Wonderful swimming pool

staff have problems communicating in English though they are very friendly and willing to help

My children loved the swimming pool which is claimed to be the biggest in Thailand. However the wooden decking gets very warm in the sun so the kids need flip flops to avoid burnt feet. The hotel is in a quiet location , 10 - 15 mins outside Ao Nang. There is no nightlife outside hotel. We had a lovely pool lunch, prices normal Asian standard for hotels of this standard. The staff were very friendly and willing to help but struggle to communicate in English.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We all enjoyed the Krabi 5 island tour by motorboat

Overall my experience was a good one but if I went back to the area I would stay closer to the restuarants and bars of Ao Nang. However for somebody looking for seclusion - you have found it with this hotel. Just make sure you can cope with a hard bed!!!

- Ridiculously large pool! - Great pool side bar menu! - Beautiful large grounds - quiet location - A hotel that can boast 5 stars for its executive feel. - Large, comfortable rooms. - Close to beach

- Prices are a bit steep for Thailand. Breakfast buffet in particular! - Located in Klong Muang, so it is a bit far from town, hence pricey taxi rides. Good if you prefer to be away from Ao Nang and in isolation. - A road in between the beach and hotel grounds with trucks driving by now and then.

I was very impressed with the immense hotel grounds and long drive way to get to the open hotel lobby, which had huge doorways, high ceilings and was one of the few places in Thailand, never mind South East Asia that gave that Grand, Executive feeling that will make you feel underdressed in flip flops, shorts and a T-shirt. Because of the sheer size of the hotel, with hundreds of rooms, the walk to our room seemed to take a while but it was well worth it when we got to our room which had a good view of the pool and the ocean. The room was very large, with a very traditional, colonial feel to it. It didn’t take us long to get into our swimming wear and head down to the pool which was by far the biggest I’ve ever seen in my life at a whopping 16,000 sq m!!! It seemed to go on for ever. What I particularly liked was the food we ordered from the bar. Yes the prices were Western standard but well worth it. The Roast Beef sandwich and tropical shake went down very well sitting on the stools, half submerged in the pool. After a very relaxing day in the pool, we just crossed the road, walked along the beach and drove into tow in our rented car later in the evening for some dinner. This is the perfect place to stay on the last day of your trip in Krabi if you’re tired of activities and just want to spend your time relaxing by the pool or on the beach before catching the taxi to the airport.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Renting a car will prove good value for money. I recommend driving down to Klong Thom for the Emerald Pool and Hot streams (waterfall hot springs). Its not particularly easy to find and you may prefer taking a tour but going in the early evening without hoardes of tourists might be more appealing. Driving too and from Ao Nang in your rent a car will save you money as it costs 1,000 baht a day for an automatic and 500 each way by taxi. I also recommend getting your laundry done in Klong Muang, a little town where the prices are cheap and you can pick them up the following day enroute to the airport pressed, ironed with a fresh smell of softener.

i would not personally recommend staying here... it is in a poor location, with nothing to offer once there... all in all its expensive for poor quality!!

Restaurant Tip : Eat outsite hotel after breakfast... as the remaining food options are sub-standard. Venture in to Ao Nang for some enjoyable food

eat elsewhere or even better stay elsewhere, would recommend ao nang beachfront...

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : venture off to koh phi phi for a day trip (or even stay there for a few days) as Ao Nang is more of a seaside town

Really nice getaway when you want to relax. If you rent a motor bike, you can easily acess some beautiful beaches and you get to Ao Nang in about 15 min.

Doesn't have a private beach; the housekeeping were not professional, cannot make the room clean, think about that. We were so upset!
