Delightful romantic hotel- great for couples
Small complex, out of the main drag. quiet and wonderful pool
10
this hotel is a gem. it is well away from the hussle and bussle of ao nang's main drag. it is a peaceful tropical oasis about 10-15 minutes; walk only, away from the main drag and the beach, but no real distance and an easy only slightly uphill walk. our bungalow was private and although a small room was quite ok and the outdoor bathroom with shower in a tiny walled garden was cute. the pool is great and only a few people using it as it was quiet time of year (april). the breakfast served to the room is a delightful touch and only usually available in much more expensive establishments. the staff were friendly and helpful. we will be back.
Restaurant Tip:
Plenty of restaurants all the way along the road from the hotel to the main drag of Ao Nang but the one we liked was right at the entrance to the hotel -very casual and very, very cheap but good food and lots of choice.

Unique hotel setup.. Close to nature..
Breakfast served to the room!

Fantastic location for shopping. A very nice hotel which brings you really close to nature with an open concept bathroom. Do be careful of the mosquitoes and insects at night though. Also, the bathroom and toilet is merely separated from the neighbors with wooden planks; you can actually hear next door.

Oasis in Au Nang
Lovely rooms, wonderful outdoor shower, quaint and cosy, friendly and helpful service
8.3
The Cliff Ao Nang Resort is a wonderful oasis in busy touristy Ao Nang. It is cosy enough for discerning travellers who want to avoid the crowds with lovely chalet rooms surrounded by greenery. The outdoor bathroom is romantic and unique although look out for wildlife like frogs if you are using the loo at night! Served by friendly and helpful staff, I would not hesitate recommending the Cliff to couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Pleasant and quiet
Near enough to Ao Nang to walk to everything, but secluded enough to be quiet and restful. Beautiful view.
8.7
We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Cliff Ao Nang. [It is important to note that there's another hotel with almost identical name--this does cause some confusion]. The rooms are pleasant and clean and the outdoor bathroom is lovely. The view of the cliffs from around the pool area is amazing, and the plants and flowers on the grounds are beautifully done. We really enjoyed the private breakfast served in front of the room each morning, but it based on what we saw, it looks like you also have the option of eating in the dining room.
It's certainly not a luxury hotel (we were not expecting one) but it really is pleasant. Our only real complaint was the service. The hotel staff were uniformly friendly and cheerful, but frequently got things wrong. We'd arranged for a hotel pick-up and waited for over an hour at the airport before we called the front desk. We called and no one answered. After taking a private taxi to the hotel we asked what had happened, and a simple "Oh! Sorry " was all we got. Similarly, there were other things that were mistaken or forgotten. Again, the sorries were always polite, but were not followed with any kind of attempted compensation. All in all, we would still recommend The Cliff--especially for a quiet option in crowded Ao Nang.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We rented a motorbike from the hotel--a little bit more than the downtown options in Ao Nang, but worthwhile to have it brought to the door (and to be able to return it at the hotel). It was really fun to wander around Krabi via motorbike. Definitely recommended.

Lovely hideaway
Quiet, comfortable bed, outdoor bathroom, nice pool
7.7
This was the perrfect place to come back to after a hard day island hopping, swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing. Beds are wonderfully firm but comfy. A/c works well and quietly. Outdoor bathroom is a nice touch. We loved that breakfast is served on your terrace every morning - very romantic start to the day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Be sure to get a massage at the Massage Center about 5 mins walk down the road.

Great little boutique hotel, lovely room, lots of character and fab outdoor bathroom. Breakfast was very nice, especially to have it delivered and layed out on the table outside your room.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Lots to do in Ao Nang and the walk to the beach from the hotel is not too far. Great restaurents and bars nearby.

Nice pool, good view, quiet
outdoor bathroom - was lovely, free internet, included breakfast - either served to your room, or restaurant
6.7
lovely surrounds, great view of the cliffs, short walk into the main part of town and the beach
It took a day of leaving the fan on to get rid of the mustiness, and we left it on to prevent it coming back
