Good Pool Big rooms

Room decor a bit tired

Stayed here over new year- its well located between east and west beaches. Rooms are spacious with a nice balcony though decor is a little tired and the carpet in our room was stained. The pool is good and the staff friendly and helpful.

nice setting, clean rooms, nice pool,

ugly walkway to get there, unpractical bathroom

nice hotel, centrally located. Stayed there 4 nights, the pool although small has a very nice setting as does the restaurant. Railay is still gorgeous but very commercial and the prices are probably the highest in Thailand. Better stay at Ao Nang and take the 80THB boat to visit.

Easy access to beaches, good breakfast, quiet, comfortable, access to affiliate hotel's swimming pool on the beach

(1) No shelves or drawers to put clothing and personal items --> needed to use our luggage for that purpose; (2) hallway light is right in front of bathroom window, bringing light into the room at night - needed to use a towel to block it

Overall, we enjoyed our stay on this hotel. The location is very good, only five minutes walk from the beach, rock climbing, boat rides and other attractions. The surrounding area of the hotel is very beautiful. The only cons were that there were no shelves or drawers to put cloting or personal items in the room and that a hallway lamp was just in front of the bathroom window, bringing light into the room at night.

nice hotel, nice environment, friendly staff

the constructions works around

The hotel is nice and clean, people are very friendly. The breakfast was quite ok. We had a good time there, however there were a lot of constructions going on around the hotel. The garden could have been cleaner, some rubbish was there always.

Great pool, nice staff, good cocktails, quiet and relaxing

Buffet breakfast

The Railay Princess Resort and Spa was perfect for a relaxing few days. The pool was never too crowded and the location of the resort in Railay made it convenient to access all beaches and yet still remain quiet and private. The staff was efficient and made the stay that much more agreable.

Excellent service at front desk and waiters were lovely. Nice rooms. Very good pool area.

Showers did not have hot water as advertised. I was charged for food in the minibar that I didnt eat.

Princess Railay Resort is a great plcae to stay. It is closer to the East beach where the cheaper food places are, and close walk to climbing roots. It is a bit of a walk to the west beach, but I did not mind this. The resort itself is lovely with great service at front desk and lovely waiters in the restaurant. The pool area is very nice with 2 for 1 cocktails between 12-2pm. The showers did not have hot water, but they were warm. If you dont like big/high pillows take your own - I found them to be very uncomfortable. Breakfast dosnt have a huge selection compared to other places, but lovey omlets! I would stay here again.

Great pool good view

not beachside the pond is a bit smelly water stream in shower is slow and not hot enough

Location is in the middle between west and east sides. so need 150m walk to the west side beach. (no beach on the east side) room is quite nice. though shower stream is slow and water temperature is inconsistent. breakfast is ok, though look for ants on your table. the pool with spring board is great.

Hotel Feature Tip : can rent DVD movies for free.

The staff, the pool, the food, the peace and quiet when you want it!

Occassional horrible smell through airconditioning and bathroom sink. Cleaners should vacuum rooms everyday - but they don't!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Raillay Princess Resort and Spa. Most of the staff were warm, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Several of the staff were very good models for the rest of the staff. We enjoyed the meals, particularly the steak sandwiches which were great to eat beside the pool - it was awesome to eat real steak, just like back in new Zealand. The rooms were comfortable, but at times, awful smells would come out of the air conditioning and the bathroom. The bathroom smells seemed to come up the drain pipe whenever you turned the hand basin tap on. Running water for 5 minutes in the hand basin helped.

Shopping Tip : A trip to the "Big C" in Krabi Town was well worth while for general groceries and wine! Everywhere else we went was definitely more expensive.

Good pool in a great setting, decent breakfast, good sized room, comfy beds, resident gibbons and use of pool towels even for the beach, staff very polite.

Got small shock from the metal Fittings in the shower, very expensive laundry, Internet access was poor.

The Railay Beach Princess provided a comfortable stay, being a short walk away from the fantastic beaches in the area. The staff were warm and welcoming in the most part, and the breakfast sufficient...however, getting small electric shocks in the shower meant us having to be moved to a different room! And seeing a gibbon walk along your balcony is a sight to behold.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definitely do the Railay viewpoint climb, the start of which is located on the walk between East Railay beach and Phranga beach. The climb looks daunting from the bottom but it really isn't once you start, just make sure you're wearing trainers, not flipflops! You'll be hot and shattered by the top but the view is amazing over the peninsula and there's a lagoon too! Enjoy.

Clean, good pool, good location

Not much.

The hotel was located nicely in the middle between the east and the west side. Hotel was clean and in good order. Very nice pool as well with towels to borrow and there was also a small pub with food/beers/drinks next to the pool. The hotel’s guests were mostly families with kids at the hotel so it was silent and calm during the nights. It is a little bit tricky to get to the hotel. No pier in Ao Nang so you have to walk to the Longboat. Otherwise recommended and value for the money.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try out the boat travels to all the islands around. Dont miss the beach on the far south side either.

Swimming Pool, Stunning grounds, v.attentive service, free dvd rental

Not on a beach

Staying at Railay Princess was a total Privilage. the staff were very attentive and very friendly. It was quiet in the evening. The fantastic pool was great with stunning cliffs on view. 2 mins from East beach and 5 mins from West. A family orientated resort with lots of things for the kids to do.

Hotel Feature Tip : Even if it rains, there is a fantastic array of the latest blockbusters to rent on DVD and watch in your room.

Nice room with good view to the garden/lagoon. Very beautiful place, among impressive cliffs. Three minutes from the beach.

As a SPA, I think that a good sauna was missing.

The location is impressive, very near the typical karstic hills of Krabi region. It compensates the fact of not being on the beachfront. The swimming pool is nice (the hydro massage jets could be better positioned to allow neck and shoulder massage). The restaurant is good but is always empty because people go to the beaches restaurants. The room is comfortable and the staff is friendly.

Location, courteous staff,

Limited facilities with very high prices, power outage during stay

I think that overall this hotel was about one star short of what is claimed on this site. The hotel was nice enough but I later found out that I could have stayed at the place next door for less and better facilities. This hotel is sistered with the higher end Railay Beach resort and their extras reflect this. Internet service very expensive, cost for tours & transfers at least 20% higher then the place next door and 100b to print one page. They shouldn't charge West beach prices on the lower (but still very enjoyable) East beach! Putting that aside, the place was clean, comfortable and reasonable.

Nightlife Tip : The East Beach has all of the night life. West beach tends to cater for families, newlyweds and retired people (nothing wrong with that at all....just an observation)
