SALA TALAY Resort & Spa, Krabi

The hotel was beautiful and the pool was great (for swimming laps and for relaxing!). There was a computer available with free internet. It is right on Ao Nang, but a few minutes away from the main tourist area (still walkable). The breakfast was very yummy and Chumpong (may have spelled that wrong) was a very helpful staff member. The hotel appealed to families and couples alike.

We went at the low season, end of May for Memorial Day weekend, and that's probably why we were able to book a room in the first place! This place is the absolute best in Ao Nang - newest to the town literally as this is at the end of the current development on the main road. The hotel is very well designed. Rooms are posh and very comfortable. Restaurant's on the second floor, open to the elements facing the beach. Having a made-to-order breakfast there and watching the water changes color with the hour is one of the best moments of my trip! They make great drinks at the bar, too. They don't hoard or overdose their alcohol - it was just done right. Hassan at the bar makes the absolute BEST Irish Coffee. Drinking at the bar late at night while playing chess was the best memory for me and my bf on this trip. We were basically the only ones there and it felt like we owned this place! This place must be run by some westerners who monitors quality control constantly. It makes the hotel next door looks like a motel. I would not recommend anything but! Think Ian Schrager, and Sala Talay is what it is. I checked availability for Christmas and it's already booked full.

nice,because a room is new and good decoration also quite and private because hotel not big but situated not far from shopping street ,but the beach in front of hotel is not beutiful but closely from hotel just across street,breakfast is not bad
