better maintenance, cleansing and incense to give a nice smell.
Railay side restaurant very good Thai food and better view than the 5 star hotel right next to it charging 8 times more money. Definitely would come back again and this is the place to stay on Railay beach as value for money cannot be beat. Great seafood at the Railay beach restaurant in fact after a few days I realized the restaurant was the best of all the hotels on Railey.
Travel tip : ask for a new room.

Quality of the rooms, staff not friendly upon arrival, lack of selection of food around the hotel.
We stayed here for the location. It was the most expensive place we stayed our entire stay in Thailand and also the worst. The staff was rude upon arrival- demanding a printed copy of my confirmation despite the fact I had the confirmation number. I had to PAY to use the internet and PAY to print off a copy. The rooms are worn and the towels smell like mildew. There were signs of rust in the bathrooms. When taking a shower the water pressure would all of a sudden go out and there would be no water at all. I would not recommend staying here. Find somewhere off the beaten path in Ao Nang and come here for the day- it is a cheap (80 baht) boat trip over and there are TONS more, better tasting options for dinner in Ao Nang as well.

the location is on the center of railay beach. great room overall. best access to the transport (long tail boat or speed boat) in the west and east
the water in the accomodation is not clean. the rooms have a mosquito a lot and i hear the bugs sound in my room.. dunno what's that..
The receptioniost & officer was very helpfull and very nice. Great view from the pool in the west side. the room is tidy. If you love quite restfull don't take room near the small street that connect west and east. In the middle of the night you will still hear people crossing the street and in the early morning to.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : sandy beach, great place to sun bathing. For swimming, you should go to phranang beach.

The location is perfect and the pool loungers overlook the bay. The resort and pools are quiet and the rooms are all great. WE HAD A SIUTE COTTAGE NEAR THE BEACH WHICH WAS FANTASTIC. The restaurant is the best on Railay and therefore is quite busy all day food is always fast.
Lack of shade around pools - there are no umbrellas. The resort seems to attract a small percentage of early risers who put towels on best loungers and leave them there all day!
The rooms on the east side of Railay are not great and the privacy cottages are not atmospheric - it looks like a road of huts with poor landscaping. The location is perfect and the restaurant is best on Railay and very reasonably priced. The transfers may look expensive but use them or you may be walking through mud or lugging suitcases up the beach. Give yourself time to relax at Railay as once the daytrippers go home to Ao Nang this is simply magical.
Nightlife Tip : Go and sit on the candlelit mats on the sand outside the Flametree Bar after dinner and soak up the stars and the relaxed boho atmosphere.

Beautiful surrounding on west railey beach. excellent service. Good restaurant
The only place on Railey with a better location is Ruwayadee (?spelling) which has access to all 3 beaches
We had an amazing time here. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Beautiful surrounding on west railey beach. excellent service. Good restaurant. The only place on Railey with a better location is Ruwayadee (?spelling) which has access to all 3 beaches

Position was fantastic, the pool was great.
The grounds were impeccable. Breakfast was very nice.
The bathroom need a bit of a revamp. Each time you showered the floor got flooded.
The aircon wouldn't cycle properly and we had to keep turning it on. Not enough tea, coffee and sugar provided.
Our stay at Railay was all we hoped it would be.
We had the cheapest of accommodation and it was fine. The shower was a bit of a problem. The grounds were kept beautifully clean and you really felt like you were at a resort. though not a fault of the resort, lounge chairs around the pool were at a premium, other guests would "save" themselves a chair, and not return for hours, very annoying if you wanted a swim and there was nowhere to sit.
Hotel Feature Tip : Absolutely fantastic position.

Location,having 2 swimming pools,good reception desk,nice gardens.
Breakfast could be better for the price of the accommodation, service could be better in the restaurant as inclined to get the bill wrong.
Great place, good location, great beach but too many long tail boats during day making it a bit noisy, good adjoining beach with big cave compete with monkeys, hang on to your bag!safe place for kidsas beach slopes to sea gently and you can watch them while you are dining at the beachfront restaurant.
Travel tip : Make sure you book the hotel transfer as if the tide is out you may get your feet and your knees wet getting on and off the boat.

Beautiful spot on beach, great breakfast, lovely grounds, nice pool.
We spent New Years Eve at Railay so it was definitely worth it but next time (non-holiday) we would opt for the cheaper East side.
Sure the beach isn't as nice but it really is a short walk to the West side - and there are plenty of budget friendly restaurant options, shops, bars, etc... on the East side. Only the beach-side pool chairs (but there aren't many) and the included breakfast might draw us back -the variety of food was great and you can't beat that view with morning coffee.
Restaurant Tip : So it's not exactly what most people would accept as a restaurant but a woman on the East side of Railay has a small place (next to the recent construction and "Onsight" climbing school) where she serves AMAZING stews, curries, and noodle soups (and occasionally fried chicken) for lunch and dinner.

Location at railay Beach
Beautiful Grounds
Poor Wireless Internet Service
Limited lounge chair area at pool
The resort is ideally location at Railay Bay with a large beach with beautiful views of the water and cliffs from the dining and pool areas. Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The resort offers a full breakfast with fruit, juices, and hot entrees. The restaurant has good food and great pizzas.
The resort has two pools including a pool overlooking the beach. The pool and pool area were clean and well landscaped. The bay side of the resort has a path that leads to a trail to a private beach as well as access to rock climbing areas and several caves.
I would highly recommend this resort and Railay Beach.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rock climbing

Renovated and recent.
Privacy cottage is a strong point.
On the beach.
Railay Bay is very calm.
The pool which is not as big as other hotels.
Smell of sewage, which sometimes is persistent.
We spent 4 lovely days in the privacy cottage. it was worth it, feeling like we were the only ones.
The pool is not as big as expected, especially after comparing to other hotels in aonang/kophiphi.
Globally very satisfied with this hotel.
Food is good, although a bit more expensive than other hotels.
Would definitely go back again.
Hotel Feature Tip : Privacy Cottage is very interesting for couples or for family.

Peaceful, quiet, friendly staff, clean and neat rooms.
Railay Bay Resort & Spa is a very nice hotel, although it is quite expensive to stay. Especially the privacy cottage -room type is absolutely fabulous as you can spend your holiday in your own peace and have none of the every day hassle. Privacy cottage even has its own jacuzzi and outdoor shower on its private terrace. Restaurant of the resort has the best food that the Railay beach-area can offer. Staff is really helpful, and in case of problems (we had a problem with the lock on the door), the staff is there to sort things out in a few seconds. Phenomenal.
