Lovely hotel with good features and friendly staff

We thought we needed a bit of luxury on our holiday so splashe dout to stay at the Railay Bay Resort. We were not disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff who checked us in and then loaded our stuff onto the golf buggy and drove us to our room (never experienced that before- we felt like royalty). The room was very bright and fresh with everyhting clean. The ensuite was loevly with nice little features like pebbles around the bath and shower. There was a tv, fridge and complimentary use of umbrellas, slippers and dressing gowns. The breakfast was nice but some of the food was only just warm. The fresh omlette was good though. I would definitely recomment this place.

The hotel is located betwwen raily west and raily east, the pool and restaurant are on raily west which is a beautiful beach. There is also easy access to raily east where there are more restaurants and bars. The delux rooms are huge with a great bathtub and seperate shower. The breakfest is good and the food at the restaurant is good.

Railay is a lovely stop for relaxation

We had hear some negative reviews of the huts at the far east side of the resort. Complaints included the quality of the room, bad smells, and the distance from the gorgeous west beach. Let me tell you that the room was more then comfortable, located only meters away from a surprisingly scenic east side, and had a great hot shower with rocks.
Restaurant Tip:
Check out the "Local Food" place up the east side for great Thai food with really basic sitting. An experiece!

Feel like a backpacker and explore the East beach bars and restaurants in the night, cheap drinks and food,all walks of life become one there, also do the Thai cooking class, expensive but worth it.
Nightlife Tip:
Have a few drinks at home then try the East beach lay back style,mini marts are very cheap for alcohol.

Railay Bay Resort and Spa is a great hotel. You wouldn't really need to leave the resort if you didn't want to but it's also a great little area to explore. You do get a safe, so it wasn't such a big problem for me. And like I say, everything else was brilliant, this was just a hitch.

This hotle have a "Best " location inthe rairay beach .we live in the privet hut that have privet area with jacuzzi .The resort is pretty and well mantain .I walking around all rairay and fround this good than other place.Service is perfect ,Can speak english and have everything you want ,wifi and internet service .Abit expensive but work well for speed
The food is best inthe island .We love to spenta time honeymoon here .Thank

during our stay in thailand this was the most amazing hotel where we stayed, the staff was waiting for us on the airport as we agreed, and they took us to the hotel with bus, longtail boat and golfcar, it was very great first impression. Our bungalow was very nice, and isolated so we could have full privacy there, the phra nang beach was amazing and only a few minutes walk from the resort area. I liked the breakfast also, with lots of choice, but when we had lunch/dinner there the food wasnt really impressive and some staff was that nice. If you want to go to tours, there is a small office next to the reception where they have various choices, but please consider additional money for the transfer to the pier. Overall the hotel was very amazing, and great place to relax, I would definitely stay there again
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
we took a jungle tour to the hot spring waterfall, emerald pool, tiger cave and elephant trekking which we really enjoyed, for some additional money I could even drive the elephant myself
