Spacious rooms - we had the village suite. Excellent sunset and drinks on terrace. Good proximity to other islands and beaches - hotel can arrange boat transfer. Swimming pool very refreshing. Unintrusive. Felt like you were on an island and not mainland Thailand.
Had to pay for glasses of ice (only minimal cost - but it's only ice!!)
Bedding could do with a bit of sprucing up and the rooms could do with a splash of colour - no qualms about cleanliness though and wardrobe space was good.
We stayed in October and were really pleasantly surprised by the rooms and the location and the general standard of the resort. Very pleased with the staff and the fact that you were left alone to do your own thing when needed.
Nice peaceful resort but busy at sunset - which was good for us with having an exuberant five year old.
Would recommend this resort.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You must walk through to the other beach (East Railay) and then to Cave Beach (Phranang Beach). Stunning!!

Decent pool with plenty of loungers and gets sun all day.
Has good access to both the east and west side of the island
bed was quite hard - and definitely was no different to any of the others despite being labelled as a deluxe room.
Breakfast isn't great.
I love railay beach its one of the best places in the world. Sand Sea is everything you need to get the most of out it, its one of the cheapest which face out onto the east (and nicer) side of the island and near to a mini mart and bar. One point to note is its muslim, so they do not sell booze, but you can bring your own (which is cheaper anyway!)
Nightlife Tip : if you go to the west side there is a good restaurant that plays nightly movies
