Service, location, food, hotel features

nothing I can think of really, maybe improve the english skills of the staff but we did not find that a hindrance at all

I cannot really describe how fantatsic our stay was. The one feature that really stood out was the staff. right from when we arrived at the airport. the two hour ride from phuket was very comfortable. the staff at the resort knew who we were and shared information. For example, once they found out that I was allergic to shell fish, they made sure any food I ordered at any of their restauraunts did not have shell fish. Another example was when we came back from a private boat trip. One of the satff members noticed that my wife had redness in one of her eyes and immediately sent a nurse to our room!!! other than that, the location, food and facilities were out of this world. I have been to some of the top resorts around the world and am having difficulty finding one that matches up to this place on every level. If you are not a budget traveler. this is a resort I would definetely recommend.

Restaurant Tip : eat at all the restaurants at this resort but also walk around on railay beach for some snacks and shopping

expensive. Food/restaurants only average.

Great location on the peninsular, with access to three beaches. Great swimming pool and very attentive and helpful staff. Expensive (both in terms of room rates and cost of drinks and food and other items once there) - particularly in comparison with other 5 star hotels in Thailand, but has a captive market as being the only hotel of this standard in the area so is understandable to some extent. Phuket and Phi Phi are without doubt better value for money so if you're looking for luxury without breaking the bank then head elsewhere, but the Rayavadee is a class act.

Fabulous setting with access to two great beaches. Spacious rooms.

Extremely poor standard of food, particularly in the Thai restaurant. Low water pressure make showers difficult and baths impossible.

I stayed at this resort in 2000 and was very impressed, particularly by the high standard of food. My second visit (in 2009) could not have been more different - the food was so bad that we had to eat at the restaurants in the much cheaper resorts along the beach. The Thai restaurant in particular was awful - even the most basic roadside cafe does better in Thailand.
