clean, far away from crowdy places, romantic, private, also funny if you enjoy reggae life-style, a bit of jamaica in there. Everybody has to go.

Great Bang for the Buck at an Amazing Beach
Great location, great value, very helpful staff, beautiful grounds
8
Mostly summed up in the pros and cons. Overall it was well worth it. The location was really amazing with beach front property. We got a (off-season?) deal at pay two nights get one free which made the price really reasonable.
As to the cons mentioned above, we wished the people were more pleasant. They were great at the front desk but, while never rude or unhelpful, seemed kinda unhappy most everywhere else. Also, the prices for things like spa type activities, laundry, computer use at the internet cafe and drinks were much higher than other places on the peninsula. I guess they can't be blamed for that since people are obviously willing to pay for it but it would have been nice not to have to walk around to get these things.

Railay Bay Resort & Spa
It is a great hotel with some very friendly staff and with a swimming pool and restaurant with a great view of the Beach
8.3
Railay is a great relaxation spot which you can use as a base for going on a few trips and climbing. The staff were great at the hotel - always willing to help and providing us with Singha beers on request.
But we did hear of someone in our groups money being stolen from their room (the room was also cleaned at the same time) which was unfortunate so would encourage everyone who stays there to use the safe provided as I think the temptation was perhaps too much.
The hotel is clean boasting some of the best toilets in Railay in the restaurant and the spa was fantastic also. They also provided transfer to and from the airport at a reasonable cost with water on the minibus and a surprisingly chilled bus driver for Thailand which was nice.
Would definately go again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I have been to Railay Beach before and booking the trasfer is so much easier as you leave when you need to rather than having to wait until their are 8 people wanting to leave on the boat and then getting a taxi. Also they will carry your bags for you which is great as otherwise you will have to carry it on your head from the boat! :o)

I'd go back!
bungalows were modern in design, nice pool< lovely beach, good breakfast for thailand
6.7
Railay bay Hotel is good value for money for what you pay if you're not expecting a 5 star hotel. Room was well designed and appointed (modern asian style), but as we were in a bunglaow on the end of a row near the shop, the fluoro lights shone into our room at night which wasn't great for sleeping. We were on the east side of the resort so the music from the bars down the beach was very loud and prevented sleep at night. Ask for a room away from the east side. Bed mattress was pretty uncomfortable, not sure if its like this in all the rooms. Breakfast had everything you would be looking for and was a pleasant surprise. The service at breakfast could be a bit hit and miss and you could tell the staff weren't working for tips. All in all no biggies and I would go back again.

It worth
clean, comfortable, enjoyable
9.7
I stayed there for 3 comfortable nights. This resort spread from west coast to east coast, and rooms of west coast are of higher price. I booked the cheapest room type and was send to the east coast by shuttle after check-in, which was a little disappointed since I had thought I wud face the west coast. Breakfast there is colorful, they provide Thai food, bread, cake, fruit, cornmeal, drinks and so on. In short, my staying there was very satisfied.

Wonderful relaxation in a beautiful place
location, swimming pools, room
8.7
Hotel is beautifully situated with amazing views on the West side. Rooms were very comfortable, and swimming pool was very nice. I found the cheapest rooms, the Deluxe Rooms perhaps the best as situated in a quieter part of the resort, and with better views from the room. Breakfast was good with beautiful views of the bay. Very nice and clean beach, and fun to walk among the coral when the tide is out. Getting to and from the hotel was easy with the longtail boat. Even though the hotel was almost full, it did not seem to be overly crowded either on the hotel grounds or on the beach.
Three items the hotel could work on: 1) some aspects of the hotel need touching up to match areas recently renovated, and some of the post construction materials need to be disposed of to make the overall resort a little prettier. 2) Although the windows are frosted, there is a need for curtains in the windows between the cottages as light comes through both from natural light in the morning as well as electric light from the neighbors at night. Not a huge problem, but would make sleeping a little better. 3)Several staff warmed up to us as time went on, but there could be a little warmer atmospher from staff.
Overall a wonderful time though and we hope to go back again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Great walk to the caves and beach close by.
