Service is superb, lots of facilities and good choice of restaurants. A bit too big and the beach could be better. There should also be more staff serving drinks in other areas apart from the pool. The Sheraton is a very good hotel with superb food and some nice touches such as the golf buggies to ferry you around. It doesn't WOW you though and needs some finishing touches to be able to truly class itself as 5 star, eg too many plastic glasses. The booking service for excursions is very good and having free internet is useful, but why limit it to 45 mins (very cheap).
Shopping Tip : Walk to the shops at the back of the hotel and buy some drinks to have in your room. Will save you a lot of money.

A few local restaurants outside the hotel.
Very quiet little town.
The beach was rather nice and clean.
Local restaurants on the beach. Rather high prices for drinks and restaurants compared to what you can get just 2 minutes walk outside the hotel The hotel is located on a quiet beach. There is a small town next to it. If you are looking for a place to relax and do nothing. This is the place. But if you want nightlife, you would not have any! The hotel is rather big and the room is a bit old-style. The staff was courteous. Great with free internet access even though it was rather slow...
Restaurant Tip : Try the Terrace Restaurant right across the road from the hotel.

Sheraton in Krabi was an outstanding experience. Beautyful location, excellent service and a perfect place to be if you want a quiet vacation, but still want to be close to the Islands such as Hong, Phipi etc. Price of food and especially wine in the restaurants where a bit high, but the quality where excellent.A DVD player in the room would be nice. We had a wonderful stay at Seraton Krabi. The location of the resort is outstanding, and we were amased of it´s beaty once we arrived. The staff was extremly helpful, and very alert to our situation, traveling with an baby. For instance, when we arrived it was my 36´th birthday and two hours later, a birthday cake arrived with compliments from the hotel - a small thing, but for us an nice experience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Traveling by boat to Hong Islands, Phipi Islands.

location, facilities, proximity to beach, activities,green setting, good staff. very secure. food was average and breakfast closes too early. my second visit to this hotel was just as good as the first time. it is a stunningly beautiful and peaceful location that give a sense of tranquility and calm in all aspects. the rooms are quite nice and functional, and the staff helpful and polite.\nthe proximity to a very nice beach in Ao nang is their best feature , as many other beaches in this area are rocky , muddy and even a bit industrial[such as further up near the Sofitel.\nthere are some nice small restaurants and massage shops outside the hotel, just a short walk away.\n

Picturesque layout, great beach, lovely swimming pools and great restaurants. Not much difference between standard rooms and deluxe rooms for the extra cost. The location of this hotel and all hotels on this stretch of beach are quite far from any touristy areas. The closest place to do some shopping was the Ao Nang beach but was around 20 minutes by taxi. When we arrived at the hotel we were immediately greeted by friendly staff and the check-in process was the most relaxed I have had at any hotel. The staff were all very fluent in English and extremely helpful and polite. The service in this hotel was exceptional. The two infinity pools are very beautiful with plenty of individual space for relaxing as couples. The spa staff were also exceptional and professional and we thoroughly enjoyed all the treatments provided there. The Malati restaurant and bar was amazing for relaxing and having a drink at sunset and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. If you required something that was not on the menu the waiters were very happy to arrange a special order.

There are now several eateries and shops just outside the hotel so if you decide not to go in to town, you have options besides the hotel restaurants.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Down the end of the road is a national park and you can rent bikes from the hotel and ride over there, hike in the hills and see a waterfall and continue on for a gorgeous sea view.
